Very friendly and helpful people. Excellent breakfast. The room was spacious enough. The hotel is in 10 min. walk from the Pasila train station with a lot of trains to Helsinki city center (approximately 5 min in train, it looks like all or almost all trains to the Helsinki main station go through Pasila). So, it is a really convenient place to reach activities in the center of Helsinki. Additionally, near the entrance to the hotel, there is a stop of a tram, which seems to go also to the center. The restaurant in the hotel is very good, but quite expensive, as almost all restaurants in Helsinki (the kitchen closes somewhat early). A lot of shops nearby in the Tripla Mall (5 min. walk).

The Scandic Pasila hotel is situated in the neighborhood that is quite far from the city center. There are some advantages, e. g. one of the biggest shopping malls in Helsinki surrounded by the dynamically developing districts including the former industrial areas full of lofts, restaurants, cultural sites, etc. As for the hotel, it answers all standard expectations. Breakfast was various and delicious. Transport logistics is comfortable, a tram rides down behind the hotel windows, and a metro/railway station is located within the closer shopping mall.

I may explain it by the fact I was silly to have Russian as a basic language of a booking app in my phone. Our family usually speak Russian with each other. When we arrived and tried to check in at the reception desk, a receptionist suddenly asked us to show all our passports and then especially asked about my wife who has Russian passport with a residence permit in Estonia. She interested in her documents and also asked where is her Schengen visa. I answered that hotel clerk has no the same rights as police officer of border guard. Me and our daughters are Estonian citizens, but nevertheless we were asked about our reason to stay in Helsinki and the length of our stay as well after our check out. I consider such attitude as abuse of authority.

I have stayed at other Scandic Hotels before and always enjoyed them, and this one was no exception. They have some of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in and I would almost like to know where I can buy them. I was in Helsinki for a festival outside of the city centre, and the location was good for this purpose. The center itself wasn't too far away, either.

Breakfast was good, but comparing it to the other Scandic hotels I know a bit disappointing. If I stayed there for more than three nights, I would want a bit more variety or daily changes.

Breakfast was very generous, varied,delicious. We have allergies in the family and we were astonished to learn that hotel had a separate breakfast bar for all intolerances- gluten free, lacto free, vegan. Location of the hotel is superb, as it lies next to huge multi-storey mall that houses railway station. Hotel is located only one stop from the city centre (5 min - train). The rooms were spacious, we were able to house 5 large open suitcases around the room without tripping over it. Hotel has restaurant that serves dinner- the food we ordered was exquisite.

Wardrobe space

Love the beds, the tub, the heated metal hanger, the water boiler and free hot drinks that can be made in our own room! Rooms are clean and staff are pleasant. The breakfast is yummy and that they are promoting recycling.

- Parking should have been free. - Tv-casting did not work in our room. - No slippers, cold to walk to toilet at night. - There could be something new from the breakfast menu for different days. - Small play area for kids.

Probably this is the best breakfast I had in different hotels for last few years - I have a lot of work trips do different cities and countries, and breakfast is a typical problem for most hotels. However in Scandic Pasila they know how to make people happy :) The variety of products for breakfast is so huge, that anyone will find what they want - from vegan food to different meet etc. Good location, amazing staff (very polite and helpful). I have only positive things in mind.

The hotel is easy to reach by train when you come from Vantaa Airport and next to Tripla Mall with perfect train connection in all direction. It's also just a short walk- or scooter ride to the Helsinki Exhibition Center. The rooms have a very good size and comfy beds. Big gym area in the basement & sauna too. Breakfast was good and the food I tried in the Bellmanni Restaurant inside the hotel was excelent. Friendly- & helpful staff so to sum it up -this hotel will see me again when I come to Helsinki next time.

Had a nice, typical English breakfast with eggs, bacon and sausages, plus plenty of vegetables and fruit, as well as a few different types of bread and some sweets. Room was spacious and comfortable, kept clean and tidy every day. The location was close to the train station of Pasila, less than 10min walk away, so getting to and from the airport is simple.

The blackout curtains still let some light in. Given that the sun set roughly around 11:30PM and rose at about 4AM, unless someone is okay with sleeping with some brightness, bring a sleep mask.

The King size room is so big and comfortable. Excellent shower pressure, and a great breakfast buffet selection. It's a 10 min walk to the train, although it feels like 2 mins since is located inside a huge shopping mall. They have amazing food for dinner, and all staff speaks very good English. Is not close to the city center, but the commute is very easy. Really good stay for business travel on this side of the city.

The official check-in time was meant to be 14-15, but when we arrived at around 10 in the morning, the reception was sooo kind to let us check in already without any additional charges. For someone travelling for work that was greatly appreciated.

There was some renovation going on so the views were not that enjoyable. With that said no one is really to blame about this.
