It’s just perfect!

The location for visiting sites in Florence was fabulous. The hotel staff was helpful to point out special locations to visit, too. All hotel staff were friendly, the breakfast was fresh, and the room was comfortable.

We have visited Florence multiple times and stayed at 3 & 4 star hotels, in comparison I don’t understand how this hotel is only a 2 star. It is a dream location right in the center of everything, 5 to 10 min walk to the historical sights, surrounded by tons of stores for the shopping lovers like me, and plenty of cafes, restaurants for the foodies. We had a car therefore parking was essential, a private locked garage was provided and only a 2 min. walk away. The staff would get our car and bring it to us each time when needed. The owners, 2 brothers, Gabrielli and Mario are the most respectful and conscientious people, we felt like guests in their home, like family. They were extremely thoughtful from suggesting their favorite restaurants, to a multitude of sights to see and things to do. Constantly asking if there was anything else they could assist us with. When we first arrived Fabrizio, greeted us with 2 bottles of cold water and insisted on bringing our luggage to our room on the 2nd floor which doesn’t sound like a big deal but we had 2 suit cases each weighing over 25 kilos/ 55 lbs. and there is no lift. No lift was not a big deal for us especially when he insisted on bringing our luggage to our room. Fabrizio, was very helpful with any questions we had and a constant pleasure to speak with daily. Breakfast was excellent, an abundance of fresh goodies and as much espressos and cappuccino’s your hearts desire. The rooms are exactly as seen on the web site. We chose the triple room, cleaned daily, sheets changed every 2nd day, excellent air conditioner, TV and long mirror, bathroom shower head was strong and had a bidet, all our essentials were met. Check out is at 10:00 am, they brought our luggage down and offered to put it in a secure place should we want to stay in the city longer. We stayed for 5 nights, and cannot think of one thing to complain about. Not only do we recommend this home away from home but we would definitely stay there again.

The hospitality was 2nd to none! Gabriel and the other man were very attentive. We were supposed to stay at another hotel but found they didn't have air conditioning. 1 night was just unbearable in this heatwave. So we checked out and booked this spot last minute and it was so much better. Free breakfast, nice clean air conditioned room. They stored our luggage and took our bags to the room and stored them on checkout so we could explore florence. Even booked a taxi to the train station and it literally came in 1 minute.

Nothing not to like

Very friendly and helpful staff; The restaurant recommended by the hotel (estate) is good. The garage service (car is picked up and brought back) worked without any problems (and was affordable).

We had a great stay at Hotel Santa Croce. The staff were very helpful in giving us tips on dining, wining and going to a football game. The hotel is ideally located.

The breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is perfect, right in the centre of the historical heart of Florence.The owner and the staff were excellent!

Great location, clean but the best feature is definitely the friendly and helpful staff. It is worth staying just for the service.

Excellent location near Croce Church and the Duomo and near bus stops. Excellent restaurants nearby. Staff were very friendly.

Really friendly and knowledgeable hosts, location within minutes of major attractions and night life and good restaurant choices.
