Excellent location within walking distance of Osaka station and Umeda-Osaka stations. Or if you prefer there is a bus stop and taxi stand across the main road 100m away. The beds are very comfortable. The housekeeping was as requested and perfect. I wish I had a breakfast there as it smelled fantastic. There are also several Family Mart's within short walking distance either direction from the main entrance. If you are not driving, find the buses to the right of the Central entrance so that you can 'see' the city. No. 88 takes you directly to Osaka Bay with a four minute walk to the Osaka Kaiyukan Aquarium. I try to do one thing each day that I'm not entirely sure I would enjoy and an Aquarium is in that category for me. To my delight, I stayed three hours. It's great for all ages. And while you are there do the Tempozan Giant (perhaps not 'ferris'' as it may not be made of iron) Wheel long slow ride with great views of the Bay. It's across from Universal City which needs to be done on a separate day. If you are moving accommodations from Osaka to Kyoto try shifting places on a weekend or a public holiday on the Hankyu line Rapid Limited Express Kyo-garaku train about ten minutes walk from Osaka station and going to Kyoto-Kawamachi Station with all the nearby shopping. The train is very beautiful with two separate gardens in the carriages. All for the regular fare. Will try to attach photos of this train. Also a fabulous beginning to a Kyoto day trip! Think about it!

- All the Americano coffee (bitter and Grade D beans if it's really Americano) you can drink available in lobby. - Do not take the AquaLiner cruise for views of Osaka Castle as there are no views of the castle.

This is a new hotel (3 years old) and is a quiet oasis in busy Osaka. While it was about 15 minutes walk from Osaka JR, it is a bit far with bags so we took a cab. The hotel is located near many good restaurant areas and the staff were very helpful with recommendations. The room was spacious, practical and beautifully appointed. We had a drink in the 2nd floor bar each night and the bartenders were outstanding - helpful with information and mixed the most delicious and interesting cocktails I have had for a long time.

Very modern and clean with spacious rooms. Whilst there are many, many places to eat and drink in Osaka, don’t underestimate the quality of both the Hotel’s bar and restaurant. My husband and I had a wonderful experience “dining in” on one of the nights we were there after having been out and about for so much of our trip. The whole place had a lovely vibe. Staff were very professional and friendly.

There was nothing not to like.

Hotel was clean and modern. Decent sized room. Available laundry machines to use. Location was good for us. We like walking. 5 minutes to Higobashi subway station. 10 mins from Osaka Station. Just be aware leaving Umeda Sky building there's only really the taxi or a 25 minute walk back to the hotel. Great customer service. Last day on checkout, pouring rain and hotel provided my wife and I free umbrellas for our walk to the train station.

Nothing really. We got a North facing room. View of high rise building across from us. If you can get a NW facing room then I think you would have a better view if that's important to you.

Clean and affordable, in a great location. 15 minute walk to Osaka station, or 10 min walk in the other direction to subways connecting to southern Osaka (Shinsaibashi/Dotonbori). Lots of food and bars within a 3-5 min walk to the north. This can be good or bad, depending on what you're looking for in a hotel: this place clearly primarily caters to international tourists. Didn't need a lick of Japanese language to get by, and 95%+ of people I saw in here were from abroad. This is a place to stay, but not a place to be immersed in local culture.

Very unusual room layout. Items below are both regarding a standard, small economy room. Dedicated shower wet room has floor-to-ceiling glass on two sides, only one of which is partially concealed by a curtain for privacy, and the other was fully exposed for the other occupant of the room to enjoy. Dedicated water closet (toilet room) had a curtain-less window directly facing the bed. While sitting on the toilet you can maintain eye contact--and hold a conversation due to lack of any sound attenuation--with someone sitting at the small table next to the bed. How convenient!

This is a really beautiful and tastefully designed hotel. Our room was a great size, big compared to other hotels we stayed in, and it suited our needs perfectly. It was exceptionally clean and the bed was SO comfortable (great pillows and linen too). We enjoyed breakfast but could see others may not like it (there’s 3 set menus to choose from). Overall it was a lovely hotel with great communal space (including an outside terrace), really friendly staff and comfy, luxurious rooms and we would definitely stay again even though the location wasn’t perfect for us.

The location was good but it was almost 1 hour walk to the main Dotonbori area. The hotel is relatively close to a subway station so we did use that but it is a bit far from the main areas on the whole. We also asked reception for some recommendations for food that we could walk to but they said as it’s a business area everything was closed on the weekend which was a shame. Because of this we didn’t feel there was anything exciting nearby the hotel. We also got some laundry done and the price was extremely high. But there is a coin laundry on site so perhaps we should have used that!

Loved the design and background music in lobby and common areas, feels very zen and relaxed. Free coffee and tea station is a big plus, gym was decent and there is a lovely library style room where you can read or hand out; laundry and dryer machines also available for anyone who needs that. Staff is very friendly and helpful, helped us to get some restaurants booked beforehand, there are a lot of fantastic dining options nearby in this area. Great value for money, big rooms for Japan.

Nothing really, just need to know that it is not right next to a subway station so depending on where you want to go you need to walk some 10-12 minutes, but that didnt bother us since we love walking anyway!

The beds were incredibly comfortable! Pillows too! Everything was clean!

Some of the staff had difficulty speaking English, which surprised me for a hotel that bills itself as cosmopolitan. We called the front desk to request an iron for the room and had to call back a couple times before we got someone who understood. She said she would bring one up, but in the end she said there were none available. It was disappointing as the hotel clearly states you can get an iron. They have a “laundry” room where you can go to iron your clothes, but it’s a bit awkward to ride the elevator with an armful of clothes, and then exit on the same floor as those going to the bar and restaurant. The hotel is clean and super comfortable, but it’s a bit bland, without any sort of interesting vibe.

Great location (within short walks of underground and JR line station), quiet but 'right in the middle', lobby area with coffee/snacks facilities, staff friednlyness, room decor, view

The 5 star rating is a bit misleading as this place is rather a 4 star hotel (not meant negative, but people expecting a 5 star experience will be disappointed), rooms are rather on the smaller side of things (this was the smallest of all hotel rooms during our holiday in Japan) and the bathroom setup is a bit compromised as a result. The hotel has its own nice restaurant which is aiming to play one league above the hotel itself, so it is not quite consistent. Nevertheless we would still recommend this place and will most likely return as both location and value for money ratio are in the right ballpark:-)

We loved this hotel. A little out of the way in a lane but that was nice, and right opposite a Family Mart which is always handy. Great authentic food nearby. Best part was the location - most things we needed to walk to (train stations, buses, etc.) involved strolling over the two bridges over the river which is so picturesque... it's just a nice area of Osaka. And not too far to walk to Osaka Station to connect to Shin-Osaka for the Shinkansen. Hotel was modern and lovely - very pleasant spacious room, comfortable lounge downstairs, and very friendly and efficient staff. Just a great base to explore.
