Excellent location - Delicious Buffet breakfast with very good selection. Old world style hotel with impressive reception area - hinting at the grandeur of the old Gresham- Art Deco. Room & bathroom quite old fashioned but spotlessly clean. Excellent shower ( although over bath which we didn’t mind) Staff friendly & attentive. Special mention to John in concierge .Had dinner 2nd evening in Toddy’s- lovely meal- so well attended to by the brilliant Colm!

As 4 star hotel we would have expected bottled water in room. Also no plugs beside beds to charge phones… please take that issue on board to correct..moving forward that would certainly discourage younger people returning!

It’s lovely old style and it’s location at the heart of the Irish battle for independence, the spacious room and the daily supply of filtered water.

The noise from the streets at night and the intransigence and abruptness of some of the staff. It is now owned by a Spanish company and some of the Spanish staff don’t have the necessary charm and customer focus. One example - we booked the Gresham because when we were there 5 years ago you could have Irish whiskey in your porridge -yum. They no longer provide this and the person in charge asserted that the hotel had ever had that. An Irish staff member overheard our conversation and tried to help but to no avail. A simple thing but enough to put us off.

The building is lovely outside & in the foyer the restaurant & breakfast room was excellent

The noise in the corridors is terrible !!!! They have no carpet but hard unsightly flooring I have never seen such a terrible floor in a hotel especially a 4 star !!! It’s in the bedrooms as well it’s terrible we had no sleep on the first night as people were drunk in corridor & the sofa by lifts were misused so they had to clean the cushions on sofa which the guests had misused while drunk I would not recommend the rooms with this floor as it’s so noisy !! Such a shame as food & breakfast in restaurants is excellent as was the waitress Alison she was brilliant overall don’t go in those rooms with no carpet !!!

Tue Hotel was absolutely stunning - very luxurious. We were only in Dublin for the night and this hotel was an ideal location for everything we wanted to do. The room was amazing and great value. I would assume if we paid a little more we could have had amazing views up O Connell Street. The reason all scores were not 10 was because of 2 reasons.... There were three of us sharing and only 2 cups and I toilet roll. We had to ask twice for these to be provided. There was also a bit of a walk to the room, which was OK for us, but maybe not for someone who struggles walking.

The food was lovely, plenty of choice and re-stocked constantly. The location of the hotel was perfect, on the main street ( O'Connell St ) with hop on buses right outside. Our room was great, 2 double beds and a double sofa bed, new and very modern, plenty of space, the corridor was quiet.

2 things let it down for us, the air conditioning was a little hit and miss and with only a patio door that opened 4 inches, the room was stuffy at times, but we requested a fan and reception sorted this for us. We had a superior room but had a view of a brick wall !!!! I appreciate they build down in Ireland instead of up, but even a mural on the outside wall of a tree or city scene would have been better than plain brick work.

The property was beautiful, historic building with lots going on. Our room was freshly renovated and very large. The room was clean and very comfortable. The food in the bar and restaurant was delicious as well as the breakfast provided each morning. The staff was lovely, all very happy to serve you and did it with a smile.

Well. We had to take 2 different elevators to get our floor. It was definitely confusing, not to mention, the hotel was under construction so we had to go through a construction area to get to our room. Although our room was very nicely renovated, we had issues multiple times with our door not closing all the way when we left. We’d come back and find that our room had been open the whole time we were gone. Once we realized this, we started to double check the door once we left and all was good. Also, no carpet…which was nice but definitely found it made the hotel loud.

The location was great, walkable to many sights.

We were put in a room on the sixth floor, the elevator only goes to 5, then a flight of stairs. I asked for a room with a view and got the view of a parking garage. On our second day there were roof repairs occurring with jack hammering just above us. When we called the front desk they were very quick to address the situation, they offered us a different room, moved our bags for us and offered us a bottle of wine and chocolate for our trouble. I just wish they would have put us i the second room for both nights. It was newer, nicer and no stair climbing involved.

The breakfast was great and variety of choices and the room is spacious. The staffs were so friendly and they were so helpful especially the front desk manage (i think he is) - UROS, he was so friendly and helpful and even offered to take beautiful photos for us since we were leaving in the very early morning. He even reminded us to be on time at the bus stop for the bus as it was christmas season and it was hard to get a cab if we missed it. He even asked his colleague to carry our heavy bags to the opposite bus stop. That's really helped us alot as we had 4 luggage with us. Not to forget to mention the staff in restaurant. One of them (sorry i forgot the name) She was so helpful and gave us help in getting our meals as it was christmas day as all the shops outside closed. Staffs here really impressed us with their service.

We had requested a quiet room however our room was just outside the ice making machine and it was so noisy especially in the mid night as so many people took ice outside our room and it was noisy.

The hotel has a great location. Very central close to shops, restaurants, public transport, taxi. Staff was very friendly and polite especially people at the restaurant during breakfast and men by the entrance. I didn’t find reception staff professional and friendly. I had feeling they were annoying with me for asking questions. Room was specious, bed comfortable. Nice touch - two different pillows.

It is quite a big busy hotel. I could hear people walking all night on the corridor in front of my room. Once (I assumed probably drunk person) was trying to get into our room by mistake. I would prefer to have bottle of water in the room (not a fan of tap water hotel suggested to drink). Bathroom had leaking shower so everyday the floor was flooded. Breakfast was absolutely boring - everyday the same. View from the hotel room was awful. Back of the others buildings, bins etc. The room was cold, even after changing settings of AC.
