Hotel was lovely. We went for our 1st wedding anniversary and when we arrived, they put is in an executive room. When we arrived in the room, there was a beautiful card, from the hotel wishing us happy anniversary and a box of chocolates. Brilliant touch from the hotel. The room was lovely, plenty by way of toiletries in the bathroom. We booked dinner in advance and the staff in the restaurant were lovely, helpful and chatty. Dinner was delicious. We weren't in the hotel long, as we were heading to the a game in the Aviva. Bed was comfortable too. We will definitely be back for a another longer stay and would recommend to anyone heading up to the Aviva.

Location couldn’t get any better if you are attending a event at aviva stadium. Rooms seemed to be newly refurbished very clean & modern. Lots of seating in lobby & bar. For such a bizy location hotel was quite

Food menu on website was different to the menu in the bar/restaurant needs to be updated.!! Staff in restaurant were very friendly but at times service was very slow, we waited 20mins for ice cream for my son while other tables that ordered after us had received there’s.!! Mattress were quite firm but as with any hotel that’s down to your own preference of mattress so not a fault as such.!!

From arrival to checking out, everything was 1st class all the way . Staff were excellent, and the room was impressive with all that you needed . We slept well it was like being in our bed at home ( must be Hypnos mattress ). We also had room service from the restaurant as we were too tired to eat at the restaurant and the food was excellent . I would highly recommend Sandymount to all my friends, and I'm looking forward to staying there again. Thank you for a night to remember

I wouldn't say I didn't like it, but the hotel alarm went off twice . The second time was at 6 am, which obviously woke the both of us . I would like to know why this was happening, so please let me know . It didn't spoil my stay. I would still stay here

The property was well kept and staff was nice. We were unaware that a rugby final championship was going on at the stadium down the road and this hotel hosts related events resulting in a very noisy lobby and outside patio. However, no noise was heard from our room. There was also minimal noise heard from surrounding rooms and hallways. There is a small village about a 10 min walk away that has a grocery store, restaurants and a corner store, this came in handy for us as we were farther outside of Dublin than we realized.

As mentioned above, there was a lot of activity in the lobby and on the patio for a championship rugby game down the road. This resulted in a crowded lobby and bar with not necessarily the most polite guests.

We stayed for 1 night as we were attending the Bruce Springsteen Concert in the RDS. It was a 10-12 minute walk from the RDS which was perfect. In the afternoon we took a stroll down by the river just adjacent to the hotel and was a lovely quite area. The aviva is so close by so a great hotel if attending an event there. The room was clean and modern and was perfect for 3 people we had a double and single bed. The reception staff were very friendly on check in and booked a taxi for us on checkout. Breakfast was very tasty a nice selection of Hot and Cold food available and the Hot food selection was actually HOT appose to warm. On return back from the concert bowels of chips, sausages and goujons were handed out which was just a lovely touch.

The stay was great and I dont want to complain but I would like to mention that the bar was very slow with a long que for drinks. There seemed to be plenty of bar staff on but perhaps lack of experience. Im sure with more training and time this can be improved.

It was ideal for the Bruce Springsteen concert which we were attending in the RDS. All staff were most pleasant, welcoming and helpful in every way. We stayed as a group of three adults in one room. We had one night bed & breakfast at the cost of €429.00 which was quite expensive really. It appeared that prices all over Dublin had been hiked considerably during those dates. A very pleasant gesture was the bowls of sausages and chips which were handed out to guests on their return from the concert.

Our room was situated at the far end of the building and it was quite a long walk to our room through corridors. The thing I liked least was the unpleasant smell in the corridor. Thankfully it wasn’t in our room, just in the corridor.

We always love staying at this hotel. It has a lovely welcoming atmosphere and its location is perfect for attending events at the RDS and the Aviva or one of the many fab restaurants within walking distance.

This is a negative that turned to a positive: Many staying at the hotel were attending the Bruce Springsteen gig at the RDS. After the concert, there was a huge delay in getting served at the hotel bar. There were just two bar staff on who were very slow. I think the demand should have been anticipated and adequate staffing put in place. However, I have to commend the hotel on laying on complimentary chips and sausages in the bar which was a very nice touch and very much appreciated. This gesture is not something you would get in many hotels in Dublin, so well done Sandymount Hotel. You may not have got the staffing right for the night that was in it but you did your best to make it up to your guests.

My room was very clean, housekeeping cleaned the room every day. The free wifi worked most of the time without any problems. The smart tv on the room was quite nice, it has all the tv streaming apps inside. Location was close to bus and dart stations with a short walking distance. It was a nice neighbourhood.

Breakfast was always the same, it would be nice to have a couple of new options. The heating system was turned down during nights, but it was fully functional during daytime. The TV was logged in to Netflix with a previous visitors account. It is worth to check and sign-off previous accounts from the Smart TVs regularly.

Excellent from our arrival to departures. Such friendly and most helpful team. Beautiful appointed bedrooms. Fantastic food selection wines. Huge portions. 5 minutes from Aviva. Room 310. Nice and quiet. Plenty toiletries. Tea's, coffees, biscuits. 5 minutes to Aviva Stadium. Fantastic well run upscale hotel. With an amazing team. Cannot wait to return. Also highly recommend. Dart Station nearby very handy to commute to and from games and to explore Dublin.

The location is excellent for walking to the start of the Dublin Marathon. I also did the Parkrun in Poolbeg on Saturday morning, which was a short walk away. I had a few lovely meals in the Hotel during my stay. The staff were very helpful in that they arranged to dry my runners overnight, before the marathon start on Sunday morning.

The price. I stayed for 3 nights, room only rate without breakfast, on my own. I think the price I paid was excessive, and I have not entered the Dublin marathon for 2023. I hope to do one abroad this year.
