Immaculate room. Awesome hosts! They were very knowledgeable about the area and where to dine. Cafe 45 does great coffee and salmon bagels! The room has everything you need for a stay away from home. Very warm with the heatpump. Gorgeous view of the snow-capped mountains. Fantastic location, a short walking distance to the town centre, a couple of minutes drive to the hot pools and about 15 minutes to Stavely ice skating rink.

Our bed did feel like it was due to be replaced, squeaked with movement when sleeping, but otherwise we will be back!

Gorgeous location. I was able to walk down the road to a night food market which had a great atmosphere and lovely food. So close to the mountain!! Even though it was closed for skiing, you just walk outside and see glorious snowy mountain views everywhere. The rooms were warm and spacious and well set out. The hosts were very friendly, and informative about things to do in the area. One of the highlights of our stay was discovering Stavely Outdoor Ice skating! Once a naturally formed frozen pond but now it's been upgraded and permanently frozen. You can hire skates and there was a sausage sizzle on the go too. I met a lady who'd been going for 49 years!! I love the history.

We hired a std family room and it was just perfect. 4 adults and 2 littlies, we just wanted a place to land together after gathering (from out of town) for a family bereavement. The unit was spacious with great kitchen facilities, full fridge, great bathroom and lots of lovely comfy beds! Super clean and well presented, just what we were after. A short walk to Opuke Thermal pools, and the delightful Enchanted Forest Walk and just far enough away from the bustle of the main street. Warren and Leslie were such friendly, accomodating hosts, very helpful and willing to chat about local entities. We were unable to find a cottage on other sites without a 'minimum nights stay' and so this was the perfect and very welcome option for us. We only had one night to enjoy away - glad we chose Methven!

The room was clean and comfortable. The location was great - central to everything. The staff were friendly, helpful and responsive. We appreciated having laundry facilities available. The beds were comfortable and the kids loved the DVD library at reception.

The single beds felt a little wobbly. It would have been helpful to have a heater in both bedrooms and the duvet covers could do with updating (they were warm, but looked very dated).

Wonderful room. They had some extra availability and moved me from the room I had booked to another room a bit further from the road. Laundry on site with great drying area in the yard. Very close do downtown. Very clean and owners were very pleasant and friendly.

Big room with plenty of space including a sitting area. Wifi worked and the sliders brought in good lighting. The couple who run it were very nice and helpful.

Not too much. It's close to town but not in the main area ... which means driving to eat. Fine by me, but might be something to think about for a traveler without wheels.

staff were lovely and helpful. They had a bath which I enjoyed - didn't get any other places on our trip that had a bath. the local town was great to explore too.

it was clean to a certain level, it could do with a dust higher up and the curtains had some mold. my bed wasn't comfortable unfortunately. I think a spring popped or else something shook the bed while I was asleep. It wasn't a quiet room (not that I remember requesting that) we were number 1.

Location Was great easy walk to town & quick exit to ski field in the morning. Friendly service even after the busy school holidays. Provided a large pot when requested. Great bath with plenty of hot water.

No large cooking pot and knives blunt. Otherwise great for a skiing holiday for four adults.

EVERYTHING! I was blown away by Methven. I had not returned there for years and regret that now. We will definitely be back. What made it so enjoyable was how nice the motel was to come back to. It was clean, modern and the hosts were such nice people. Being able to take our two grandchildren and two dogs made the experience so nice.

Absloutely nothing. I cannot fault the experience staying here.

Good location, close to town and the thermal pools. The owners were lovely and allowed us to leave our car parked there during the day after we checked out while we were skiing. They were kind enough to leave a toy the kids had left in the room on the front windscreen waiting for our return.
