Very good location on the beautiful island of Ortigia in a narrow quiet street. The location allowed us to explore the island but at the same time easily reach the "city" side of Siracusa. Even though the rooms don't have sea view, the sea was just around the corner, so with open windows we could hear the waves crashing the rocks at the shore :) The rooms were super clean, the beds were comfortable, the bathroom was inside of the room and had everything we needed. The place accepted payment by card which was a plus for us. The breakfast was included in the price and had quite a few things to choose from (both sweet and savory). The breakfast was at a restaurant downstairs which is also owned by the same B&B hotel. The outer part of the restaurant has a sea view, so we could enjoy the sun and sea-salty air while having our cappuccino :) The owner's English was basic, but good enough to communicate.

The staff were particularly great and supportive and kind. Marco exceptional, working hard to make sure everything went well for the guests, a lovely man. He drove me to the Pharmacy when I needed medication for my son. Giovanni also very helpful going out of his way to help organise a lift to the accomodation from 2 hours away when our flight delayed. The room was huge, beds comfortable, good air-con, very clean, good shower and bathroom. Everything you needed. Great location, near the wonderful market, on a quieter side of the Island. We loved Ortigia and Siracusa and would recommend this accomodation to anyone.

Lovely family run B & B/pensione with the father, mother, brothers, sisters, wives etc. all giving a helping hand. Complimentary breakfast in the café on the corner - the best in Sicily! We ate there one night - really good food, highly recommended. Very accommodating in relation to left luggage / breakfast options etc.

It's down a very narrow alley, but only a stone's throw from the sea. Perhaps best to approach from the sea side the first time (it's easier to find the café of the same name I think).

Vicolo IV is a very fortunate discovery in Ortigia. The rooms are very large, all freshly refurbished and perfectly appointed. Large beds, huge fridge at Guests' disposal, nice size TV. Staff is made of very nice Hosts, always ready to assist and support, including Marco, one of the Owners. Breakfast in their own little bistrot restaurant is good and more than enough at this price point! Location is brilliant, right along the Promenade and seafront. Parking available for free along the seafront. Just be patient and someone will leave a space free. Otherwise, the covered Talete Parking structure is just 400 metres away. Just a warning for those who have walking problems: there is no lift up to the rooms, but a steep set of a few stairs. However, they may have also ground floor units available.

Let me start from the fact we were in January. Apartment is located on Ortiga - very close to historical centre. In winter there are lots of parking spaces which was comfortable and close to the sea. Everything in the room was fine. Room is spacy so we couldnt heat it quick enough but maybe it was us not being able to work it out. Breakfast was served in a caffee which is owned by the appartment owner. Limited to crossaint and fresh coffee but it is Italy. You eat sweet breakfasts :) We can reccommend Apollonion restaurant for sea food experience.

The owner offered us an espresso within one minute of arrival! This was the best ever!! Very well decorated room. Great location. Parked on street across from hotel and owner arranged our ZTL permit.Staff was friendly and helpful. Great value for the money.Restaurant was full of locals. Good sign of great food.

- perfect location - the familiar atmosphere in the restaurant (the owner even played cards with us) - a cat saying hello in front of our door - we loved the whole vicolo team

- no window was difficult - some mould in the bathroom - only one vegetarian pasta option in the restaurant ( the food was great and we would have eaten there more often if there had been more veggie pasta options)

Quietly located away from the busy streets, friendly staff and easy to check in, check in was at the restaurant in the same house towards the water. Big room and great windows to the alley (second floor). Breakfast that was included was easy and simple, good enough for the price we payed for the room.

Room not very “soundproof” but that’s to be expected from an older building. We didn’t experience any problems tho.

The staff is kind, the breakfast is wonderful, the location is perfect.

The towels were clean but smelled of cleaning chemicals i.e. something like chlorine, and this smell doesn't wear off. The floors felt a bit slimy, so we had to wear shoes inside, as a result the floors became more dirty (sorry for this). The room was somewhat damp (maybe coming from the stone wall), so turning on air conditioner is a must, but it works extremely loud. But these are minor things (hopefully the staff can work on it), overall the place is really very good for the price.
