The location of this hotel is absolutely superb! I would recommend it any day. Even though the room is not big, it's comfortable & clean. The bed is strangely very comfortable.

The hotel could have told us that it's mere minutes away from the central train station. It would have saved us A LOT of money & time. If you walk out of central station, just walk straight along that road for about 7 minutes, the hotel is on the right hand side. The taxi took nearly an hour from the airport & traffic was very bad. If you land at the airport, take the train to central station & walk to the hotel.

* Location is fantastic - perfect spot! Close to the main train station, tram stations and Dam Square. * Room was very modern - interesting décor. * Bed and pillows were comfortable. * Balcony was cosy. * Very clean throughout bedroom and bathroom. * Breakfast was provided at an additional cost. * Staff were very helpful. * Aircon was great.

* Walls are VERY thin, we could hear the people talking in the room next door. They weren't being loud by any means - just talking and we could hear every word. * New bath towels were provided everyday - even when not requested. Meaning we ended up with 9 different towels! * Shower area is very small/tight, making it difficult to manoeuvre.

The Exchange Hotel is amazingly in the city center, 5 mins walking from the train station and a maximum of 30 mins from all the city attractions (the farest point is the Vondelpark, 30 mins). If you rent a bike, everything gets even closer. The check-in was fast and easy, and the receptionists were kind and nice. SUPER PLUS of the hotel: the elevator. You can get to the last floor easily, even with heavy luggage. We stayed in the room n. 221, not really a big room but enough for 3 nights. Another plus is that we could store our luggage there at the Hotel before taking our flight back home.

The room is really small, bathroom without window and the bed is too soft, not really good for everyone's back. Don't choose room 221 ( first floor) if you want a spacious space. Good for 1 person.

Location was ideal. There was bag storage before and after stay the bed was, comfy, the room clean, the air con worked well as did the safe, shower was always hot, and the lift was a nice relief. Our room was interestingly decorated as it had carpet on the ceiling, but the room 'blurb' stated it was last decorated in 2012 it showed and felt a little tired. The staff were the best part truly amazing and for them alone I would stay again

Toilet door hit my knees. No tea or coffee in the room, not a kettle. This is aimed to make you buy from the cafe downstairs (who sell great coffee). But when you get back late and fancy a drink it is a shame there were no facilities.

We booked this property due to the excellent location and funky room designs. The staff are friendly and super efficient. The rooms were both immaculate. The location is brilliant. We caught the train in from the airport and it as a 5-10 minute walk to/from the train station. Super handy for transport around the city. The Cafe down stairs does excellent coffee. Will be back for sure.

We didn't like room 219. It was a bleak grey box compared to the funky designs we saw on the website. We asked for a new room and were happily changed to a new room which was perfect.

Location is ideal, close to the train station, opposite the red light district and many options for food, conveniences and amenities within walking distance. Unusual and fashion touches to the rooms. Although on the main street, surprisingly quiet even at nights.

Pretty basic rooms, don't expect anything extra. For example, no kettle to make a tea or coffee, no desk to work, etc ...

Loved how quirky the style of the room was, we stayed in 504. Loved the design of the hotel too, it’s deception-ally big and we did get lost on our first night as there is an A and B lift that take you to different parts. It added to the experience and we found it hilarious because the hotel looks really small from outside

No tea or coffee facilities in the room or a hairdryer. Not massive issues but these should be a given, especially as guests are likely to be on a weekend trip travelling light.

The location is great as it's near Amsterdam Centraal Station and you can walk to rent a bike, book a boat tour and go to tourist attraction nearby. The room size is spacious with comfy bed.

It's wet easily when I took a shower as there isn't a shower stall to separate the shower room part and toilet part. In addition, the vending machine accepts only cash, card payment should also be accepted for foreign travellers.

I liked how central the hotel was. Everything we needed was in walking distance and we could return too the hotel through out the day. The staff are great and very friendly and every evening would tell us too enjoy our night. We didn’t get our room cleaned every day as we didn’t feel like we needed too , every evening a bag was left on our door contains fresh towels and soap , I thought this was a lovely touch as we didn’t have to ask. Very clean and central hotel. We had room 303 & it was lovely and spacious , the mannequins at first I thought was creepy but I loved how unique this hotel is.

We had no view from our room but this did not effect our stay.

Amaaazing, if you've come across this hotel when you're considering visiting Amsterdam, book it! Great location, only a couple minutes walk from the train station, the tram goes from right outside so if you don't want to walk then there's that to get you to places like the Van Gogh museum which is a little bit further away but most places are very close within walking distance. The beds were incredibly soft and comfortable, as were the pillows! I actually meant to check the tags before leaving so I could buy some myself but I never got around to it unfortunately!

I honestly can't think of anything that I didn't like about the hotel to be honest!
