We loved our stay stay in the big room at terranova for 5 nights in January 2022. Valentina, Gabriel and Rafa were so lovely to make us feel completely at home and gave us the best tips for restaurants, bars, how to get around. In a place like Tulum this can really make or break your stay and it really made a big difference, Thank You all so much!! They were so kind to make us to extra effort with everything (taxis, drinks, laundry, recommendations) and we really enjoyed spending time there just hanging out. The room is absolutely beautiful, spacious, clean, and the best shower we had in Mexico! There’s a nice veranda to sit outside and then down at the pool/ bar you can get very reasonably priced drinks and learn about and try different mezcals. The area in La Veleta is so cool and laid back, some of the best food we had in Mexico and more chilled than the beach area but still walking distance to downtown. We would really recommend staying in this chilled paradise hotel during your stay in Tulum!

Nothing! If you want to be close to the beach, don’t stay here. However if you want a super cool location and a quick ride beach, this is the place for you.

To enjoy a week's vacation in Tulum, we decided to rent a car at the Cancun airport and stay at Hotel Terranova. It was the best decision we made! The experience at Boutique Hotel TerraNova was fantastic from the first moment! The hotel is located close enough to the center of Tulum for those who like to walk a bit (although we did use the car), but it is blessedly away from the hustle and bustle, on the edge of the jungle, allowing you to wake up with the sound of birds and made it possible to enjoy a calm and absolutely relaxing stay. The hotel space was immaculately clean, and the rooms are beautifully decorated. The hotel has an extremely friendly bar where the staff prepares excellent cocktails. And speaking of the staff… It is important to say that this is the strongest point of the hotel! I've traveled halfway around the world, but I've never come across a team so friendly and available to help you decide what to do around Tulum. Thank you very much Bani, Rafa and Gabriel! You were fantastic! It is worth mentioning that the cat Rita, also very friendly but full of personality, deserves to be considered an integral part of the team. She walks peacefully throughout the hotel and also contributes to the feeling of relaxation. And finally, many congratulations Gabriel! I hope you have a very happy birthday!

The hotel does not serve breakfast. However, there are great places to have breakfast and supermarkets within 5 minutes walking distance.

We had a great stay at Hotel Boutique TerraNova, which is a true paradise in great neighbourhood of Tulum. The place is beautiful, very clean, and most importantly - is created by fantastic people who are very helpful and are doing their best to make you feel most welcome there. We would like to thank Rafa and his entire team (including super cute cat) for taking care of us, all advice and nice conversations.

Everything was spot on. One remark - if someone wants to spend a lot of time on the beach and does not have a car, the location might be tricky (high taxi costs). The team will for sure advise you how to commute and spend your time in the best way.

We stayed in room 6 on the upper floor in August 2023. Excellent & friendly staff. Friendly room service staff as well. Big shoutout to Bunny (front desk), Rafi (owner) & Gabriel (front desk) for providing their best recommendations & advice during our stay! Hotel was about a 20 minute walk from downtown Tulum. However, Calle 7 (5 min walk) had plenty of food/restaurant/bar options. You can also rent scooters/bikes/ATVs nearby. We felt very safe during our stay. Great A/C in the room. We loved the natural aesthetics throughout this quaint boutique hotel. Great wifi & comfy bed. Would definitely stay again.

Not the biggest fan of the wooden floor boards in the shower. We felt that the shower took long to drain & the water would occasionally spill over.

The pool area is like an oasis; super tranquil after a long day of running around Tulum. The staff very friendly and helpful. We loved staying here!

We loved our stay at Boutique TerraNova! The garden, pool and bar are very beautiful and were quiet. We were upgraded to the beautiful "treehouse" rooms and Rafaelle made it possible for both us and our friends to be upgraded - this allowed us all to be on that level together. The rooms are gorgeous with very comfortable beds and furniture. Everything was very clean. Neighbors of the hotel were loud one night but the other nights were nice and quiet. Rafaelle, Benny and Gabriel were all very pleasant and very informative about places to go and things to see. The hotel is located in a nice part of the city, easy walking distance to many things. We will definitely be back.

There wasn't always hot water but we found this at other hotels in Mexico as well. I wouldn't change anything else.

The hotel is very cozy and veeeerryyy beautiful. Everyone is sooo friendly, it felt like home, truly. Everyone with hangout for a drink or a jus or an Italian coffee (veeerrryyy important to me to have good quality coffee in the morning) that you can get delivered to your room as well. It’s 4 mins away bike from center and 20 from the beach, but it’s situated in a quiet neighborhood at the heart of La valetta which is for me the coolest neighborhood with the best restaurants and bars (better than center). I loved everything about my stay especially the staff and the Raffa the owner.. leaving was a sad moment :(

***Solo Female Traveler POV:*** This place is perfectly located in Tulum. It is about 5 min from the Center of Tulum and 35 min bike ride to the beach. There is a bike rental place right down the street, food, grocery store, and holistic center which made walking around the area a breeze. The Hotel itself is not a big open space and is smaller but has a very private vibe. The rooms were absolutely clean. Mind you I went in Feb. when bug season is lower. I had no buy issues on the second floor of my room. The Hotel arranged for a private taxi but you can take the ADU from the airport to the place and they'll help you map things out. The shower had hot running water and the products they supply such as soaps, shampoos, and conditioners smelled incredible. They gave enough towels and if you want to go to the beach you can rent a towel for .50 cents. Which made things easy and nice. I didn't want the cleaner to clean my room but my request on that was dismissed yet I don't think anyone else will have an issue with someone cleaning their room everyday. I just happen to be a very private person and don't like the idea of someone walking into my room even if its to clean it. They have mini split AC in the rooms and it kept my room cool. They have a mini fridge as well in the space so I kept all my food in there. I also had issues with my Discover card. Just a heads up Tulum is VERY limited where they will accept Discover but the hotel helped me out with me transferring money and being able to pull cash through them which was awesome. I look forward to going back to this area where this hotel was located as the area was perfect for a Solo traveler such as me that wanted to be away from the noise but close enough to enjoy during the day.

This is a fantastic hotel in Tulum. We stayed 3 nights in total and Raffa (the owner) could not have been more helpful or accommodating. The deluxe studio rooms are spacious and beautifully designed, as is the whole hotel. The area itself is away from the main strip of Tulum so is peaceful at night, which we liked. Although there are many restaurants and bars in the La Veleta area within walking distance of under 10 mins. When you see some of the prices other places in Tulum charge, this place is exceptional value. If we ever come back to Tulum we will definitely stay here again.

The look of this hotel is really impressive. When you enter it, it looks like a jungle paradise. Our room was clean all the time and the interior was really beautiful. We felt really comfortable and welcomed. The hotel manager and all the hotel employees are really nice and attentive persons, you can ask them everything. They gave us a lot of restaurant and tour recommendations. The location of the Hotel is in a really good area, there are a lot of nice restaurants and stores around.
