Wonderful welcoming reception staff at the hotel for my daughters 10th birthday. I had requested that staff leave a happy birthday note in the room and their response to this request exceeded my expectations! Lovely clean rooms and dining facilities. There was surprisingly little street noise for a hotel in a city center.

The dining staff on the breakfast shift gave no pleasantries or smiles and talked amongst themselves more than acknowledging us, it made us feel we would rather have dined out for breakfast. Parking is offsite, but a short enough walk, I just wish I had known in advance so we could have planned better.

It was the first hotel I've been in since the start of the trip, so it was nice to have elevators and less chaos immediately outside my room. The shower was wonderful, the bed comfortable and the room perfect for what I needed.parking was a small distance away but secure, which was nice.

The pillows were either too fluffy or too flat, nothing in between. My room had a door to join with another room, and while I did not use it, it made me a little worried that someone would just enter my room that way.

Reception staff nice and happy to check us in early. Hotel in great location with parking round the corner. We were very happy with our suite on the 5th floor which was spacious and bright. Bath/shower room was exceptional. We ate in the onsite restaurant though pretty expensive was good with attentive staff

Normally not one to post negative comments I have to mention the overpowering chemical smell in the rooms coupled with noise from other rooms

Everything about the hotel met my expectations. The room size, cleanliness was excellent. I loved the floor fridge concept which I’ve never encountered in a hotel before. I thought it was a nifty concept and other hotels should do that. My only disappointment was the no air conditioning thing. Perhaps I stayed on the hottest day in Invercargill that day but it was very hot and it made my room very uncomfortable. So much so I couldn’t sleep inside my bed. Other than that I loved my stay and I have already recommended it to several others. If reception had offered me a fan then it may of gone some way to relieving the heat in the room despite the two windows being open fully.

Venue, close to town

We loved the venue, stayed 2 nights not one as planned because we liked the Hotel. Level 5. But with no air con in the rooms on extremely hot days we had to request a fan (which was tiny, we had it on top of stool and on top of table to get air flow) . Didn't sleep two nights because of heat AND then both nights the bar bottles emptied into the skip with one great big noise woke us twice too! Through the day with no air con we had windows open with curtains closed to try and keep cool.

The room was good and at least had a view albeit across a construction sight. Very clean light and airy when we were able to open the windows. Unfortunately, there were air con units running from morning until late at night on the building next door so we could not open the windows because of the loud noise. Once they turned it off we did but this wasn't until about 10.30 - 11.00 pm and also unable to turn the room heating down or off. Shows how warm the room was though as we visited in September and found it hot but at least you could open the windows as a lot of places you can't. The room staff were great and very accommodating. No problem with extra towels and toiletries when we asked. Also, the front desk was very helpful and approachable. It's not very often we use the in-house restaurants when traveling but we did in this case. The meals were very good, with a reasonable amount and value for money. All in all a good stay and would happily stay there again. (Footnote) we probably should've talked to staff about the aircon noise and the heater but by the time we realized we had already made ourselves at home. And we did like being a bit higher up, another room might not have had the same view.

We loved how central this hotel is , close to restaurants and shopping. Everywhere is within walking distance. The taxi rank is opposite the hotel so great if you are flying in. The hotel is very quiet and has a lovely bar and restaurant so no need to go out to eat. The food was delicious and staff were very attentive, nothing was too much trouble.

Because of the date, restaurants were mostly closed. But the taxi from the airport was so friendly and even went to get a wheel chair to help me get to my room. I have panic attacks and this trip was probably not a good idea but it turned out well. The little pub was full of nice people and I felt quite at home

The room was warm but it's Invercargill...It never gets really warm. They offered a fan but I loved the window open. Beautiful warm weather and great view of the town.

position,reasonable value, Fridge/freezer, cold water dispenser on most floors.Comfy beds. hot showers seperate toilet from bathroom.

Plastic cups and plastic milk pods must go through thousands into land fill. Must be more environmentally friendly option. Carpark in next street pain in the rain and if disabled esp as advertised as on site. Room doors heavy to open and slam shut, rude awaking when neighbours come home latish. No where to hang towels to dry we only had one towel rail.

I lost one of my diamond earrings. they went above and beyond to try to help me find it in the bedroom including emptying the vacuum bag. after we returned home they contacted me that they found it in the restaurant and they are sending it to me by courier. also we arrived before check in but they were so pleasant about it and allowed us to book in. the botanic gardens are right next door
