A beautifully designed hotel in Marrakech with a well-maintained and stylish ambiance that perfectly fits the surroundings. The Arabian-inspired atmosphere adds to the charm. The staff is incredibly friendly, making the stay even more enjoyable. The breakfast is delicious and extensive, offering a great variety. I stayed in a suite with two bedrooms, which was spacious and comfortable. The beds were great, and the shower was excellent. The hotel features a lovely heated pool, perfect for relaxation. It’s also very family-friendly, with a kids’ club where our children had a fantastic time. I would definitely stay here again!

Service at the pool was a bit slow—you really had to make an effort to get someone’s attention. The food by the pool was okay, nothing special but decent. There was also an Asian restaurant at the hotel that served sushi, but unfortunately, it was really not good—just bad sushi, to be honest. Of course, you can simply choose not to eat there, but it was definitely below standard. The hotel itself is quite large, which might not be to everyone’s taste. Personally, I didn’t mind—it felt spacious and had a certain grandeur to it, which also has its charm. That being said, these are just areas for improvement and not a reason to avoid the hotel. I would still happily stay here again!

The warm outdoor pool, location , cleanliness . Always barter with the taxi drivers outside as the always double prices when they see you exiting Sofitel. We always tried to barter down to 50% of original fee asked for and in most cases were successful . On return journeys state you want to goto Novotel(it’s a stones throw away) not Sofitel so get half price fares .

Checking in ; had to wait over 2hrs for second room . The receptionist proceeded to tell me that check in time is after 2pm anyway or (4pm). Surely can make an exception for those with children

The staff, particularly the concierge and some of the door/bar/pool lounge staff were exceptional. The breakfast, and dinner buffet are the best I’ve ever seen or tasted. And the selection on offer insanely generous and diverse The bed was crazy comfy and the pool and drinks amazing. It’s also 10 minute drive from the airport and a 20 minute walk to the souks and medina

It’s very slow service by the pool, I think because half the staff is divided into tidying/clearing/helping and the other into being waiters you can order from - you find yourself waiting and looking round for someone for a very long time and even when you go up to catch someone - they want you to wait in your seat. But they were very busy and very kind all the same The less Moroccan style food on offer on the menu (like spaghetti or pizza or poke bowl) are pretty poor, but anything more traditional was amazing

Great facilities just a short cab ride from the main square at the centre of Marrakech. Providing good access yet a respite from the busy city As a solo traveler the Sofitel staff couldn’t have been more friendly and supportive. In particular Rida on concierge was a great help in general and sorted out a hot air balloon trip at short notice. Boujala was very responsive at the pool lounge, much appreciated!

Nothing really although the mini bar could have been topped up more regularly!

Amazing hotel , cleanliness and comfortable

We arrived at the hotel at 8 in the evening and our room was not available considering check in was at 3 in the afternoon . Was very disappointed as we had to wait a few hours . Hotel staff friendly but had to phone a few times to remind them about services we needed. Other than that an amazing hotel and we were upgraded to an amazing room.

Fantastic hotel, facilities, pool one of the best breakfast buffets I’d ever seen! For the most part, staff were helpful.

Two less then par experiences with staff. Having read all the reviews online and trip advisor, I was conscious this may been the case. For the most part at check in reception, concierge, doormen and breakfast staff were super friendly. However the pool staff weren’t helpful. We went to the pool three times during our stay, had to wave them over each time for towels, asked for umbrellas, which never came, and the worst was when we ordered food & drink and it didn’t arrive. After an hour of waiting we just left. We flagged during check out and the receptionist didn’t offer an apology. The check out receptionist wasn’t friendly or helpful either.

The hotel had a great location - even the rooms were very decent! They gave us a nice room with a balcony as my wife and I were celebrating our anniversary. They were kind enough to send us a cake to the room - which we both greatly appreciated!

If I had to point out one concern for the hotel - on the last day I was slightly disappointed by the staff outside who hailed us a taxi. Their mannerisms suggested that they were only looking for a tip from us as we departed. I told them we had to go to the train station to catch our train to Rabat. They didn't listen and thank God I asked the taxi driver midway as the journey seemed longer than usual. It turned out they had told him we were going to the airport, whereas, we had to go to the train station which was maybe at most 8-10 minutes ride from the property. Thank God we made it on time, literally two minutes before our train left. I feel their staff should pay more attention to what the guests are saying and not be lurking around for tips.

The staff were amazing. special mention to Shema at reception, she was a star. Food was very good and pool was lovely.

The view of the room was a pool but was slightly less private as it was on the same level as the pool so when siting on the balcony people public could see the balcony. We could not use the pool, it was only for diamond members but weren't informed about that.

Amazing design of hotel with gorgeous interiors. The rooms were slighly impracticle as they did not have desks you could work from, therefore that was a slight negative. The pool, gym and hammam facilities were first class.

The communication from concierge was frustrating as they did not respond to a request for an airport pick up and when they did, we had already arrived at the hotel. They were apologetic but you do not expect this detail to be missed when staying at a 5* hotel.

We have never been treated so well in any other hotel in the world! The staff is incredibly kind and friendly, the rooms are clean, and everything smells wonderful—even the hotel courtyard has a lovely fragrance! The staff kept bringing me tea and macarons nonstop! There is a taxi station right next to the hotel and many restaurants nearby. We will definitely come back here!
