The hosts were brilliant, very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The milk was in the fridge and the heater was on when we arrived. The bathroom was fresh and modern, and sparkling clean! Most Impressive!! The whole unit and property was clean, but the bathroom really stood out, as all the surfaces were spotless, including the tile floor. Also, we were allocated a unit at the rear of the property and it was wonderfully quiet. Electric blankets were supplied, though we didn't use them or need them, as there was ample bedding. Oh, Yes, and a range of pillows was supplied to suit almost any taste. All-in-all, a great experience and would happily go back. Recommend to anyone looking for a clean, quiet, nice place to stay.

This place was absolutely amazing. From the staff being attentive & kind, aswell as being able to have our beautiful furr baby Lola there, this place gets a 10/10 for us. The room was lovely, spacious, cosy & comfortable with a very lush comfortable bed, most hotels & motels i have stayed at do not have the comfortable feel that this place does & i can garantee we will be back to stay again!!!!

There was no oven, i had brought a pizza for us to share unfortunately i could not cook it but this wasnt really an issue as we just brought microwave meals instead & they were delicious

The accommodation was scrupulously clean, the towels were changed daily and the staff and managers very warm and welcoming.

It is a pity the car parks were not numbered, we sometimes ended up a few doors away from our unit, because someone else had used the parking close to our unit. I was not a fan of the kitchen arrangements. The bench space was taken up with a rather bulky mini cooker, and the microwave had no instructions. (I still find it extraordinary that microwave manufacturers make the controls so different from appliance to appliance) As the barest minimum of cups , glasses etc were provided, it was not possible to invite friends in for a drink.

Unbeknown to the hosts, I was very unwell and needed to check in early and sleep. They accommodated our request without hesitation and made us feel welcome upon our arrival. Both were friendly and welcoming. We were there exclusively to attend a tangi for a whanau member, so had shopped around to find suitable accommodation that fit our needs with an elderly person travelling with us, my wifes mother. Very happy with Northcote. Location was good for us. Shops nearby easy to get to and from.

Dog poo in the back yard, opened the window and back door to get some air flowing through and met with that smell. Minor detail but not pleasant nonetheless. Needless to say the door and window remained shut for the duration of our stay.

Very comfortable bed. Older type of building with seperate kitchen and bathroom off kitchen. My arrival was quite late at night and the key was left in a lock box with clear instructions given by email. A light was left on for me and the heater was on making the room toasty warm. Good parking and quiet location away from traffic. I had a great night’s sleep. Pleasant owners and they also have a very cute dog.

A bath mat for the shower would be good as it has a stainless steel floor and I felt it was a little slippery as I am not very steady on my feet.

Motel units were really clean and serviced daily. Units spacious and well presented. Staff were friendly. Conveniently located on a main arterial road. Guest laundry facilities were easy to use.

There was a bit of road noise and noise from the petrol station located in front of the motel units.

we had a ground floor one bedroom. super clean, not a speck of dust anywhere. lovely fluffy towels and face-cloths + toiletries and hairdryer in the bathroom. everything you’d need in the kitchen - fridge, freezer, microwave, stove/oven, even dishwashing liquid, plus a small bottle of milk provided on check-in. really well thought out little things like that to make stay comfortable. located right next door to petrol station so if you need basics such as bread and milk its easy to get. great idea to have the larger bed in the lounge area as kids can go to bed in the smaller room while as an adult you can still enjoy lounge, tv, kitchen facilities etc. no aircon but there is a large standing fan which kept the room cool with the windows open as well front and back area seating outside the unit so depending on if you want shade or sun you have options. all in all a lovely place and the hosts were friendly and welcoming

not a complaint, more a piece of advice that if you’re a light sleeper take an eye mask - the petrol station next door has large security floodlights so at night it can be a little bright in the room. but place is quiet so you don’t hear traffic pr comings and goings from the petrol station

The staff were friendly and accommodating. The bed was good and the place was clean. it was only round the corner from where we were having Christmas so not to far to drive later. I would definitely stay there again.

The only draw back was the noise from the compressor at the garage next door. It started up periodically. It didn't wake me but it made it harder to fall asleep. Once asleep though I dint really notice it.

Great that we were able to have our dogs with us. Hosts went out of their way to ensure we had parking outside our unit, much appreciated. Great size unit and bathroom bigger than expected. Kitchen had all we required. Hosts directed us to local takeaways and restaurants which were within easy walking distance along with huge park to walk the dogs 100m up the road. Also onsite toileting for the dogs and a wheelie bin provided - awesome!

Bed was a bit hard for me but that is purely a personal taste.

Decor was pleasantly neutral. Kitchen was well equipped with a good sized fridge. Room heating was sufficient for the coolness of the month. Use of free wifi was appreciated. Beds were comfortable and extra blanket was useful. I was able to have breakfast at an outside table which is in a covered porch.

Shower did not drain properly, and we were standing in cooling water while showering. As someone with a disability, this wasn't particularly good. There were some minor signs of wear and tear in the unit, but nothing else that affected functionality. TV signal dropped out a few times.
