Great location near Souq Waqif and the metro. Good for a 3 star, imagine it was a 4 star originally. Room was big alhough weirdly had a microwave and full set of kitchen cupboards but no plates or cutlery. Maybe you can borrow from reception? If you arrive early (which your flight probably does) you can pay 100 QAR for early check in, not an extra nights accommodation which he tried to charge me first. Breakfast was good and staff in there as well as the cleaner were lovely.

Make sure you know exactly what you've booked, the guy on reception who wasn't that friendly considering his job tried to get me to pay for things I'd already prepaid for. Hotel spammed me with multiple emails the week before offering expensive upgrades. Think there must be smoking rooms, it definitely smelled like it. Ring for your own taxi to the airport, half the price of what guy on reception quoted if he phoned up for me.

- Location near Souq Wakif and Metro Station, shops and restaurants. - There is bath tub in the room, though small. - There is gym and swimming pool, though the swimming pool is small. - They provided early check-in and late check-out. - Quick check-in and check-out procedure. - They were responding to messages in Booking.com before arrival.

- There is no parking in the hotel, we have to use street parking, it is hard to find the space around the hotel. Recommended to park behind the Metro Station where there is a large parking space. - During check in, in the reception, the other receptionist (a young lady) was arguing with other staff, looked unprofessional, they should have settled internal issue not in front of customer. - The table and chair were not comfortable to work with my computer. - I called the reception to get a toothbrush, I didn't come for about half an hour that I had to call again to remind them.

It would be nice to facilitate a little more period, even less than half.a.day.. before taking a purchased Airport Transfer .. especially: 1. For evening Flights; 2. Guests who stayed for a full Week or close to 2weeks.. Room AC Thermostat probably needs to be checked; Breakfast: Needs to be more clearly indicated, as 40 QRs (if prebooked), and not the usual 50QRs); Airport Pickup: Needs to be indicated as available, (for 50QRs); I think I had seen it as 80!! I liked the city view from my window

The location was good near the Souq Waqf, the Corniche and West Bay view in the distance and I had a great view of all of them on the 4th floor of this 10 floor hotel with floor to ceiling windows but the windows were dirty outside. The room was spacious with a kitchenette with microwave and small refrigerator and good beds. Since my stay was during Ramadan, there was no breakfast in the dining area only a box breakfast could be delivered to your room. I did not elect to have breakfast. The indoor swimming pool was small but the exercise room was large and well equipped. There were three elevators and I never had to wait to get one. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The price I paid was reasonable for this older hotel. TV did get several English channels so I kept up on the news.

The bathroom had mildew around the tub and lower tile walls. Also seen mildew around the sink area where it met the counter. There were two dressers that did not match which seemed one two many and the room could have used a small table and chairs instead to compliment the kitchenette.

Receptionists in general decent. Some requires to draw a welcome smile on their faces. Cleaning staff excellent. View and room ambiance excellent.

The shower was annoying!!! Water temperature was changing from warm to cold then hot, adding to this a very awful smell coming out once water comes out from showing spray, as if it is contaminated water. The same reported to reception but no change. TV facilities are not so entertaining, with limited channels.

The location is great. Exit from the Souk Waqif (North) train station - (after the ticket exit to the left and up the escalator) then it is just about a 300 m walk to the hotel. The surroundings are cool too, especially to those who love gold.

No toothpaste in our room, we had to buy our own and supermarket is quite tricky to be found. We had to walk around the to finally find one. Other than that, it is okay.

The location of the hotel is close to Souq Wakif metro station. Staff were very helpful. Housekeeping came several times a day. Free water, tea and coffee in the room, and in the lobby area. Lots of amenities are provided on request, for example, they sent me a dental kit and a shaving kit. Swimming pool is small, but adequate.

Place could do with re-painting. Breakfast is ok, but not a lot of variety. Apart from snacks on sale, no lunch or dinner options. The TV signal quality wasn't the best, and needed more English channels.

as our flight was very early in d morning we had to miss the buffet breakfast. hotel allowed us to pick food and drinks from their small ‘cafe’ as replacement. that was awesome

the walk from the airport

Price per night was reasonable for a 3-Star hotel where the facilities were complete. Anyhow our main reason for choosing this hotel was it close proximity to Souq Waqif, in the Old City. The room was large with a kitchenette ie wash basin, fridge ( medium size, not the normal small fridge) and a microwave oven. Plates and other cooking utensils were not provided in the room but could be requested from the hotel. There's a single seat sofa with small table and another person could sit on the bar stool, for a meal. The air-conditioning control system ( ie Siemens) works fine. Coming back to Souq Waqif, it just a 400 meter walk and the Museum of Islamic Culture is around 800 meter walk, same as the Corniche. The best part, there's also an entrance to the Metro (Gold Line) station, about less than 100 metre walk from the hotel. There's a mosque in front of the hotel about 50 metre walk and several small restaurants behind the hotel.

The hotel was a bit old but the good thing it's all functioning. The bed was double bed unlike normal hotel where queen bed is provided. The breakfast was a bit pricey.
