.Room was perfect, very clean and more than big enough for a few nights stay. Breakfasts were very tasty and just right to start the day off well. We also ate there on 2 of the evenings we stayed and the food was exceptional. Praise to the kitchen staff, who seemed to work all hours. Hospitality was among the best we've experienced. Welcomed from the moment we arrived and any requests for something not immediately obvious to us was met with a smile and provided. We were visiting to attend a family wedding and without asking we were offered a lift to the venue and the booked taxi was cancelled. Never experienced hospitality like this and cannot thank the proprietor enough. Would highly recommend this venue for anyone visiting the area. Finally would like to thank all the hard working staff, who seemed to be always at work, even when not officially working.
Well we were in Ireland and the weather did spoil our plans for our 1 free day. Public transport not the best to get out and visit the area if you dont have your own transport. However, this turned into a positive, as we stayed at the packed pub, and had a great afternoon watching the football, followed by a lovely meal. A little noisy from the traffic outside during the day, but this did not detract from our overall view of the venue. As stated before, would highly recommend staying here

The bed was super comfortable and the room was clean. The bath was such a lovely addition too and water remains consistently warm/hot. Breakfast facilities continental style and had varied options such as cereal, porridge, fruit. It was also handy having a bar downstairs as you could just walk downstairs and grab a pint before heading to a nearby wedding venue.
There was a big TV in the communal part upstairs with no working remote. There were no staff to ask about the remote early in the morning. It would have been nice to sit on the communal area and watch TV for a bit rather than having to bring my breakfast inside the room.

The breakfast options offered were amazing. There’s something for everyone, it’s quick service with hot food. Staff check in with you and make sure you have everything you need, ensuring you always have a drink on the table. The staff also check if you’re okay, if you need anything etc. The room was spacious for the two of us, clean and comfortable. Shower was nice and warm, we stayed when it was -6 degrees and the heating kept it nice and toasty for us. Overall, an amazing stay and we will definitely be staying everytime we go and visit family in Athy.

Great location food in the bar was absolutely amazing and staff were always lovely and helpful
Our booking said breakfast included until we found out the Saturday morning there was no breakfast only a continental from Monday to Saturday and cooked breakfast on Sundays only. A bit disappointed we weren't informed of this at check in and wasn't stated when we first booked. I think we paid a bit much to not get the two days breakfast. Guests should be considered on the nights when the bar closes and staff are cleaning up had music playing for a good hour or so after 12am and rooms are right above the bar so do not book if u want an early night Other than this would book again overall

This place is a hidden gem. From the moment we arrived we were made feel so welcome. The room was spotless and very clean. We were there for New Year's Eve. We ate in the restaurant and the food was beautiful. The owners are so nice. The staff are great, very friendly and hard working and nothing is a problem with them. The live music was brilliant and the atmosphere for midnight was great. Enjoy your staff trip to Liverpool lads. We'll be back.

It's always a neat experience to stay above a bar in a small Irish town--loads of charm, and quite a comfortable place. I'd come in by foot on the Barrow Way and it was a great place to just relax for a night before heading on.
The bar noise didn't bother me, but the incessant street noise made it really difficult to sleep; there was no fan and the night was quite warm, so an opened window to the street was the only option.

I have never felt so comfortable and welcome in a B&B. From start to finish , I couldn't find fault if I tried!! From immaculate bedrooms, amazing food and a fantastic atmosphere. A Special mention to the lovely Emma, who went above and beyond to make sure our girls trip away was perfect. You were amazing. We will definitely be back.

This golden yellow INN in the little town of Athy was a ray of sunshine. The owners Dan and Edwina were so hospital, personable, and generous, as was all their staff. They helped with cabs, directions and were quite informative. Every morning they cooked a huge breakfast for whatever you wanted.
The room and bathroom was spacious and clean and up to date. The only thing missing in the bathroom was anti slip mat for the shower.

The young women we dealt with would be superior representatives for a company or chamber of commerce. Free parking at the facility.
The entrance to the room is through the door used by the kitchen staff for removal of trash, scraps, grease, etc. Location not very convenient to other areas.
