Family run lodge, very friendly staff, central location on the Muckross Road, 5 minutes walk to killarney center and to all the sight seeing attractions very convient. Bike hire only a stone throw away..Muckross road has heavy traffic and if the bedroom window is open you hear it but when closed it doesn't disturb that much. A little lounge offers a night cap after a walking day and it's served by the staff.. The airport is 20 minutes drive away serviced by bus and also amazing taxi drivers. (If travelling with luggage do yourself a treat and it's worth the €35/€40 ...if sharing then devided amount you it's not that expensive)

Lovely property, ideal location, wonderful staff and a great breakfast - everything we needed during the trip. I was even able to get some laundry service during our stay, and they are so prompt. My husband and I especially enjoyed the private bar for residents which made it a very cozy & relaxing way to unwind at the end of the day.

Maybe getting water bottles in the room would have been helpful. But we picked up a couple from the gas station right across the street, and were well sorted.

Very friendly, professional and helpful owners and staff at check-in and with information and recommendations throughout our stay. Very clean and large room. Excellent breakfast every day too provided by a very friendly group of waitresses. Only a 10-12 minutes easy and direct walk into the town centre with a huge number of places to eat and drink. A perfect base to explore the lakes and mountains, the Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsula.

Nothing springs to mind. Everything went very smoothly during our stay and we had no complaints at all (apart from the excessive rain on one day!)

Location is within 10 minute-walking distance to the town and restaurants which means we had to compromise on the view. Front desk and Dining room staff are really helpful and accommodating. Rachel even surprised me with a birthday cake.

There was no walk in shower in our spacious family room which proved to be a struggle for my daughter who has mobility issue. When she mentioned it to Niall and Maureen, they were very accommodating and were more than happy to move us to a slightly smaller room but has the facility we need. Breakfast selection is slightly limited but the staff are always helpful.

Breakfast was quite nice - a wide variety of offerings. The quality and friendliness of the wait staff was exceptional. The location for us was perfect. You could walk easily into town center but it was quiet at the hotel. Very nice to have a lounge space in the Inn

When we arrived in our room, the bathroom had not been adequately cleaned ( the exception, the rest of the room and the whole inn was spotless. The wood news is that they responded immediately and rectified the matter in short order. This seems to be Avery well run place.

This property is a hidden gem. I felt like I was in a beautiful B&B. There was a living room, furnished with comfortable couches and chairs, that was the bar. We sat there several nights to enjoy the surroundings and have a cocktail. The staff was so nice and helpful! I can’t say enough about them. The rooms were very large and comfortable. The breakfast was outstanding and the wait staff made the beginning of your day fun. This was an exceptional place to stay.

The property is about a mile from town, however there are horse & carriage taxis or other means of transport. We chose to walk. If you are someone who does not like to walk, you will need to find transportation.

Everything! Would really struggle to find fault. Extremely comfortable hotel, spacious, very clean, decorated and maintained to a high standard, warm welcome, SUPERB breakfast... We had a family room (double and 2 singles) for us and our two teens who are both over 6ft. It was more than big enough for us. Bathroom was very well equipped. Hotel very close to the centre of town but not too close! Our first visit to Killarney and it far exceeded our expectations, as did the hotel.

Honestly can't think of anything. Except phots don't do the place justice, need some professional shots!

Good location, spacious rooms, clean rooms, extremely nice breakfast staff. Good shower in a bathtub but lacking a hand held shower. Not really a hotel as there only is breakfast and no other facilities besides wifi.

The double bed to us, was a little small (but okay). Staff at front desk was really selling tours from what they called "their own company". As we had a not too good experience due to the weather and a tour not being cancelled although that should have happend, "nobody was home".

We had a wonderful stay at Old Weir Lodge. The thing that stood out the most to me was the staff, who were incredibly warm and welcoming toward us, and were keen to give recommendations. The breakfast was lovely, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the location is great - it's very close to the National Park and to restaurants, shops, etc.

I have nothing negative to say. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We liked how spacious, clean and comfortable the room was. The entire building was very well maintained and pleasant to be inside. The location is 12min by foot from the very centre of Killarney which was also lovely.

The breakfast was a little limited and basic in our opinion as a group. The buffet was quite limited compared to other places I've stayed in and the cooked breakfast was a little bland too. No alternative milks in sight, so generally very traditional Irish breakfast I suppose. We did appreciate the cooked breakfast option though.
