Staff very polite and helpful. Hotel overall very nice. Room was clean and comfortable on higher floor with pleasant view of River and City. Location good and close to 7 eleven Store with four Laundromats around the suburb. A little bit of a walk to Osaka Station but ramps available when carting suitcases.

Shuttle needs to be reactivated for those staying weekdays. Would have made our daily outings to and from Osaka Station much easier. Shuttle running times needs to also be given to visitors on arrival, so the shuttle can be utilized better. Friday, and weekends aren't enough if you're staying longer and using JR regularly for outings.

The staff were very knowledgeable and helpful, the place very clean and well maintained. Every member of staff we engaged with were helpful and did their best to ensure an enjoyable stay. Breakfast was relatively good. Very robust and fast wifi!

Distance to Osaka station meant we had to take a shuttle bus, which was fine. Except the bus does not operate on Mondays to Thursdays. I recall it used to operate daily Pre-Covid but I could be mistaken. We ended up having to take a taxi from the train station to the hotel when we arrived. The staff were very apologetic and said they hope that this operating schedule can be improved upon when numbers go up, which is very fair.

Almost everthing

Arriving 8..10pm on Monday night could not get anything to eat in the Westiin and got no help at reception for directioms to a place to eat. A female usher outside the door did give us a fair direction to where we might get some food We had travelled most of the day with no food available and long delay at passport control with no help for an elderly persom and a child in our group so we were disappointed with attitude at reception We were prepaid guests since August 24th.

Location in regards to food access (yodambashi shopping centre) , train and subway access (osaks station) both within 15 min walk. koi pond which delighted the children. Helpful staff. Excellent decor and fittings. Very comfortable rooms. Double sinks and glass door separating toilet and shower for added privacy always a bonus.

Would be nice to have hotel food that catered to small eaters such as bistro type meals rather than buffet options only,

This hotel is really lovely with HUGE rooms compared to the other Japanese hotels I stayed in. They offer a lovely space to relax and unwind with great views (mine was of the nearby Sky Tree building). The breakfast was nice with a chef available to cook up egg based dishes. The staff were lovely and even sent some treats to my room as it was my birthday. The bathroom is gorgeous with good quality toiletries. I tried out the Teppanyaki dinner in the Japanese restaurant which was delicious.

It has been commented on already, but they charge extra to use the pool facilities. I understand that this is because it is run by a different company. It isn't much - maybe 12 or 13 euro but given the price of the room, I would add it to room rate as it feels a bit off to charge for something that most people expect to be included as part of a high end hotel stay. Location wise, it is a bit of a walk to the nearest train station, but I think there is also a bus service. There were taxi's outside nearly all of the time that I was there. Overall, I would come back to the Westin again.

A true 5 star hotel in everything: from the large and spacious rooms to the high-level and gentle service of all the staff. The location might seem far from the main attractions of the city but, in my opinion, it's one of the nicest areas of Osaka and I highly recommend staying here and moving around. Unfortunately, we didn't have the chance to try the breakfast due to our tight schedule so I can't give my opinion on that.

Spacious room and great breakfast

there is a big construction going on the hotel side from Umeda station, so it is not convenient to go there by foot. You will need a cab to go there and it took some time to find a cab ride because there is a specific place to take a cab. This development is for expo 2025. After this construction is over, it will be nice to go to Westin Hotel. No noise in the room from the construction.

Great location - close to Osaka station. We only stayed one night here after arriving at Kansai airport in Osaka. We were able to catch the rapid train (JR Pass) and get to our accommodation quite quickly. Osaka station is huge but Apple Maps was able to help us find our way to the hotel. We were able to walk to the accom without any issues. i think there is a shuttle bus on some days. We were happy with the rooms and would have like a few more nights there. There are 7/11s and Lawsons nearby for folks who need access to cash and food etc.

As always hotel rooms are quite small in Japan, so needed a bit of juggling to accommodate two people and suitcases but not a big deal. Would have been wonderful to have access to the shuttle bus...

Room was spacious, beds were really comfortable, and the staff were super helpful. Right next to the Umeda Sky Building with its amazing observation deck.

A 15 minute walk to the closest train station. Not a huge walk, but we’d been spoiled by our hotel in Tokyo being 7 mins away from a station.
