The price is right. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. There's a direct airport transfer bus that has a stop right near the hostel plus other bus stops/tram stops close by.

Incredibly humid everywhere in the building to the point where it was unbearable. The rooms are generally dirty with dust just swept under the beds instead of being cleaned up, and smell musty because there's no ventilation. The rooms are small for the standard 18-bed set up. Every common room is crowded-even the kitchen at 2am has people milling around.

Staff was very friendly, location excellent, nightly activities and social atmosphere, comfortable bed.

If you book a double private room, ask to be placed far down the hallway away from reception Rooms 210, 211, 212, 213, 214 are LOUD. There's no soundproofing and the hallway echoes so all the noise from reception and the, bathrooms amplifies into the room and the doors slam quite loudly.

I think I liked the location of my bunk. It was enclosed within 4 walls, very private, quiet and I didnt feel like i was in an 18 bed dorm.

The showers on the second floor had very little to zero privacy. There were only curtains with anything to secure them in place. I had to use the showers on the 4th floor for bath. It was inconvenient.

The location is great and easily accessible by bus from the airport. The staff is also very friendly. I liked my common room, it was very quiet and clean

Very good location. It's not far from the center and the tram stop is right at the entrance. Also, the arrive to the place, you can take a direct bus from the airport that stops around the corner. So the access to the place is a major advantage. The place is clean and private rooms are nice, not outstanding but with enough privacy to feel comfortable. Another advantage: 24/7 supermarket right under the hostel! The communitary bathrooms are better than expected. It has several private stalls with sink and also several separate showers (in the case of girl's bathrooms).

The place is a bit dark and old. The kitchen and bar is not super equipped. Having private rooms with private bathrooms would be ideal. Other than that, the place is very convenient for that price.

It was a very solid value for the Nordic Countries, a well-run hostel with very comfortable facilities (certainly in the double room, where we stayed). Walkable from the center, maybe around 45 minutes, but there are also excellent public transport opportunities. Easy check in and out, with clear and well-thought-out rules. One of the best perks was an ideal location directly above a cheap grocery store!

While the management has clearly done all the work in establishing order and keeping things comfortable, the vibe is pretty depressing. One gets the impression there are a lot of surly, long-term guests that we found destroyed any sense of community. Plus, a lot of hygiene habits left a lot to be desired, but that's hostel life for you...

The price of the hostel was great. The location was convenient - it took me around 30 minutes to go to the city centre using the tram station nearby. The staff was friendly too. Overall, I will recommend this budget-friendly place for solo travellers who want to experience Helsinki and save money for experiencing the sauna/food :)

The shower room on the second floor was a little bit hard to use and not really private (thankfully, not a lot of people were using it when I was there). The breakfast was also basic, and I will recommend people to explore cafes in Helsinki as their breakfast instead.

Surroundings: Easily accessible from the train station and airport. There is a direct bus running from near to the property to the airport. Cleanliness: The property and shower were clean. Amenities: The kitchen had all the required utensils. Parking is also available. Wifi signal range was good. The common area was really fun. The dining area was also big. They also have arcade games and many other card and board games. Good social environment. Bed: Comfy and clean beds. Miscellaneous: The staff was super friendly. Easy check-in and check-out process. Delicious breakfast with many options. Many socializing activities.

Even tough the rooms had more than 10 beds, it’s displayed in a way where it seems the guest is in a small room. For me, it was good. I had a sense of privacy that was lacking in the other hostels I stayed at. The facilities were always clean.

It was far from the city center, however the public transportation solved the issue. Also, it was hard to meet people, the hostel should invest in events so people can get to know each other - e.g. happy hour should be a bit later during the summer. :) any other than that, my staying was great!

The hostel is located close to the Pasila train station. The staff is very friendly. The reception is open 24/7. There is a kitchen and you can cook your own food. If you don’t want to cook yourself, the hostel has a buffet. The rooms are very spacious. Specifically, I was in a 24-bed room for women. Despite such a large number of people, there were divisions in the room. Because of these divisions, it was not so crowded.

There were too many people in the kitchen and there was no room to turn around. There are flies flying in the kitchen and eating area. I wanted a small shelf next to the bed.
