Very clean room which was nice. I really found it easy to check in and out online which was great. Very comfortable beds and the staff were friendly to deal with and very helpful booking a taxi for us!

We booked a room for four people and only two cups and glasses were provided. I thought that was a bit strange. Also even though the location was good we had to pay 12€ for parking as a guest in the hotel. My friends commented after they found that this was very poor hospitality and one said they are “taking advantage.” So this may be something to consider.

it was close to the venue i was going to. Great idea having a bar on the lawn for concert night

The staff member checking us in didn’t tell us anything about breakfast or if we wanted to add it, if we wanted to dine in the hotel that night, or where anything was. She also didn’t tell us our parking ticket had to be validated at reception before checkout. In fact the only thing she did say was the price of our room. Not a friendly 1st impression. Then while waiting on the lift to go to our room, with other guests, a staff member walked in front of all the guests and jumped straight into the lift, even though there was a queue of people waiting

When we arrived they changed out room due to the fact it was next to an elevator that was under maintenance, the weather was stunning so we stayed out in the beautiful gardens and they brought us complimentary drinks to apologise for the delay with the room. The gesture was wonderful and more than we had expected considering they were moving us to prevent noise from the elevator maintenance. The location was beautiful, the hotel itself is beautiful, clean and comfortable, the staff were extremely nice to deal with, the car park was also a reasonable price at €12 a day. Breakfast was wonderful, they brought a chair for our infant son off their own backs, the staff really did think on their initiative. Amazing experience and worth every penny. Will definitely go back again

Convenient location, I walked to the centre of Dublin to go sightseeing. Room had all I could expect and was modern and well spec'd and had a decent view. My room did have a mini fridge, some reviews said they didn't have one. Car park was convenient for me.

Parking was a bit pricey €12 per night and they couldn't guarantee a space. Breakfast was expensive €18 so I went somewhere cheaper in town. I found my towels had been folded, and bed sheets tucked in but I didn't get tea bags replenished, but luckily I brought my own. It wasn't made clear if the water in the fridge was free. The Sky box had no audio but normal TV was working. My room cards didn't work after I got in from a pub tour late at night and I had to get new ones. I prefer a sprung mattress but they have foam mattresses and I find I sweat buckets on a foam one. The door frame in the bathroom had paint peeling off due to water spray from the shower.

This was the perfect location for our last night in Ireland. Fantastic full-service hotel with a lot of character. It has modern, decor combined tastefully with an historic building. It is spacious and offers all the relaxing and gathering spaces you would expect from a resort that caters to bus tour groups, weddings, and meeting spaces. The car park is tricky if you have a large car, but take it slow and you will be fine. Exiting the car park is easier than entering. It was 20 euros to take a taxi to Temple Bar so we could leave our car at the hotel for a visit to Temple Bar. The breakfast area was large and well-designed.

Location to Dublin city and all major attractions was fabulous, with a bus stop right outside the door. Easy walk to local pubs and restaurants as well. Our king size room was very generous.

No air conditioning in our room and the weather was unseasonably warm for Dublin (so we were told) at night. We also had no top sheet on our bed, which necessitated taking out the thick duvet from inside the duvet cover, because it was too warm otherwise. It might sound petty, but for the money paid, visitors don't expect to have to remove duvets, to sleep comfortably without being too hot. We were able to open a window at night.

The customer service at this The Clayton hotel was outstanding. Our request for an accessible room for our parents was honoured. The Grandstand Restaurant/Bar served great food (especially pizza!). The Breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of hot and cold foods. A staff member said she loved working at the Clayton and the company treated them very well. A great advert for the company and nice to know as a customer. Spacious rooms, clean and a relaxing stay. We would highly recommend and would stay here again. Sandymont Station is a 10min walk.

Distance to Dublin City centre further than stated. Average taxi fare 20 euros.

Location for RDS was excellent. Bus service very close by for access to city centre. Staff were v helpful at reception. Room was comfortable and acceptable.

We paid over One thousand for 3 nights accommodation. The room was well appointed but lacked a few essentials that would have made the experience more bang for our buck. Sockets or USB's on bedside lockers are essential at this stage and also a couple more stations on the TV... We've been staying here for the last 20 years and have not seen any difference in the rooms. Obviously the location is wonderful and the grounds are lovely, so it is not a gamechanger but small improvements could make a big difference

The location was very good , close to good quality restaurants and in close proximity to bus stops. The front desk staff were efficient and met my special requests, the restaurant staff were efficient and a good choice was available for the breakfast. The Clayton Ballsbridge is located in a safe area of Dublin so I would recommend a stay there.

The pillows were uncomfortable and could have been better. Also one lift was out of use which created queues for the lift, which was no fault of hotel as the other lift is being serviced.

Location very good, a beautiful historic building and the refurbished areas are lovely. Service in reception, bar and restaurant were excellent.

Disappointed that when I had already got my fry I then had to order a fried egg. No face cloths or shower caps in our room.
