in a great location, beautiful setting, we actually heard a kiwi at night! staff friendly and helpful. 11 of us stayed here, 2 people in double rooms, 3 in a single room and the other 2 couples were allowed to park their motor homes up. The common kitchen was put at our use so we were able to be together in the evenings.

Ramps and stairs leading to the rooms was slippery in the wet weather which is why we rated 9 instead of 10.

The room was very clean, bed comfortable, the surroundings were beautiful, was great to not hear traffic all night. Due to our situation it was very hard for us to find somewhere that was pet friendly. Although Woodlands is not pet friendly they were so great with assisting us with our fur baby who slept in his inclosed bed on the deck which was not far from our bed. Pool was beautiful too. Highly recommend Woodlands!

We arrived after closure of reception but received a text message advising what to do and everything worked fine. The room was warm, clean and comfortable.

The facilities seemed a bit 'tired' - the road in was potholed, and a light fitting was missing in the bathroom, but none of those affected the comfort of the stay. The room lacked a sink for washing the dishes used, so the bathroom basin was used, although we could have used the shared kitchen.

The back deck overlooking the Bush was beautiful, even a Tui was feeding, great location off the main road and on the edge of town, fantastic water pressure in shower. Beautiful comfy king size bed and nice crispy sheets. Definitely book again.

A little hard to find the entrance as we arrived late at night and the dark sign was off the road a bit, found it a bit hard during the day as well. A few arrows or signs down the drive to show the way would be helpful as we had no idea where we were going. But this is a minor detail.

Great place to stay, surrounded by trees and birds. We arrived abiut 7pm and there was an after hours person who helped me get my key, and there were directions to the room in there. We had a private room with balcony. It was very comfortable and had microwave, toaster, cutlery and crockery so you could make breakfast and reheat meals. There is also a hot spa but we didn't use it. We have stayed here before and really like the serene atmosphere with no noise.

Location was walking distance to everything notable in Kerikeri. Stone store and restaurants, supermarket. Friendly cat. Great price. Large unit, space for family and luggage

It was a little noisy, sleeping next to the glass doors wasn't pleasant. Perhaps thicker curtains or a noise level restriction after 10.30 would be nice

I loved how the room was surrounded by woodlands (hence the name). It was absolutely beautiful, especially with the native birds flying around. We also loved the friendly motel cat who came into our room to visit us each day!

We were in the room right at the end and the WiFi didn't reach our room so we had to use our Mobile Data. They need a WiFi Extender. The shower took a very long time to heat up and was only luke warm.

Lovely staff, beautiful bush setting, great location close to town. Room was perfect for our overnight stay. Nice and quiet. It was very hot and we had a fan, but air con would have been great.

Outside area's would be super gorgeous with an upgrade. Insect screens would be a good addition to windows and doors.

Liked that there was a pool and covered area. The location was safe for our kids. The motel wasn't booked out and was pretty much just us there for the Christmas weekend. We loved it and the kids loved it. Besides the toilets everything was awesome.

Very comfortable large bed / first impressions - Clean and fresh Well organised for later arrivals - we arrived around 6-30 pm love the quiet bush background / but missed the restaurant experience, but would be happy with the menu we saw . The staff were both friendly and helpful . The shower pressure was good but noted the door did not seal - missing seals Happy with our visit . John and Diane from Whangarei

No dislikes at all - as mentioned - the shower door seal was missing , but was not a problem , Sky Tv was a nice bonus
