loved how smooth the check in process was. the guy working that day was super friendly. also cracked some jokes with us. loved that there was parking everywhere especially near our rooms. rooms were beautiful and always clean. had the best time there. my aircon broke down and I was taken care of straight away. the restaurant was amazing and so was the breakfast buffet. exceptional service given at the hotel! will definitely be staying there again when I visit Ashburton again

We had deluxe king and it was a nice size room and faced inwards to the gardens. The sun shone on opening the curtains in the morning which was great Comfy pillows, bed was medium comfort (not too hard or soft). We had the breakfast inhouse in the morning in restaurant. Very good value - $21 for a cooked buffet breakfast, $27 for full buffet with cereals and fruit etc, or you can just have continental for cheaper. Breakfast buffet was very delicious. Good to get from our room at one end to the other end and conference room internally. Plenty of good parking

It took me ages to find the wifi password. It was advertised everywhere on posters as free but password was only listed on a small card on the room folder!

Check in was friendly, fast and straight forward. My room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was tidy and clean and a dark coloured face washer for 'make up removal' was appreciated. The hotel is located in a quiet location but close to SH1. My room looked out on to a well maintained garden. When attending concerts in Christchurch I always stay in Ashburton overnight. I always look for well appointed and well priced accommodation. The hotel well and truly met my needs.

Lack of a microwave oven in the room

The meal at restaurant both nights was great, my daughter and I really enjoyed our meals, plus nice staff thanks. Great room, had everything we needed!! It's nice looking out into garden, plus we had the cute Black & White cat at door for a wee pat :)

The bathroom, just the shower door and shower head could do with a little fit, that's all everything else was good.

All the staff we had contact with were friendly and helpful. Our room was reasonably spacious with a super comfy bed. The Hotel was only one block from the main road but our room was very quiet.

We couldn't get the heat pump to do anything but blow cold air. Some instructions would have saved us bothering a staff member. We didn't have breakfast at the Hotel as we felt the prices were very high.

I loved how accommodating and friendly the staff were. We had locked ourselves out of our room and they were so patient and kind to us.

I didn't like that there was no jug to fill the kettle. I had to use my water bottle to transfer the water from the sink in the bathroom to the kettle. Minor though wasn't too much of a hassle

Great room, very comfortable bed, meal in hotel restaurant absolutely brilliant. Wonderful staff, very quiet location.

Only 90mls of milk (6 x 15ml capsules) everywhere else I've stayed provide 300mls of milk. A good 10 to 15 second delay with the sky TV remote when selecting a channel or looking at the guild to see what's on, very annoying.

Front desk super-helpful, handling complicated end to our stay with aplomb. Shower old style but effective. Meal at market price and fine. Parking very handy.

TV required on-off at the set on the wall, and volume fixed - yes, we know, need to consider neighbours. Fix the volume a little higher, perhaps?

We didn't expect a huge amount for the very reasonable price, but were pleasantly surprised during our stay. The room was spacious and well equipped, and the breakfast was great. The on-site restaurant was also excellent. All-in-all great value for money and a pleasant stay.

All went well. Staff friendly and helpful. Meal in restaurant was lovely and good prices. heating and air conditioning great. Liked that the fridge was bigger than the usual hotel sized fridges.

Absolutely fine for our needs for the weekend.
