Nice staff, beautiful gym and sauna

The restaurants downstairs were both beautiful, but both the service and food were a bit underwhelming at times. (Not at all bad, just not quite up to what I'd expected given the rest of the hotel.) The regular rooms are very small. They were comfortable for me as a solo traveller who was mostly out during the day, but if I were travelling with another person on trying to work from the room, it would have been a problem. There's no chair at all, and nothing but a tiny sliver of floor space for unpacking a suitcase.

Location and hotel was great—the staff were extremely helpful, friendly and accommodating. Ceci at the front desk was specifically was welcoming and took the time to give recommendations as it was our first time in Dublin. The bar and restaurants were also great and the bed was super comfortable.

The sound in the rooms was pretty bad. We stayed on the 3rd floor and then the 5th. Unfortunately, due to the architect using continuous metal framed windows, sound travels easily from the rooftop restaurant into your room through the frame. We’ve seen (and heard) this a lot in cheap builds in NYC. We heard the base booming and full-on conversations of what people were ordering. Luckily there’s a Bluetooth speaker so white noise did the trick for us to drown that out and fall asleep. We also had a rowdy neighbor another evening but the staff took care of it immediately.

Exceptionally helpful staff. Nothing was too much trouble. The location was excellent.

The menu was fairly limited although the food was good. The biggest issue was the size of the room which should be made very clear. The double room was too small for myself and my daughter. The bed pushed against the window meant that it was difficult to get out of bed without clambering over one another and also made it hard to draw the curtains. There was no storage except for a few hangers and there was no drawer storage. There was no room for a table, so that room service was not an option. The hotel was expensive and did not reflect the room size.

The staff at the hotel were very helpful, knowledgeable about the City and pleasant in general. The hotel also had excellent facilities, with personal highlights being the gym, pool and thermal circuit, which exceeded all expectations for a hotel. We had breakfast at the rooftop restaurant and the food and service were excellent. We also had a few drinks in the hotel bar, where the staff were excellent and the atmosphere was much better than most hotel bars.

The room was very clean and clearly had a lot of attention to detail. The bathroom was lovely. However, it was very small. We were only staying for 1 night and didn't have a lot of luggage so this was not a huge issue. But for a longer stay, a room upgrade would probably be necessary. The 'city view' was also just a view of a constriction site which we didn't notice till the morning because it was dark when we checked in.

The location was perfect for a gig at the 3arena, I was lucky enough to get a last minute reservation for a reasonable price for a concert night. Our room was upgraded without notice which was a nice surprise to walk into. Our dinner in elephant and castle was delicious, as was our brunch in Ryleighs. We availed of the pool and sauna area the morning after our stay and it was so relaxing with gorgeous changing rooms. Our bed was the comfiest I have slept on that is not my own & the room came with cool utilities such as dyson hairdryers and a smeg mini fridge. The room felt cosy with good lighting. Even when you walk into the hotel there is a lovely coffee shop at the front which is a nice extra, saves leaving the hotel to find good coffee. The aesthetic of the hotel perfectly suited me and I can't wait to stay again on another gig night!

Cannot fault this hotel, I am excited to stay again!

Rooms are small but it's perfect for a short stay. Also the pillows and bed were so comfortable. Genuinely the best out of all the hotels I've stayed in. Staff were amazing on check-in and they knew we were in a rush to get to a dinner reservation so when we requested an iron it was at our room within 2 mins of us requesting it. Would definitely stay here again. We parked at the euro carpark at the convention centre for €30 for 24hrs. It's only a couple mins walk from the hotel. Ideal hotel for shows at 3arena, Aviva, Bord Gais and Croke Park. It was very quiet inside the hotel. Liked that there was security on the door at night to make sure people who weren't guests weren't getting in.

The breakfast was stunning. Really fresh and hot and the plate was full. The Bottle Boy pub adjacent to the hotel is a great addition. Really welcoming and cosy, and a great pint of Guiness ! The location is amazing, overlooking the River Liffey and close to the City Centre, Temple and the Aviva Stadium. The suite we stayed in, Sam's Suite, was lovely and the rooms were a great size with a well stocked bar plus sweets and treats and a fabulous copper bath with the best view.

The bathroom floor could have done with a good mop. Unfortunately on our last night the residents next door were having a party (so loud we assumed there was a function on the rooftop terrace, we were two floors below that. That was how loud it ws next door!! The staff had to almost be bribed to come upstairs and sort it out !

Great location and over looking the river Liffey. A tram station is directly behind the hotel to take you to anywhere in Dublin and it isn’t far from a stop for the Dublin Express to and from the airport. it is very modern and clean. The decor was lovely and we loved the spa. The restaurant was also great and priced well we ate breakfast everyday and had an evening meal there.

There was only one thing that we didn’t really like and that was on arrival we were asked to pay 200 euros deposit on the room and that it would get refunded on checkout. Luckily we had enough on our card to do this and it didn’t come out of our holiday spending money but for a family or couple that only had their spending money available this would cause problems, especially since Dublin is super expensive as it is. If we had known this before we arrived or booked we wouldn’t of minded it was just a bit of a shock but went back in our account a few days later.

The decor is gorgeous. Very modern and edgy. The location was good (no parking though), and the rooftop restaurant was beautiful with great cocktails. They have a cool cafe area in the lobby which I also appreciated. And the front of house staff and the rooftop staff restaurant were excellent.

The steaks were overdone at the rooftop bar - but service was great. The complimentary items listed on our minibar/condiment sheet were not in our room. There was no late night room service which was annoying. I have been to many 4 star hotels that offer a basic snack menu after restaurant hours. We went to the bar at 10.30pm for a night cap and we were moved out to the lobby of the hotel because they clearly wanted to close up. After just receiving our drinks they turned the light's brightness up as if to encourage us to leave ...which we did. The room was very small - literally a bathroom and bed with a tiny bed side locker/tea coffee stations - which was a little disappointing.

Super kool hotel excellent location Super views from the room 102 overlooking the Liffey..Super kool interior design art is amazing swimming pool excellent smoking terrace divine barbers shop unique

For consideration: rooms should have mirrors with appropriate lights for ladies to apply make up before going out and bathrooms should have hooks for clothes taken off before showering. Lastly kitchen was closed after the Rod Stewart concert when arriving back which was disappointing given it's excellence overall. I ordered pizza from a nearby merchant on Friday night and my card got compromised on Saturday and is now frozen with €134.50 in unauthorised transactions Realistically the Mayson given it's excellence should have 24 hour room service also given I paid €284 for a room for the Friday night plus bar add ons etc.
