The location is accessible to everywhere. It is close to central station, dam square, canal cruise is just few steps away and restaurants are just downstairs. They change our towels and beddings everyday and kept our room clean.

I just did’nt like the policy about bringing food in the room, I wasn’t feeling well when we arrived in the hotel and was planning to buy food from outside and eat it in the room so I can rest after but because of the policy I need to force myself to go out so I can take something despite feeling sick as I walk.

Consistently the cheapest option for a solo traveler who wants their own room. Excellent location, easily come and go without any hassle like some others hotels. Nice bathrooms, hot water, nice staff. Highly recommended!

I wouldn't recommend the double room option, the single is far superior in all ways except the bed. With a single room, I had a huge window with a view of the main street outside, a desk, a wardrobe with a very narrow bed. The double room I got was far in the back with a tiny misted window awkwardly placed behind the bedroom door which only partially opened in a direction away from you facing a wall, with no view at all. No desk, no wardrobe.

Bathroom was very clean and spacious compared to the rest of the room. The room itself was quite clean. The location is brilliant - it is very central we walked everywhere and if you have anywhere far there is a tram stop right in front. The red light district, amsterdam dungeon, markets, train station are all literally down the road from the hotel. Receptionist was very helpful and are available 24 hours- free coffee and tea.

The room was quite cramped but it was enough to use to just sleep after a long day of travelling. We were a group of three. Pillows could have been comfier. The corridors where a bit cramped to get in and out of our room with the laundry being left in front of our door. There is no elevator so you will need to bring up your luggage up a very steep set of stairs.

Nice staff, free coffee in reception, shower and bathroom was excellent. Location great. Room was great price. Stayed at most other budget places on Damrak and this is Definately the best. Remember though, this is budget level....so don't expect Hilton levels and you shouldn't be disappointed.

Was in top floor room, which I'm fine with stairs so actually enjoyed the seclusion. But my room must be situated very close to the pumped water systems in roof level of the building - so could get a little noisy but overall it wasn't a huge problem for me and considering price I paid...I accepted this as fair enough.

the receptionist (blondish woman) was super accommodating! From the phonecall before I arrived to during the stay until the final minute. Location is great, Bathrooms are refurbished and bed was comfy. Room is not spacious (barely space to open a suitcase) but totally worth the price.

I changed rooms because the first one was one the main street hence colder and too noisy at night (I was there for work so needed my nights). Once I changed which they straight away accepted, everything was good !

The hotel is in the central location. It is within walking distance of the train station and places to visit. hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. Thanks to the coffee machine, it is possible to drink quality coffee in the morning and at night.

The hotel is on Damrak street, the busiest street in Amsterdam. That's why the sound of the city may disturb you until the morning. In addition, the hotel has poor insulation, the sounds of people in other rooms or the sound of the door may disturb you.

About the best location you can get for a visit around Amsterdam. 5 minute walk from the Centraal Station for trains, metro and buses. Also a 5 minute or so walk from Anne Frank House, Red Light District and canal cruises. Desk was staffed 24 hours making it easy when I checked out at 4 am for an early flight home. Good heat and water pressure for shower. Never had to adjust the heating system.

Stairs are very steep and curvy, but that was expected. No food allowed in rooms. Sometimes we need a late night nibble! Room was small, but actually suitable for one person. However the bed, while surprisingly comfortable, was too narrow so I nearly slipped off it several times during my stay. Window doesn't open for fresh air.

The staff are all friendly and the property accommodated my request for a lower room due to my back and knees issue. The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is enough in space. The location is excellent as it is few stones throw away from the Amsterdam Centraal and near many attractions around Damrak. There is free coffee/tea in the reception. And they are quite generous with our requests for extra pillows and tissue rolls.

Small room for a family of 3.

Location was central and so close to everything. The staff were friendly. Hotel and room were clean and had the basics you need for a city break to Amsterdam. Beds were comfortable. Great to offer free tea and coffee too!

Rooms were small so you were very on top of each other. The tv didn’t work which isn’t a problem as you don’t go to watch tv but if it is in the room best to check that it works. The shower didn’t drain well so there was a lot of water in the bathroom so we had to use extra towels to dry it.

The lady at the reception was very friendly when we did the check in. She gave us the room immediately and show us a guide about the city. A coffee machine at the reception (for free). The location is perfect, close (by foot) from many points. 5 minutes walking from Amsterdam Centraal Station. Above the hotel has a bar & restaurant that gives you 10% discount if you present the hotel card. They clean the room everyday, and change towels. The shower was the best. Smoking is not allowed.

There is no lift, and our room was located above the stairs, then every night was little inconvenient with guests up and down making loud noises. If you stay there, ask for a room on 1st floor (because the stairs) but far from stairs. We need to ask for the remote TV at the reception, where they keep it.
