The breakfast here is sterling quality (fresh fruit and yoghurt, sourdough toast with salmon/bagel, and a warm croissant too if you’re lucky), and the inn was incredibly welcoming throughout which made our stay very enjoyable. The neighborhood is central which makes travelling easier (we did everything by foot) and the bed was also very comfy to let us recover after a long day. I personally appreciated the high quality facilities, even things like Aesop products (lush smell), Dyson hair dryer, good bedding, and the lovely room scent - it just makes your holiday that much more pleasant. I travelled with my mother and she also had an excellent experience here. I would come back here!

For our room, there was a bath where you can shower too; this was fine for us, but it might be difficult for some people. The place has a communal kitchen for you to hang out in but it’s probably fair to say that the place is best for people who are wanting to visit the city and be out most of (or a lot of) the day - which I assume is most people!

First: the host. Matt is an extraordinary B&B host. He greets you in the morning with a stupendous breakfast with the best yogurt this 66 year old has ever tasted. Doesn't end there. Sliced fruit, granola, seeds, flakes to accompany your decadent yogurt. Milk, reg and oat, there too, of course. Orange juice. Topping off these starters is his specialty of scrumptious bread toasted to perfection with poached egg, avacado, chives,and bacon or salmon. Your choice. All fresh foods from the market and perfectly plated. Then, the room. Spectacularly comfortable. The room is equipped with an adorable fridge with wonderfully stocked items. The bathroom is spacious and equally equipped, even with bubble bath and towel warmer, and native treats! A chocolate bar! Location, location, location. The Lastage Inn is situated right in the thick of things, not a thing will you miss. We walked 8.5 miles each day from our lovely B&B. Did not need a metro, bus, or tram. There are so many other amenities and details that I will keep private so you can be equally pleasantly be surprised to experience for yourself, The Lastage Inn.

We loved everything about our stay in Amsterdam with Matt. The inn is located centrally making it easy to get anywhere we wanted to go. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely deep bath, cosy bed, fridge full of free drinks and snacks. Breakfast was a real treat of cereal, fresh fruit and a cooked breakfast made by Matt. Matt was super helpful spending time with us and a map showing us where to find things in the city, recommending places to eat and helping us navigate the transport system. I'm sure we will be back as we were so well looked after and made to feel so welcome.

Location is on a quiet street within walking distance of all the sights we wanted to visit while in Amsterdam. The bedding was made up with quality sheets, pillows, as well as a very comfortable mattress. The bathroom was recently updated, modern and also included high end shampoo, body wash and lotions. As a woman I really appreciate the Dyson hair dryer provided in the room..a really nice upgrade from standard hairdryers that hotels typically provide. Matt’s daughter graciously made delicious homemade chocolate fudge brownies and left them in our room each day. Matt also provides a mini refrigerator in the room stocked with choice selection of beers, sparkling water and sodas…all at no additional charge. The highlight of our stay was Matt’s 5 ⭐️ breakfast he prepared for us. Believe me it equally matched in taste and preparation to any 5 ⭐️ breakfasts we have experienced at the Four Seasons. Well done Matt and thank you for your gracious hospitality! We hope to be back.

Breakfast was incredible, and always made to order. The location was exceptional -- so easy to walk to major destinations within the city, plus any nearby transit. The rooms felt beautifully decorated and maintained, and the whole place felt like home. The best part was of course getting to know Matt. He is so open, generous, and a completely gracious host. We felt like old friends by the time we left. Any time we find ourselves back in Amsterdam, we would be remiss not to stay at the Lastage Inn.

Our stay at The Lastage Inn was perfect. The photos on here don't do the rooms justice as they were larger and nicer than we even expected. They were also clean and we are quite particular about cleanliness so there were standards to be met! We knew how good the reviews were and picked The Lastage Inn very carefully but we were still impressed. Matt was an incredible host - very easy to chat to and get along with. He also cooks a mean breakfast and ensures you want for nothing. When we return to Amsterdam, The Lastage Inn will be our choice of accommodation without a shadow of a doubt. I would highly recommend it.

Matt was the most magnificent host. He was warm, welcoming, extremely attentive, and truly went above and beyond with remarkable details. Matt dedicated time to get to know us and offer recommendations accordingly. Not only did he cook a wonderful, filling breakfast for us each morning, but he thoughtfully inquired and worked around food allergies. We stayed in the English Room and it was downright cozy. The bath tub was incredible, bed warm and comfortable, and air flow superb. And to our surprise, on a daily basis the room was cleaned, water refreshed, and the most delicious brownies left for us. Each day, it felt as though the inn and Matt set us up for a wonderful start and finish as we explored. We loved Amsterdam, plan to return, and can't wait to be back at the Lastage Inn to build more memories in such a special place!

This was the perfect place to stay in Amsterdam. Matt is such a funny and gracious host. He cooked us amazing breakfast every morning and there were treats in our room. Our room was extremely comfortable and is in an excellent location. Super easy to take the train to the main central station and then walk to the Inn. We felt like we were staying with a good friend or neighbor and got to pretend we were locals in the area. Would highly recommend this place and am definitely staying here again.

What a perfect place to stay. And our host Matt was magnificent. Personal service at the best. Such a wonderful place to stay, right in the middle of everything, but still so quiet and nice. I have travelled a lot, and if you are looking for something different than a regular hotel, THIS IS IT. Beautiful rooms with sweet details and offers. This stay can be recommended to the fullest and we will never stay anywhere else next time we travel to Amsterdam. Thank you so much for your service.

We have been to Amsterdam a few times and had lovely stays, but this stay was extraordinary. Matt is the charming host and went above and beyond for our 7 day stay. His home is gorgeous, the room immaculate, the bed one of the most comfortable we’ve ever slept in, and he is quite the chef for breakfast. Additionally, he’s a joy to talk to about anything and everything. When we come back, we will definitely stay at his b&b again and would recommend it to everyone. The neighborhood is wonderful and within walking distance to the best parts of the city. The Central Station is nearby and a Metro stop is even closer, along with charming shops and restaurants. The reviews stating how exceptional it is are 100% true. We wanted to stay longer and if we lived in the city, we would count Matt as one of our favorite people for a fun hang.
