I had a beautiful room overlooking the Temple of Hercules which is in a lively piazza. Probably the best location in Ortigia. From the balcony you get an 180 degree view of the sea. It’s an old fashioned apartment with antique furniture. My room had old black and white tiles on the floor, like a Vermeer painting. The ceiling was very high with painted decorative garlands of flowers. Tall windows with shutters to keep out the light and noise outside, a lovely old desk to work on, soft double bed. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels were given. The bathroom is en suite. Guests can also use the kitchen to cook and make their own meals. You are given your own shelf in the fridge to keep food and water. There is a lift the apartment which is on the second floor. It is a safe, central area. A short walk to the sea and bars where you can sit and watch the world go by.

The breakfast is rather thin and you would have to make your own tea or coffee. I didn’t realise there was cereal. There are often home made cakes in addition to a fruit yoghurt, fruit juice, bread, biscuits, crisp bread, and a chocolate sweet. But it is all very charming.

most beautiful apartment during our journey through sicily: italian vintage looking furniture in the apartment as well as in the common areas, our room had two cute little balconies with partial seaview and a modern bathroom. everything was spotless cleaned and the host was more than kind to us. the breakfast is homemade and will likely bring you through the morning. if not, there are plenty bars and cafes for a second round. location is more than central in charming siracusa, so expect some noise in the nighttime (but hey, this is sicily, so you should see it as a part of your journey). some nice little beaches are 10 mins walking. casa cristina: highly recommended!

The location was great, easy to walk around Ortigia. The owners were very helpful and friendly. They helped us organise parking which was no bother. The room was large. Air con was great. View out the window of ruins of Tempio di Apollo. Breakfast was good - especially fresh figs and homemade cake. Comfortable bed, older style but comfortable. Full of character, wrought iron balustrade looking out over the Piazza, and quite homely. You could cook there if you want. Close to the morning food market - fish, fruit & vegies.

The location was amazing. Close to everything. Loved our room 2. The lift worked very well. Cold breakfast provided was completely adequate. We found free parking not too far from the property. Ortigia is beautiful.

It was all good but I would have liked to see the owners more for information. But the man we met was lovely.

Our host was really helpful in getting us parked up when we arrived and assisting with our luggage. The property is really authentic and the rooms we had with the balconies were amazing. And the view! It was fabulous looking out to the Temple of Apollo! The location was fantastic, the market right on your doorstep and so easy to get to all the wandering streets of the island. The shared kitchen was really useful too - use of the fridge for keeping your beer & vino cool if you fancied a quick one whilst getting ready to go out! Homemade cakes were delicious too! The value for money was great considering the location, views and beautiful rooms.

Not the hosts fault at all, but there was some building work going on in the apartment below, so perhaps bring some ear plugs. Plus obviously the location is very central which we were aware of and it can get a bit noisy with bin men collecting rubbish quite early etc. so again just to be aware of this. However, we would still stay here again!

A very nice bed and breakfast on the island of Ortigia. There is a common dining area and kitchen equipped with all that's needed. Breakfast is very good and includes jam, cookies, fresh fruit, coffee, bread, etc. The owners are some of the nicest and kindest people we ever encountered while travelling, they recommended some local restaurants to us which were top notch and places to visit while in Siracusa. One evening they left a tray out with homemade liquor and cookies for the guests and as a parting gift they gave us a piece of papyrus with the fountain of Aretusa etched on it. I don't know if all guests receive the same treatment, but this is hospitality done right. The room was very clean and comfortable. It is also cleaned every day. We stayed for 4 nights, we will stay again if we visit Siracusa in the future.

This B&B is in an excellent location and has use of a kitchen, which is great when you’re tired of restaurant food. The other people staying there were fun and interesting. Host Sergio is a sweetheart and sets out breakfast items, which vary daily, by 7am. Our room (#1) was very basic and the price was an excellent value. We saw room #2 and were jealous, it was really nice with balconies out two streets. The soundproof doors on the balconies work beautifully and the elevator works well.

This is an older building, so there are some signs of age. The decor is kinda like grandma’s house, but it’s got charm.

Casa Cristina is located in the centre of everything in Ortigia. BnB is super clean, our room was huge, with two balconies and beautiful old furniture. The host - Sergio - is very kind and helpful, a real gentleman. He recommended us a very good restaurant nearby and also informed us immediately after we forgot to take some of our stuff when checking out.

It is a little bit loud in the evening and in the morning, as it is located in front of the Apollo temple ruins, where two streets cross.

The hosts were really attentive and helpful. They made suggestions and anticipated my needs. The location was fantastic. Right in the heart of Ortigia with a view of the temple ruins.

The location was fantastic with a great view of a piazza and some ruins from our balcony. There was a small miscommunication about the bed set up we needed for the three people in our room, but after we arrived everything was taken care of right away by our very, nice host.
