I stayed at this motel last year as it was the best value for money. The rooms are very spacious. This room was a refurbished room which was nice, upgraded kitchen and bathroom which makes a big difference. Motel is run efficiently by the owners. By comparison I stayed 1 night at a motel in Te Anau which felt very cramped and in need of moderisation. Bavarian offered a lot more comfort for less money.

Only negative is being on the main road in and out of town with the subequently heavy truck and trailer units, but not much that can be done about that. It's an easy to find location and quick trip into town.

The bed was very comfortable and pillows were perfect, plenty of wardrobe space, the kitchen was well-appointed with the equipment we needed to create a meal. Bathroom was clean and the shower was powerful. The living area was a reasonable size and lies well to the sun, and the furniture well positioned. Good sized dining table/desk. Parking was right at the door. Recycling and composting is supported. There was a second TV in the bedroom, which was great.

I had booked a unit with full kitchen but we were first given a unit with just a microwave, until I pointed out the details of my booking. This was changed quickly and efficiently. The lighting in our unit wasn't great - in the living room it wasn't bright enough for me to knit by. The reading lights over the bed were awful - they flickered the whole time and were nowhere near bright enough to read by. I popped in a standard bulb in one and it worked perfectly - so this was just a bulb issue. There is some morning road noise - and our unit was well in from the road. The sliding bathroom door opens directly into the kitchen. The sofa in the first unit was more comfortable than where we ended up!

They were very accommodating and allowed us to check in early so I could rest as I struggled with my health. I appreciated this. Our accommodation was lovely warm, clean and spacious. We will return if back in the area

Loved the heated flooring, it was really nice and warm and spacious too. The lady on check in was very friendly , loved her customer service. It’s also 5mins from town

When I checked in there was a pee mess in the toilet seat which threw me a bit but I cleaned it before use. There was an odd misty kind of smell, don’t know how to explain it.

The price was appropriate to it's condition and there was lots of room with cooking facilities

Had some difficulties with getting channels on the TV. The bedroom lights weren't working. The unit needed some repair and redecorating but that was reflected in the very reasonable price so was acceptable.

Location a little far out of Central due rd blocks at our first arrival. . Not your problem and I had realized the position of area when I booked.. The manager was lovely and very helpful and doing great service. Beds comfortable and place very clean.

it looked like some clients were not using recycling and rubbish bins correctly.

The rooms were very clean, tidy and well presented. The bathroom was nice and clean and towels and all amenities excellent

The room was quite loud at night and the traffic noise was noticeable coming through the windows. This is likely because it is an older building. Still not too bad.

The person looking after the motel was not on site constantly but when there was a power cut she was there promptly and apologised and informed us what was going on. Clean and spacious rooms Good shower

A bit dated furniture but great value for money.

The apartment was very spacious and perfect to have a rest after finishing the Tour Aotearoa. The little kitchen was perfect to make your own breakfast, coffee and tea was provided. You can reach the next supermarket on foot.

I booked this for my parents who were travelling from the north island. It was clean. Didnt need a netflix account to watch that. skylight in the bathroom was a bonus feature Modern Decor for an older motel.

No one in office between the hours of 2 - 8pm. Note left on door to advise the above. but that was due to staff shortages.
