I had an early arrival, and they allowed me my room key without any hassle, thankfully as I was very tired. My expectations were low based on the price, but it was so much better than I hoped, nice breakfast and service and a lovely sea view with a nice sound of waves to help me sleep.
Having to use a toilet in the hallway, but luckily the hotel wasn't very busy and never had a issue in finding the toilet free to use, but one toilets flush was damaged. Also my curtains didn't fully block out the light, but I was far enough away from the window to not really have trouble sleeping, as I'm sensitive to light at night when trying to sleep.

Good location, the room was simple but clean and it had a balcony and a beautiful view over the promenade and the sea. A cooked breakfast was included. I really enjoyed my stay. Excellent value for money.
When I arrived, there seemed to be some confusion about my booking. The person who was there couldn’t find my booking so I was told to wait for a receptionist to come. I ended up waiting more than a half an hour. I was getting worried while I waited but eventually they got the key to my room. The staff apologised for the delay. Besides this confusion at the beginning, everything else was fine and the rest of my stay went smoothly.

Very good breakfast. Excellent sea view. Nice owners.
No bar - or it wasn't open. But only covid can be blamed for that. Broken iift and I was on the 4th floor. But after 2 nights was offered a much better room on first floor at no extra cost. So fair play and thank you very much indeed, D and D.

breakfast was amazing, nice chatty ladies who served us. this is the second time ive stopped.
I didnt get fresh towels in my room but as i was only staying for 3 nights it didnt bother me. My mates room says his tv didnt work and the lights wouldnt turn on. But again it didnt bother him. The lift would of been handy as i was on the top floor.those stairs were a battle. Coming back on a night out, there was kids outside the hotel and you could see them watching as you put the code in the door to get in.i thought that looks abit dodgey.

Nice comfortable room on the second floor. Good en-suite. Lovely view across the bay. Breakfast was good but limited with choice of cereals, orange juice and a full cooked breakfast. The bed was comfortable and warm.
It is an old building and a traditional seaside hotel with lots and lots of steep steps. You really do notice the steps after a few days. There is a lift which would reduce but not completely eliminate the number of steps, but it is currently out of service. Hotel still has the original single glazed Sash windows so there is some noise from outside.

Classic hotel. Very personable and friendly staff. Made one feel at home. Breakfast was eggs, toast, beans, cereal, tea/coffee, juice and individually served and cooked. Quite good. Hotel hasn't been refurbished in years, which gives it an old fashioned slow down type look. Room was expertly made up every day. I very much enjoyed my stay here.
No advance info on checking in and no signage on what to do when you arrive at a closed locked door. I rung what I thought was a bell three times several minutes apart but wasn't sure it did anything. Another guest arrived that had access and pointed me to a reception desk. A little while later with no further action from me an employee showed up. So I assume the front door buzzer worked, but don't know that. The bed was quite soft. It took a bit to figure out how the hot water for the shower worked

This Hotel is a friendly family run operation and there room charges are very keenly priced, it is old victorian style Property( amazing dinningroom) located on the promenade with fine views of the bay area . Bus service runs outside which will bring you to main bus terminal and ferry port. also a good location if you going to use the elecrtic tram to Ramsey. Would suit clients that are on a budget, or just want good value. In a very nice location.

I loved the attentions the hostess had toward us. She knew the table in which each client liked to sit and what preferences did each had (beans/no beans, egg, coffee/tea). One time she had my coffee prepared even before I arrived, it felt nice that she remembered all this things. And the view from my room was amazing.
