Best Western - Saluki Inn

Fantastic! It was nice having something other than a continental breakfast or breakfast in a box. The omlettes, waffles, biscuits with gravy, and bacon were a big hit!

Breakfast hours were not posted in room literature or online information so we missed it two days out of our stay. Had to ask at the desk when it ended. Would be helpful to make this easily understood by guests.

Room, including the bathroom, was very clean. lobby seemed very clean

could use a few touches to spruce it up (ie, some of the Saluki signs were off the doors and not replaced). 2 of the electrical outlets in our room weren’t great (one on the lamp didn’t work, and the other things trying to plug in came right out). parking not great, but ok

It was clean, welcoming and a good breakfast. The location was perfect for us. The bed and pillows were great. It could stand some remodeling but the cleanliness made that unimportant. The wifi was good and our room was very quiet so we were able to sleep well.

The hotel was nice enough to have a person to take us where we wanted to go. We came for the shawne e hills wine tour and there was not an Uber or a taxi in sight so I think they need more transportation to be able to take us to the wineries in the town Thank you Best Western for your hospitality for taking my daughter and I to the wineries I really appreciate it otherwise I don't know how we would have got there cuz we did not want to drive ourselves we don't know the town Thank you so much

Was there for SIU Rugby - 50th Anniversary Old Loads. Location was perfect, everything was so close. Room was fantastic, comfortable and clean.

My ONLY negative was the way the door slammed, and I mean SLAMMED, on the third floor stairwell. Room was right next to the stairwell and I could FEEL that door slam. Other than that, the room was perfect.

the bathroom was not handicap accessible, no grab bars in shower or near toilet. I didn't think of it when I booked the room. I have a problem with my legs & balance. Also, one rear entrance did not open, lock was messed up.

The breakfast was very good. The selection was more than satisfactory. The breakfast hours allowed flexibility in our sleep hours. The location was close to businesses I needed during my stay.

Parking was not as I expected but satisfactory.

Great location with lots of food options near by. We took the kids to Castle Park and Giant City State Park just minutes away. The staff was super friendly. Room was clean. Good water pressure. Very quiet. The breakfast was great! Lots of options and they kept everything hot and fresh. We would definitely stay here again.

The room smelled musty and the beds were soft. I usually like a more firm bed.

nothing that a little paint and changing the outdated fixtures wouldn’t hurt. housekeeping may need a little help. dirty carpet in hallway, they left a pillow case on floor. but it was clean.

The breakfast was decent. I only had grab and go, though they did have a lot of hot food options. I was driving so didn't want to be loaded down. The rooms were very clean and well kept.

The pool and exercise were under construction, which should not have been surprising during COVID times, but I was looking forward to relaxing after a long day of driving. The stairwells had a fresh painted smell, which was a little off-putting, but I'd rather the upkeep than not.
