We stayed for two nights either side of doing the Rakiura great walk on Stewart island (something every Kiwi should do). The motel is great value, very large room, huge comfy bed, great shower pressure, great selection of tv and media viewing and full kitchen. What we enjoyed the most though was the warm, friendly, down to earth southern hospitality of the hosts. On the day of our last nights booking the ferry back from stewart island was cancelled in the last minute which was going to be a disaster for us. But a quick call with James at the motel and he said he would ferry our stored luggage to the airport the next day and cancel our booking for the night free of charge. Which was a really nice offer and helped us greatly. Luckily though, we managed to organise a chartered flight and made it back for the night to a hot shower, hot meal and comfy bed . We would happily stay at tower lodge again and fully recommend it.

The 4 of us girls! (We like to say!) Actually 69+, all agreed the beds were so cozy and comfy, just the best. Staff very helpful, one of the four left behind her samsung tablet under a pillow, and the kind owner rung to say, so luckily as women doing we were still shopping in invgill, so we able to go back and pick it up, she was very grateful, even tho she hadn't missed it, but would of when she got home! Thx for the stay, would recommend to others and would Def come back again!! And we beat the Aussies in netball!! Thx Viv and friends.😀😃

Wonderful welcome on arrival - even provided discount cards for potential eateries in the nearby area. Excellent services for maps of local and nearby areas (including our planned route to Dunedin). The onsite laundry was very convenient and fairly priced compared to external laundromats. Always great to be able to park right outside our room. Kitchen facilities were well stocked and suited our needs. Would definitely stay here again.

An excellent, very comfortable, spacious and welcoming motel. The spa bath in the unit was a welcome bonus and a lovely way to relax after the day's travelling and exploring the Southern region. The property is very well situated and within easy walking distance of the beautiful gardens of Queens Park, also within easy driving of the shops, eateries, the airport and Southern Touring Route. All are ground floor units with parking in front of your unit. The prices are very reasonable and great value for money.

The place was beautifully clean and the owner was extremely good. The apartment and room both had everything one needs for a small home away from home. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and advised us on what places to visit. He was very kind, friendly and professional. I highly recommend both the place and the staff.

Check in and out were easy. Staff kind and helpful. work space in room good. Temperature was great although I am not sure how because -1degree outside and I didn't have my heater on at night! Water was hot. bed was comfortable.

Bathroom was fine...personal choice I prefer a shower that isn't in the bath but not a major. room with the toilet in was a bit cold concrete, felt a little cell like... but again not a amajor.

Invercargill is unlike Dunedin in the fact that it is more spread out over a wider area. I carn't say the Tower Lodge is a stone's throw from the Town Centre BUT the Tower Lodge is close to other major attractions i.e The Bill Richardson Transport Centre, Ascot Racecourse, PAK & SAVE, Countdown etc Hop in the car & the Town centre is a short couple of minutes drive away, depending on the traffic. The Tower Lodge is good clean & affordable accommodation, which if I return to Invercargill for the Ascot Races I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

The shower was a step up & inside of a bath & very slippery (possible bath matt needed). Also the shower head had a leak out of the side which lessened the pressure a wee bit & the shower head holder needed tightening. All minor stuff but wanting some attention.

The owners are lovely and very helpful with local knowledge and discount vouchers. Loved the location, it was very close to everything we wanted and the extra exit to the rear street makes getting to Queens Park a lot easier by car. The room was comfortable and very quiet. I'm not usually a motel person, but this place made me rethink my strategy going forward. I also loved that we could leave out excess luggage at the motel while we had a couple of nights over on Stewart Island.

Was a great spot for the night and could of had multiple days without a concern. Lovely owner/managers who had great insight into local and surrounding areas, would highly recommend a stay if you're passing through Invercargil. The photos were exactly as the rooms turned out to be, unlike many other accommodation places we had just stayed.

We absolutely loved the Tower Lodge Motel. It made our stay in Invercargill absolutely perfect! We loved loved the view of The Water Tower across the road & especially when it was lit at night. The 2 bedroom unit we stayed in was amazing…very clean warm modern & very spacious…we loved the kitchen dining lounge area…bedrooms ohhhhhh & the spa bath was heaven. Everything about our stay at Tower Lodge Hotel was amazing…The staff were very helpful & friendly. We would only stay here in Invercargill & will definitely come back & stay again. Thanks for making our time here AWESOME! 💕💛💕
