Having accommodation at the pub we were visiting for a party booking was great. We did wish to say a special thanks to the woman who waited on our table, a young lady from Scotland. She was very efficient, polite, fun and a happy person. Great band - The Mavericks

Some of the younger bar staff could benefit from some PD in customer service, needing a bit of encouragement to speak nicely and kindly to older customers at closing time.

Very friendly staff and easy check-in. There is an open kitchen and seating both inside and on a balcony for all guests, which was very nice. The shared bathrooms were extremely clean and very private (individual shower stalls that could be locked). Perfect not only for backpackers but also for families! Very close to the hot pools, which we recommend as well (2 hours is enough though if you are there with kids)

Great location, nice and close to the lovely new hot pools. Friendly staff and good pub food. Very comfy beds and great value for money.

Would have preferred an ensuite however the communal toilets and showers were clean and fine. There was a lot of noise from the pub, especially around closing time but then it was a hot night so we had all the windows open. It would not deter me from staying again as overall we had a great experience.

If you want 5 Star accommodation, perhaps not for you. BUT… if you want a decent bed for the night, very clean rooms, really good pub food and excellent beer, friendly staff, use of a kitchen (including cooking facilities and fridge) in the centre of town, and all at reasonable cost, you can’t do much better!

Downsides? Nothing really. It was good value for money so very happy!

This is the second time I've stayed at the Blue Pub, it's great value for money for solo travellers wanting a single room to themselves, does exactly what you need it to do for a one night stay and it's great to have a kitchen to make breakfast in the morning. Even on a weekend there wasn't any noise coming from the pub below so I got a great night's sleep.

Great location and friendly staff. Above a pub which is great if you stay til closing time!

Someone took my breakfast from the communal fridge so I wouldn’t recommend using that facility. Take some ear plugs if you’re looking for an early night.

Room & facilities adequate, warm & comfortable

Cold white lightbulb in bedroom. Should be warm white in relaxing areas, cool white in kitchen & bathrooms. No plugs for washroom basins - couldn't shave. Also risky rinsing cantact lenses without a basin plug.

I had enjoyed a meal at the Blue Pub on a previous visit but knew that the location was ideal for someone on a road trip. Great parking, friendly staff, really nice grub and a good atmosphere. The room was very cosy and I was impressed with the shower cubicles. Well run, very clean and a great price, too.

Vary comfy warm rooms. Shared kitchen kepy very clean. Location wonderful. Greatr communication. Great value. Highly recommend..

Friday and Saturday nights there is a band playing in the pub downstairs. Recommend going down and joining in the festivities. Other nights of week surprising very quite with no noise .

Check in was very easy. The rooms were warm and bedding was comfortable. It was also useful having access to a kitchenette.

There was live music in the pub till 1:30am so it made it rather difficult trying to sleep after a day of skiing when the floor was thumping. Just something to be aware of if booking for the weekend. There was also no soap in the bathrooms during the whole stay.
