The staff were excellent they really made our stay comfortable and brought up the level in this hotel.

The Pool area is extremely dated and more like a public pool than a 4 star hotel. The changing rooms need TLC. the steam room and sauna are in the changing rooms with most of the showers communal. This isn’t ideal. The pool is used mainly for locals and swimming lessons so not in-line with a hotel break to relax. We forgot to book the restaurant for our stay so when we tried to book a meal for the evening and lunch we were told it was booked out. The restaurant looked half empty but we still couldn’t be squeezed in. i understand staff etc but we spent almost €900 for 2 nights so we were disappointed that there were no spaces for lunch or dinner.

Beautiful hotel and sorroundings. Nice location close to Kildare town and shopping. Near the motorway but rural. Lovely function room and the suites are great. The restaurant food was very nice. The staff and reception were v helpful. Car parking was good. Function room bar service was quick and attentive. Dyson hairdryer in room. Toiletries great quality. Beds comfy, suite large and luxurious.

The bar food options were OK, not brilliant. The hotel main bar was a little understaffed, as a big event was being hosted in the function room. So when people were ordering cocktails etc the service was a little slow.

Had a great time. From entering the hotel to leaving everything was fantastic. We had a lovely chap checking us in very pleasant and chatted away to us as he worked. Staff were so nice. We'll be back

Only down thing was on entering the room the plain white covers were a little bland bit of colour would have been nice. Also there was only just a bit of toilet paper in the bathroom n no other rolls so had to phone down for some but were wondering then if it had been cleaned properly when there wasn't a new roll there but it seemed ok

We had Dinner in the Bar and it was fab . Service was excellent and the food so tasty . We had breakfast the following morning in the restaurant and it was delicious so fresh had a buffet and hot food was cooked to order . Lady on reception was so nice at check in (Siobhan) we had just gotten engaged and our room was upgraded this was so nice and we really appreciated it . Young girl on reception the following morning and she was lovely (didn't get a name) Over all our experience was excellent it was our 1st time but certainly wont be out last.

The last night of a long road trip, and it was definitely a case of keeping the best to last, which was fortuitous, as it was also a birthday. The pre-ordered prosecco was waiting, chilled, in a large spacious and well-appointed room. We chose to eat in the bar, and both service and food were excellent, as was the case with breakfast. It has all the trappings of a good resort hotel: spa, gym, golf course, etc., as well as capacious function rooms, so I guess it's busy with functions a lot of the time. It's a hop and a skip from Dublin, and Kildare is even closer. if I were still in business it would be on my list of possible conference venues.

Breakfast was fab , 3 mornings Service at bar, Spa , reception, breakfast was great Staff attentive and responsive Bed dressed am when we went to breakfast Room and temperature in hotel seemed a bit too warm

Tea pot only had 1 tea bag day 1 , I asked for 2 from day 2 as I like strong tea We had to ask for additional toilet paper It would be easier to supply extra Last day - face cloths not replaced and could have done with replacement towels for those removed, didn’t ask for this as it was last day/ night .

One of the best 4 star properties in Ireland. Rooms are exceptional. We went for a family suite and it was HUGE! Views were amazing and in room facilities were top notch. Breakfast was spot on and the staff in the dining area was friendly. We also had dinner in the restaurant and that was satisfactory as well. Spa and pool area was again very good. Spent a lot of time there with the little one!

Perhaps if the room price could be a little cheaper (but this is just a nice to have). The place is really really good.

Nice welcome by Petra. She's really the only member of staff that we dealt with. Oh and the Spa ladies were nice too. Breakfast staff didn't really engage, just went through the motions but we were tired and didn't care much.Lovely pool and jacuzzi , clean areas everywhere, nice grounds well maintained, extra comfy bed, powerful shower and thick towels.

It's only 2 details but the little fridge in our room didn't work also the salmon and scrambled eggs that I had for breakfast were way too salty. No big deal it's a nice very classy place and we would recommend for a romantic or family treat.

Found it overly busy hard to get a table for dinner!! and when we did ‘!we were only allowed have it for one hour ? We had to sit up stairs for drinks also a cup of tea with no biscuit because the kitchen was closed was not acceptable as a biscuit isn’t too hard for a hotel to have when guests calls in to see you after a journey I had to go to the bedroom to get them one. Also it would be great if there was a vending machine like other hotels

The Food is exceptional. Irish produce at its best 👌. Loved our dinners and breakfasts. Beautifully presented and tastes amazing ! Our server Aoife was fantastic. She went back to the chef and identified Samphire for me, as i had not come across it before. At breakfast i particularly loved the quality of the eggs. Top Class. Love the Lobby and the reading room.Staff were very professional and friendly. The bed was terrific, so comfy....
