Nice quiet room facing inner yard so no noise from the street. Breakfast in the room was only 5€ and it was possible to order it in our room the evening before, due to having to leave for a dog show very early next morning. It was lovely that the room location is below ground level when the weather was so hot, so it stayed rather cool. Bathroom looked quite new.

The carpet in the room has seen its best days. It also brings a bit stuffy atmosphere to the room as the lights are not that bright. It was for sure clean but just would be nicer without it.

Since there is no ''Who did you travel with'' category for 5 die hard czech and slovak ice hockey fans, I need to mention it here myself :-) It will be important later on in this review as we really enjoyed the whole world ice hockey championship to the fullest and it slighly affected our (and others) view on the whole stay. :-) Fist of all, the hotel itself exceeded our expectaions in every way. We are normally happy with just a place to sleep (or exprience alcoholic coma) with a private shower and toilet but the rooms at the hotel offered much more than this for the same price we would normally pay somewhere else.. our drinks were always cold thanks to the kitchenette which has been part of our room and included fridge freezer, cutlery and just right amount of glasses. :) Massive wardrobe came in handy too as we could hang our jerseys there to make sure they are in the best conditon every day (unlike us :D).. Long story short, the photos of rooms and hotel here on booking.com don't lie :) You can also rent a bike, order breakfast to your room or buy a jar of homemade honey as there are apparently over 20 bee hives on the hotel's roof! We wanted to try / do / see all of these things but for ,,some'' reason we got up at 11am every day and had no time left before we had to leave the hotel for another adventure. But I bet all of it would bee great too :-) The hotel area is nice too. Very quiet with a supermarket just around the corner with amazing Kult Kafe nearby too, where you can try majority of dishes from the local cuisine or cure hangover for a very, very good price. But what really stands out is the hotel staff, from the management, always smiling and helpful recepnionists to housekeepers who were doing great job too.

The staff were very nice and helpful. They showed us the bees they had on the roof and talked a bit about them. The hotel is cozy, and the location is well connected with the city center, even though it is a bit far away. The bus stop for reaching the center is located just outside the hotel. From the airport, you can reach the hotel with the bus nr 22 and a small wall of around 1.5km (more or less, it takes 40 minutes). We had to leave for the airport in the middle of the night, and the girl at the reception was really kind and booked a taxi for us. 

I really don't like to write this, but unfortunately, the bed wasn't too comfortable. It was very hard to sleep on the mattress. Apart from that, everything was very nice.

Janne Hotel is an excellent cosy place for a stay. The staff was exceptional, polite and very helpful. Pets are welcome at the hotel, and the price is lower than at other hotels in Riga. The hotel is located in a quiet area. There is a big grocery Rimi store nearby, several bus stops, a post office and a few pizza places. Agenskalns Market is also very close by. In the room, there is a TV, a kettle, some dishes and toiletries. Breakfast is also provided but you need to order it the night before.

You need to take a few steps down when entering the hotel, which might be inconvenient if you have a lot of luggage. Our room was also on the ground floor, and the windows are low, so you see a lot of people passing by, and it might get noisy. The area is relatively quiet though so we didn't have this problem.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was cozy and classical which I appreciated. Room service was always clean and frequent, and there was little noise except for the noise from above my room. The staff were also very nice and attentive if required. The location is also perfect, very cleverly placed.

There was sometimes noise from above my room which came from others that lived near or above the hotel, this was a nuisance during the night but unavoidable I suppose.

It's a charming little hotel in a quiet neighbourhood. The receptionists and staff were extremely professional and nice. The rooms were spotless and were cleaned on a daily basis. The room had a kitchenette, which was convenient for preparing breakfast. Also, I'm not sure if this applies to every room, but ours was themed as a carpenter's room, complete with a carpenter's desk and tools, which was very lovely.

The shampoo holder in the shower had some rust, so it needs to be repaired.

The hotel was very quirky and unique - with many antiques in the reception area and inside the room. We had old sewing machines fixed to the wall in our room - it was nice to stay in a hotel that had some character, but that wasn't a B&B. Beds were ok, could have been slightly softer but were comfortable enough. For the price we paid I can't complain. Friendly staff and they have bees on the roof and make their own honey. The fridge, microwave, kettle, basic crockery and cutlery were very handy and came in useful for breakfasts.

The room was very warm and had no radiators we could turn off, which made it a bit difficult to sleep at night. The fridge compressor was quite noisy.

Good location, quiet place, comfy bed. The administrator waited for us since we arrived a little past usual check-in time. Great place for one night stay, got everything you need!

Room is on the ground floor, a little below the street level so it was a bit weird to sleep with open windows, but since it is quiet neighbourhood, it was not that bad! A little unpleasant smell in the toilet from the pipes.

Was pleasantly surprised that the floors were heated, that made a big difference when using the shower or bathroom at night for instance. The room had a small kitchenette together with a fridge and a microwave, plates, cups and cutlery (no stove). The place wasn't overpriced due to it's location.

I checked in pretty late and realised that I didn't have any tea with me. The staff left at 6pm, so I couldn't ask anyone for a tea bag. I thought, at least for a winter period, would've been great if they had a couple of tea bags and coffee sachets on a table. Also, the pillows are really tiny, had to put our jackets underneath, for them to be comfortable.

Its very unique and cool. I got a room with old handtools and an old wood worktable as a desk. Its close to a good store. Staff was very good and speak good English. We got there very late due to flight delays and where greeted with a smile and kind words. I recommend this place and ill come to them again next time

Cant rely say a anything bad. Only we had two beds we just put together so yea thats it. And the light should be in the middle but im nitpicking. Very small things
