The price is right. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. There's a direct airport transfer bus that has a stop right near the hostel plus other bus stops/tram stops close by.

Incredibly humid everywhere in the building to the point where it was unbearable. The rooms are generally dirty with dust just swept under the beds instead of being cleaned up, and smell musty because there's no ventilation. The rooms are small for the standard 18-bed set up. Every common room is crowded-even the kitchen at 2am has people milling around.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations! We stayed in a private room with two beds. It was small but had everything we needed, and the high ceiling and a big window made it feel cozy and more spacious. The toilets and showers on the 4th floor were really clean and comfortable. The kitchen was clean and well equipped and the staff were all super nice and helpful! The hostel is located a bit further away from the city center, but has great tram and bus connections and the airport bus stops nearby as well. There’s also a 24h supermarket in the same building, which was really convenient. We will definitely come back!

loved the service again. Once a month I have to stop over on a trip and to rest it's great. I have no complaints, but there are some terms I don't understand or maybe I don't know if it's allowed. For example, in the rooms, lights on, dinner, computers, cell phones, noises after 11 at night when the person is trying to rest. I think the common areas are for that and the room for sleeping or resting. Today I'm going home without having slept at all. Private area, women's bathroom, there should be more control over who enters. This morning I couldn't shower because there was a man brushing his teeth with a girl and she hid him in the shower until I left. But the place is very good. I have no complaints about the quality, prices, service, location, and attention of the staff. Thank you.

If you book a double private room, ask to be placed far down the hallway away from reception Rooms 210, 211, 212, 213, 214 are LOUD. There's no soundproofing and the hallway echoes so all the noise from reception and the, bathrooms amplifies into the room and the doors slam quite loudly.

Excellent location. Close to trams and buses and has an Alepo (supermarket) on location that is most definitely a lifesaver. You will want for nothing. Moreover, I travelled for conference and needed help with printing and documentation, this was easy and well attended to at minimal cost. The people are respectful, helpful and pretty much give the kindest service. You will definitely not have to worry about English speaking people. They are everywhere and you can get along just fine speaking no Finnish. I did enjoy learning the names of Finnish places though.

The kitchen was small. They have three refrigerators and they were jammed because everyone enjoyed preparing their own meals. A larger kitchen would be ideal.

A very affordable place to stay in Helsinki. It is not in the city centre but very well connected by public transportation. The area is however nice and authentic, and there are grocery stores, some nice cafes, and flea markets nearby. The hostel has everything you need but since it's huge and there are many many people, it lacks vibe. The shared kitchen and bathrooms can get crowded at peak times and you might need to wait for your turn. However, there are some socializing activities arranged by the staff and volunteers which give some opportunities to meet people. The wifi works well but it's public, w/o password - maybe useful info for those who need to work remotely.

If you even buy breakfast in Alepa, coffee is free! If you want to go to shower, the best time to do it is not too late in the evening or in late morning, because the mornings are busy and in evenings the shower area is real fload! I like the system in fridges, where you mark your food as yours, the lockers and comfy bed! Also, there is a privat "corner" to hide with your phone! If you're studnent and living temporary as I did, I suggest to go studying to library, because the place is lively and i didn't see the plugs for my laptop there. I also like that in reception hall the music changes depending of day/night time, whish makes it comfy and pleasant in any time of the day!

The crew were very good and nice people I feel like I am at home and they are good people and not racists I wish them happiness from the bottom of my heart. I have been to more than 30 countries and I have never seen in my life this treatment that the crew gave me. They are very kind people. I cannot find the words to express what I feel in my heart. I advise people to go to this hotel because you do not feel like a stranger in this hotel because the reception was beautiful and wonderful and the people were very kind and I greet all the greetings of the people who received me and treated me well and I wish them happiness from the bottom of my heart and I wish them a beautiful life. I am sorry I did not remember the girl who received me and the man from which country they are the reception that received me I would like to visit their country

As the name says, it is a cheap sleep, but it is a great one. Of course, there are different levels of comfort. I stayed in a shared room with four beds, and it was perfect; I also moved to a two-bed bedroom, which worked perfectly. Closets that unlock with your door card are included. The staff was super helpful, and there was a 24-hour reception so you could arrive whenever it suits you.

There are many people sleeping in, so the level of cleanliness deteriorates quickly. They do their best to keep it tidy, but having shared toilets and showers will always be difficult, especially when the night is cheap.

Hostel is quite big, there's a lot of common spaces that I didn't had time to use so I can't say much. It's a little outside of the city center but there's tram going very often. You get a card to open the door and use locker. The room was clean (toilets not so much but that's because of people I guess). In female dorm every bunk bed is placed separately which gives some privacy for guests. And I really like that in the bathroom also every toilet is placed separately with sink and showers had lot of shelves to keep your stuff behind the curtain while taking a shower.

Staff gave me card for wrong locker but it was fine since there was no one to use it anyways.
