Location close to airport and other areas for shopping, laundry, groceries, fast food and breakfast

The room had a mustiness kind of like the smell in a basement , however I placed baking soda containers around and used disinfectants which made it better

-Pretty straightforward check-in process. -The fact that there is no damage deposit held, something that usually takes days to get back

-Someone pretending to be a security guard was wandering around in an unmarked vehicle, askingpeopleif they were guests at the property. -Scrambled eggs included in the breakfast options could be cooked a little longer. -No daily housekeeping for those with a short stay. It only happens every 3 days, according to the front desk.

The front desk staff was great. They were knowledgeable and helpful. Gave us good referrals. The maids were accommodating and efficient. The rooms were comfortable overall, and I would refer others. Centralized location. Near great restaurants.

It was really cold in the room. Water came in skylight. Spoke to a male maintenance worker concerning water he said ok. He was next to the maid's cart, and I asked him for more coffee and replacement towels in exchange for the dirty towels I left. He stated that there was no coffee on the cart, and I needed to call for new towels. I found the maid who was accommodating.

The room was a good size and very clean - the housekeeper was absolutely lovely, so friendly and kind. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She deserves a raise! The breakfast was lovely, very fresh and tasty - a mix of different scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, porridges, yoghurt, muffins, toast, juices and hot drinks. Convenient location for the airport and getting the bus to the train station to head into the city.

I was put in a room at the back of the motel, the train was very noisy and very frequent. The tracks and rail crossing is right next to this building. The smell of marijuana was very prominent at this motel, although it is legal in california, it should not be used in public spaces. It stunk. Other guests were quite noisy at times, there should be signs requesting people be a bit quieter outside other people's rooms. The TV was awful - hardly any channels and everyone looked orange on screen. Rooms are quite dated and in need of modernisation but they are comfortable enough. No curtains. The shutters are good, but people can see a little into your room through the gaps in the shutters and if a car parks in front of your room, the lights can be bright!

The entire ambience of the place was enticing. The Spanish motif, from a complex obviously built decades ago, has been well-maintained. Also, the breakfasts can't be topped (and I've been to a lot of hotels)! The best breakfast I've ever experienced was at SFO El Rancho.

The $15 parking fee for guests was outrageous! We're guests, and paying for our room! So why should we have to pay extra to park there overnight?! That alone made the price higher than they advertised, and that alone will cause us to question whether we want to stay there again. Also, there is some work at least our room needed. There is no bathroom fan, so I opened the bathroom window, only to find that the screen had been cut out with a knife, and that the window was very loose in its frame, wobbling heavily from one side to the other as I raised it.

Pretty nice spot with good character, nice for airport (20USD for Uber) or a 1 mile walk +BART in a non-sketchy neighborhood. Nearby shops. Millbrae a good area.

All throwaway plates and plastic cutlery at breakfast. This was a genuine shock for us, first time in the US. Maybe it's more normal. But so much waste, which is completely unnecessary. 219 rooms (take occupancy at 100 average per night, to be generous) 100 X 365 plates + cutlery + cups = 36,500 thrown away plates, knives, forks and coffee cups per year (real figure is probably much higher as this is San Fran and occupancy is high!). Kind of a shocking waste to be honest.
