Location, atmosphere, and value; this place exceeded our expectations so much we thought we were given an upgrade!

Only suggestion is to regulate the spa a bit more. Some guests were using it w/o booking their times and would place wet towels on the only lay down areas, thus making them unusable by other guests sharing the spa time with them. Signage or a bit more direction by staff would help.

simply amazing. clean, beautiful, excellent location, we were 5-10 minutes walking from everything. pool with heated water, sauna. best choice

The hotel is walking distance from all the main attractions. The room was huge, very clean and comfortable. Also pet friendly which was important for us as we travelled with our cat.

The spa is small. The robes are at 5 eur, no slippers provided.

Amazing hotel in the heart of Florence, located in a beautifully renovated historical building, with a modern touch. Staff very nice and welcoming.

The hotel is located very close to Florence’s sights but not on a main tourist route and with some great restaurants nearby. Rooms were spacious, well maintained and clean with modern bathrooms and USB power points. The staff were friendly and the buffet-style breakfast included scrambled eggs along with fresh bread, cold meats, cheese, pastries, cereals, etc. The spa (pool and sauna) is small but atmospheric and is limited to six people, so must booked at reception in advance. There are no towels in the spa but I was told I can take them from my room, just wish I’d know that before I changed.

Our shower didn’t appear to have hot water so we had to switch-on the taps in both the shower and sink for the water to heat. Once we'd been told this it wasn’t a problem, but we had to wait for an hour on our first night before maintenance arrived and explained. Perhaps the receptionist will be told or it will be fixed for other guests? There was tea/coffee making facilities in the room but the maid often forgot to leave any replacement tea/coffee or cream. I know that’s a minor issue but when you have to queue at reception on multiple days to ask for more tea it becomes a little annoying. When we return to Florence Casual Rinascimento will be our first-choice hotel, but I’ll pop some teabags in my case next time

breakfast. Selection was limited, very few fruit available but the most frustrating was the chef only ever put about 6 pieces of bacon on the buffet. As soon as the waitress put it out it was finished! I had to ask each day for bacon..! I expect the reason for this is because it’s an expensive item.. if that’s the reason then charge more and put more bacon out. Although actually there are much cheaper cuts of pork (sliced pancetta?) Sausages are also cheaper and more filling, you could include these perhaps?. I recommend the manager sits in his/her restaurant from time to time and experience the offering.. This feedback is meant with the very best intentions as I was a hotel manager for many years..

This is a great base for exploring Florence. The surrounding area has lots of great local restaurants and you are not far from the main sites of Florence. It's a little off the main tourist path which is great. The hotel was very clean, rooms were spacious and modern. Coffee machines and kettles were a great touch.

One staff member was a little rude and unhelpful when we asked about extra rooms for stranded family and friends who were stuck in Florence following the air traffic control flight cancellations. This may have been lost in translation though. Also worth bearing in mind that you need to book the pool in advance if you want to use it.

Lovely welcoming courtyard, helpful reception staff, as there was 3 of us we had a double room and the sofa bed in the other room, beds and sofa bed were very comfortable. Rooms were light, bright and large, plenty of storage and we loved the quirky artwork on the walls and the floor carpet with. Street plan and ‘you are here’ spot. Nice to have 3 bottles of cold water in the fridge too. Bathroom was lovely and very much liked the Rituals shower p, hair and hand wash. We used the pool and sauna one evening, which was very pleasant, it was nice having the towel robes to use. Breakfast room was lovely and one of the best breakfast selections we’ve had. The female staff member was very cheerful and helpful.

Walking distance to all of the sites of Florence. Convenient to dining and coffee. A comfortable stay in a renovated old building. The rooms were modern with a comfortable bed, well designed bathroom and large, open main living room. Bedroom and bath were comfortable size, but bath not large enough to accommodate 2 people at the mirror. Nice toiletries and generously sized towels. Bed was comfortable.

AC was preset, so had to open windows to cool the room. Unfortunately, this also opened the avenue for mosquitos to enter the room. The furnishings in the living room area could have been more substantial, also would have been good to have a small dining table with chairs, there was more than enough room for additional seating and table. Key card was not working one evening, the front desk clerk was very considerate and helpful in getting everything working again.
