Suppose to be a 5 stars hotel. Look at the view！！I've check in on 28th Dec 2022. The Lake view King size room is $770 and exactly the same as advertisement. So worthy！！1 mins to CBD 2 mins to lakeside. The lady at front desk is so friendly and always trying to help even at this busy Christmas period. But i am so-so sorry about forgetting to ask her name. There is another lady called Lilly at the bar. I asked her to warm up my take away foods at 10.30pm. She put them in a beautiful white plate，warmed them and covered them with stainless steel cover. That's just sosososo sweet. Crowne is 100% recommended！

nothing about the property as such. however it would be a good idea to let guests know that you’re going to take a deposit at the same time as charging the credit card for full payment. it was a surprise when more money went out of my account than had been quoted for.

Great location, easy level walk to everywhere in town and great starting point for day trips. Valet parking option was handy, though option to self park also. Room was spacious with lovely view over the town and lake and beds were super comfortable. Fabulous, buffet breakfast option offered variety of hot and cold dishes and is highly recommended. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant twice during our stay of 8 nights as there was a 2 course special deal on and the food was delicious and service was exceptional. Helpful concierge service available for ease of booking day trips with hotel pick up/drop off. Highly recommended!

Loved the location. Great amenities. Got chocolate on tap 😜 that was pretty cool! Absolutely shout out to one of the concierges! Was there the day we arrivied and seen him floating around the hotel most other days! Was so friendly and made us feel very welcome. Sorry I couldn’t remember his name!!

Staff didn’t know what they were doing. Breakfast staff were a bit rude. Asked for hollandaise sauce most mornings. We’re charged 4 dollars one morning. 1.50 the next. Free every other morning. The girls were quite rude and on our final day there one of the lady’s even tried to tell us where to sit. No reservations were made for anyone else. One of the girls who was in the ski room hire was absolutely so rude. We told her we lost our slip and she basically told us it’s not her problem and shut the door on us. One of the rooms we booked were ‘mountain view’ which was DOWNGRADED when we arrived with no refund for the money we had paid either to have a better room….

The staff at the front desk made our day EVERY day! They were so helpful and always happy and greeted you with a smile. They would answer any questions we had, no matter how dumb. They helped us get settled with some free NZ sims, always had a quick chat to us in the mornings when possible and honestly just gave the most fantastic experience. Even when busy and the hotel lobby looked a bit chaotic, they never showed that they were flustered. I absolutely LOVED the service we received throughout our stay. I was extremely excited to find out you had a pillow menu! I am someone who seriously cannot seperate well from my pillow, and to learn you had boomerang pillows (as we call them - I think you called them L shaped) I couldve cried haha. Honestly the service we received, I gave recommended The Crowne to so many friends and colleagues already!

The breakfast bar and options were okay, I think maybe more of a change up across a few days? The barista made coffee could also be improved. Obviously that may be a training issue or beans not fresh, pouring times wrong, burnt milk etc.

The service was great and so was the location. Team were super friendly and helpful. Lobby is beautiful. Easy to access town center if you stay there.

Bathroom wasn't as pictured, I got a room with a shower curtain and the shower water leaks out into the bathroom if you don't face the shower head toward the wall which doesn't exactly make it the nicest showering experience and the bath mat ends up soaked which is not very nice to step out onto. And the vanity was very low in bathroom. Bed was super hard and only had one soft pillow and stains on the bed spread which wasn't very nice.

The location is perfect close to wharf, shops and local bus stop right out front. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is okay and rooms a little outdated but comfortable. We had an amazing river view which was definitely worth paying extra for. We loved the hotel and would not hesitate to return.

Check in time is 3.00 pm and arrived after 5.00 pm as flights were delayed. We expected our room to be ready and to our surprise it was not. We were given a free drink at the bar but to be honest didn’t finish it as just wanted to get to our room. I requested an extra hour to check out which the reception lady gave us. However she neglected to tell me our entry cards needed to be re-coded as we were locked out of our room when returned to finish packing and checking out.

Fantastic hotel right the heart of Queenstown and on the flat ( no hills!). Directly across the road form the steamer wharf including the fabulous Pub On the Wharf and huge range of many top class eateries, many of which do all day brunches. Lovely big room with our own balcony and majestic mountain and lake views. Huge bonus for me was that they have their own coin operated guest laundry to use, a godsend when youve been travelling for some time. would stay again in a heartbeat.

Incredible location. Amazing service. Comfortable and accomodating! I would like to put the spotlight on someone working there and unfortunately I forgot her name but she is a young Asian girl who works at the reception desk. She has immaculate customer service and honestly deserves praise and a promotion. She was incredibly welcoming and warm to me (both over the phone the day before arrival and upon arrival) she exceeded my expectations and made me feel very comfortable as a first time solo traveller (to which she didn’t even know). So please pass on this message to her as I believe she is a key asset to your team and she is one of the main reasons I would come back to stay there!

It was clean but it could’ve been a bit better… the bathroom still had bits of hair in there from the previous person who stayed in there but as some one who has lots of hair, I understand how hard it is to clean every single hair. Also the air vents definitely need cleaning, the amount of dust in there is insane but I don’t believe it should be the cleaners fault or they should get paid extra to do that or hire an extra person for that job. Also my room phone was broken and I reported it and no one came and fixed it in the 4 days I was there.

Very comfortable room, except was hot and air conditioning not very efficient. Staff provided portable unit which was helpful, but you noisey to run at night. Exceptional location right opposite steamer warf. Very good buffet breakfast.

Thought I had booked breakfast included, was told at check in breakfast was not included and extra charge made. Then found my printed information, and breakfast waa to have been included. Staff member at check in seemed a bit confused. Senior staff member sorted it out for me layer. All other staff were excellent.
