Beautiful accommodation & very well appointed in the Stables part of the Estate surrounded by lovely grounds & the historic homestead.

Sadly it didn’t feel very welcoming & rules that made you feel like you couldn’t enjoy the beautiful surrounds but we did appreciate the early checkin. We would’ve loved to have had some interaction with the owners or even a peek in the stunning homestead & a couple of eggs from the cookhouse, next to our accommodation, would have been nice touches to make it an absolutely perfect stay!

Great relaxing setting. Lots of grounds to explore. Love how it was dog-friendly. The staff (who we met on the grounds) were lovely and friendly. The host even dropped our cable off for us in Christchurch (as we had forgotten it). This is above and beyond customer service. The fireplace was set and easy to use.

Understand it is a self-check-in farm stay and like any farm cottage, do expect a few blowflies however, there were a few in the bedrooms before we arrived, which my partner cleared up when we arrived. Appreciate short of staff but can use a stick vacuum to clear an hour before guests arrive. Otherwise, the place is lovely and comfortable and do recommend.

Fantastic farm cottage stay in a quiet, authentic, country location. Very clean and very comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen with everything you could need. Log burner style fireplace that made the cottage so warm and welcoming. Surrounded by chickens, cows, and other farm animals. Perfect relaxing property. So good we didn't want to leave!

Directions to the cottage could have been better. Maybe a simple line-drawing map would help. Parking was a bit awkward. Not sure why each cottage didn't have a designated area, there was plenty of room to do so.

More attention paid to the finer touches such as ensuring laundry detergent topped up. Shower gel would be a good addition. If I recall, it says that toiletries are provided. I’m sorry if this is incorrect.

LOCATION WAS BEAUTIFUL ,HOUSE JUST LOVELY WITH TEA AND COFFEE PROVIDED.ROOMS REALLY NICE AND COMFY BEDS . STUNNING GROUNDS TO PROPERTY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR MORE THAN ONE NIGHTS STAY AS WE WOULD HAVE LOVED TO JUST SIT IN THE GARDEN AND RELAX

The absolute serenity and peaceful surroundings. Loved being so far away from the pace and noise of everyday. The evening meal was spectacular and of the highest quality. Being surrounded in the Edwardian environment made it perfect!! We felt very under dressed and wished we’d made the effort to dress up Edwardian even to absorb the atmosphere totally!

We were in the Granary but constantly conscious of our neighbours next door their noise of talking and moving about carried so easily. So that meant ours would be far worse; this did take the edge off our total relaxation.

The cottage was filled with rustic charm and was roomy, homely and warm. The beds were super comfy and all the linen was crisp and fresh. We self catered and found the Kitchen well equipped with everthing we needed to prepare meals.

Beautiful grounds and well maintained. Had dinner & breakfast there. Food was amazing especially the pasta. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The accommodation was lovely & had an Italian feel about it.

It is about 30 mins from Methven so make sure you’re well stocked up with food

We got lost. I should have read the instructions given by the owner. I did not check the email until its too late. GPS is wrong.

loved it. great property. super clean and comfy. easy checkin and very covid safe. warm and love the actives and cards. property is beautiful. would have loved to have had the offer for breakfast or dinner as we didn’t know until too late! only because it looked so amazing and we read comments in the guest book, if you’re booking, make sure you organise meals through them as well as it all sounds divine!
