The rooms were tastefully furnished. The room slippers were exceptionally nice. Comfortable bedding, clean bathrooms. Location was excellent, and we had a parking reserved. Good communication via email. They explained the self checkin quite well. It's easy if you have Internet on your mobile. For those who don't, might be tough.

Sad, cold breakfast not worth 17 euros. Store brought bread was cold, eggs not nice, very limited option. We had an incredible breakfast at our previous hotel in blackforesr for just 10 euros & that's why this felt especially disappointing in comparison. No kettle in the rooms.

Nice room, very clean, near the center of the city

We had some issues in receiving information regarding the keys (there were technical problems): I had to telephone the property myself (late check-in) on the day of our check-in to receive the required information; but is was solved before our arrival. The room was very hot (ground flour); but the property had foreseen 2 fans.

Good location(everything nearby)and very quiet. Rooms are quite spacious. Have a mini fridge :)

Even though there is an elevator, the front door has stairs, so it was a bit of a surprise as we booked this hotel because we thought it's easy to access with a stroller. Managed, but still... The water comes too hot, nearly burned myself. Be careful when you have children opening tap by themselves!!!

Amazing breakfast, great choices, everything you would expect and more! The quality of the hot food , fruit and continental breakfast was excellent. The chef was constantly checking what needed replenishing. Receptionists very professional and communicated well.lift

Lift was out of order, could have brought in a concierge.

The location of the hotel is perfect if you came for the old town. Everything is accessible on foot within walking distance. The external sound isolation is excellent, the internal one not so much. I would especially emphasize the exceptional clean! And a very, very kind maid, unfortunately, I don't know her name, but on 21.05. she worked in the morning hours. Also, the rooms are spacious as is the bathroom.

There was no breakfast, nor daily cleaning, allegedly because of the corona. Also, new towels are needed.

Staff was really friendly. Breakfast was really good with fresh berries, and the room was clean. Great location!

Because of the hot weather the room was a bit hot, fortunately there are big windows to open up. The bed was comfy but the wooden part creaked a bit

The room was pleasant and clean. very modern decor and windows which can be opened.

The property won't reply to any queries until the last few minutes before check in (despite no one being at the property on arrival) and no early check in possible, not even one minute before 15.00 ! Parking is offered at 15 euro per night, basically on the street or round the corner from the property (subject to availability), but there is a proper underground parking just a few meters away at 12 euro a night.

location

The front clerk staff was arrogant and sarcastic. we arrived and thought door was locked another traveler also thought the same thing. Rang the doorbell with no answer called no answer. our dumb butts didn’t know to pull the door instead of pushing it open. walked 25 feet to the desk and there’s the clerk. I asked if he didn’t hear the doorbell we thought it was locked his answer was you pull it open. didn’t mention the bell and I left it alone. not going to argue with staff

October 2021

We booked this hotel for a week-long stay at the last moment after BS Apartments decided to cancel our year-old booking 2 days before arrival, without reason. So it was one of the few hotels in our price range available. I think we got the smallest room as most of the other I saw seemed a bit larger. Other than the size, it was a fine place to say. I read reviews about the noise, but we found it to be pretty quiet all the time. The communal spaces were very nicely decorated. The room itself was very clean and the bedding and towels looked quite new. There was a roof terrace which was nice to sit out on in the mornings. There were a couple of parking spaces and we were able to get one and left the car there for the week. The location is excellent, a stone’s throw from the historic part of Heidelberg, so we walked everywhere anyway. However, there was a car park 50 yards away. There were no staff in the hotel at any time as a Covid precaution, so no reception or food available – not ideal but we knew that when we booked. And the wi-fi didn’t work but they gave us a discount retrospectively, so fair enough.

The terrace could have been lovely but was tired and felt more like a smoker’s corner: it must have been overlooked during the last refit. Oh and a coffee machine would have been nice.
