This is a pretty new nice designed hotel (with a very fair price for Helsinki.) I requested a quite room and this is what I got - indeed, a very quite room on the 7th floor. Breakfast was excellent with a lot of good stuff (but missing deserts :) ) . Wellness center was nice with saunas on the roof with views. Check in and check out were available online

Rooms are small. No option to open windows. There was no table/desk in the room. Eventually, your bed converts into a desk, but for that you need to call someone. I didn't. There is a sink in the room (for what purpose?) - it would have been much better if there was a desk instead. The hotel is kinda far from the main attractions.

Booking.com said there is Pool sauna facility but in fact the price is not included. It is very unclear in the web. There is no shops around. We must take Uber

This is a lovely modern hotel, the atrium/ breakfast area is light and provides a variety of seating. Breakfast is delicious, with a massive choice and the staff open extra seating areas, as necessary. Everything is fresh and the Turkish yogurt, overnight oats, pear chutney and salmon (Sunday only I think), are worth a special mention. The staff helped with public transport query the first day and looked after our luggage before our late flight home on the last day.

The rooms and bathrooms are small but this is advertised before you book. It was actually ok for the three of us.

The staff was very nice, understanding and helpful. The bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was really good and had suffiecient options for all tastes and diets. The shower, although small, was nice (and was equipped with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner). The room had a kettle, clothes iron and a lot of sockets.

The room was really small (great for short stays, a bit tight on the room for couples). You did not have space in the room to eat. The wellness facility was not included in the price of the room (although when we booked, it was). The restaurant was quite expensive (dinner).

The valo hotel is the best hotel we have ever stayed yet, after the check in we went to explore the building, we found a rooftap terrace jacuzzi and sauna, there was also freezing pool which impressed us! The breakfast was exceptional!

*They gave us a keys which was not access to the wellness areas and we had to go the front desk to ask it! (This is their policy *They didnt bring in the room the bathrobe and slippers and again we had to go the front desk! *The double bed room was kinda small and doesn't fit two persons! *The dinner was not worth the price! Very expensive and not that good!

the architecture of the hotel is modern and impressive, everything functional, plenty of electrical sockets everywhere. Surprising how functional a 17 square meters room can be! The breakfast was excellent, there is a bus station in front of the hotel with plenty of buses that go to the center.

The double bed in the room is accessible from one side only which means that one partner has to climb over the whole bed and if you get up at night, it is very uncomfortable. No laundry room or service.

I loved the fresh and modern decor, and the smart rooms. It didnt feel like a hotel but something more permanent and home-like even. It was a good environment to get some work done as well! My room was on the 7th floor, which was convenient since I had booked the wellenss access every day. I enjoyed the saunas and swimming, and there is even complimentary yoga during the weekends! Breakfast was good (although at times a bit busy), especially the berry-oatmeal was fantastic. The hotel is a bit further from the centrum (20mins with a but), but then again close by to the "central park" area which is a great spot for long walks / runs in the beautiful finnish woods! You can go running and then dive into the sauna, so great! The hotel is also quite close to the airport, 15mins by car.

Breakfast was very busy and sometimes short of ingredients, but luckily you can also sit outside the main breakfast area with enough quiet spots and quiet corners for introvert-friendly mornings :)

This is a very modern hotel and everything from design to breakfast feels tailored for a new generation of travelers. Breakfast, for example, isn’t your typical hotel buffet but rather a curated selection using high quality ingredients. Amazing that vegans are properly catered to, too. Bed was comfy and, for once, there were enough outlets to charge devices. Many little touches like that here and there that make a difference and feel like a next gen hotel experience. The wellness area is outstanding. Gym is basic and small.

The location really isn’t great. The transportation options to city center and other parts of Helsinki are available, but beware there is nothing around the hotel itself. It takes a proper while to get anywhere. For me, the wellness area made up for the poor location. Without access to that included in the booking, I wouldn’t book here again.

The location is close to Helsinki centre - only 15min by bus which is close to the hotel and comes very regularly (i really advise using their HSL app for schedules and tickets). The spa and wellness area on the rooftop is amazing!! The authentic wooden sauna and cold plunge pool is soo refreshing after a long days walk around the city. The breakfast has a very wide rande of options - hot breakfast meals, salads, cheese/meat, lots of bread options, as well as desserts. The room is clean, functional and really tech savy - the HDMI ports in the walls close to the bed and sofa to connect to the TV I do not see often in hotels - great touch. Very good sound isolation!!

Most things about this hotel were absolutely fantastic. Breakfast was outstanding- so much choice and catering for a range of diets, the rooms stylish and comfortable. Gym and wellness area both good, gym very quiet and wellness area busy but not uncomfortably so. Location was good as long as you don’t mind a 20-25 minute bus journey to get to most attractions. As there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel, this didn’t bother us at all. Overall it was phenomenal value for money and we’d happily visit again.

My only (very minor!) complaint is that both the beds and pillows weren’t comfortable and this did interrupt sleep a little bit, but this certainly wouldn’t put me off visiting again.
