Check in with Xuan (I believe that was the spelling) was amazing, they were super friendly and super helpful with telling us about the local amenities of the hotel. As someone who works at a hotel themselves, I do like to take note on how other staff greet guests, Xuan was a prime example. Beds were very comfortable, rooms were a good size.
Internet was quite bad some nights, it would connect and then just not load anything, i called reception and they told me to just turn off my phone or forget the network, didn’t help. I believe the shower may have been leaking as every time we took a shower there would be a huge puddle all over the floor.

We were in a inward facing room, so didn't get the view of the lake and the mountains but that was ok as we did ski everyday and only used the room during evening/night time. The hotel is close to the city, easy reachable with a car and for the fit ones, easy to walk to town as well if one likes a 20-30 min walk.
Restaurant was rather expensive. Breakfast had only a mall option of either continental ($29) or all buffet (35?). The bar did serve coffee and a mini croissant but otherwise one had to get the buffet option. I would be great to have a la carte breakfast for those ones who don't normally eat a whole buffet but still like to enjoy some breakfast.

Happy with undercover parking with decent-sized parks, the swimming pool and quieter location. Handy bus stop over the road for a quick ride down the hill into town, otherwise a pleasant 10 minute walk with a view. Beautiful gardens and well-thought out layout of rooms and amenities. Huge breakfast selection of cooked items and muesli, yoghurt etc. super friendly helpful staff.
Felt a little dated. One complementary drink voucher between three guests - but perhaps that’s to encourage purchases at the bar :) Springs on one side of the bed a bit buggered - definite sinking feeling.

Wow! We were given a view of the lake which was just incredible first thing in the morning. Sometimes you get what you pay for, we knew going in that it was a little more expensive on our road trip for two nights but it was well worth it. We had two suites adjoining - one for our children and one for us. There is a pool and gym on site and the rooms are simply luxurious.
It's at the top of a hill so walking might be difficult for those less able, and Queenstown is a busy place so driving down the hill and finding a park might be tricky. However this wasn't an issue for us as we happily took the stroll to the centre, enjoying the views on the way.

Loved the staff, so friendly! Loved the view from the room.
Did not like the peeling wallpaper in the room, it felt really tired. The traffic noise from the road was atrocious, could not have doors or windows open. No where to easily charge an e bike. Carparking was overfull, if you were not back to the hotel by 5pm you could not get a park onsite. Have stayed here previously and it was great, need to be more specific about the location of the room. Not the staff fault at all, they were super lovely and made such an effort. The beds were far too soft, it was like sleeping in a hammock, another example of the tiredness of the facilities.

Reception staff were friendly at check-in and checkout. We had the buffet breakfast one morning, and I mentioned to one of the staff that it was my husband's birthday, and they brought him out a brownie with a candle in it. It was a really thoughtful gesture and one we weren't expecting. The sauna was nice and the gym looked well stocked and clean. There were lots of carparks and we were told where the overflow car parking was (just across the road) and told to let the reception staff know if we couldn't find a park and they'd help us.
If I was staying again or if I was a tourist visiting, I would book a room with a lake view. We're from New Zealand and visit Queenstown regularly, so weren't as disappointed with the view (of the forest), but I would have been if it was my first and last visit to Queenstown.

We love the view in our Lakeside room. We came here for our wedding and honeymoon, and we're so glad we chose Heritage Hotel. It was quiet and neat and the service was amazing! Also, it's just a few minutes walk with magnificent views around you to the town center. What we appreciate the most is how amazing all the staff is, for being so nice and helpful, especially the Filipinos we met, special shout out to Jeffrey, you are exceptional, and the rest of you guys. Thanks for everything and for looking after our luggage for a few days when we flew to Auckland. It was wonderful to have spent our most special moments with you!
Nothing really, but just a suggestion for improving the wifi connection in the room maybe. But we like everything else!

Rating: ★★★★★ I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hidden gem, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I entered my room, I was captivated by the breathtaking view it offered. The panorama of The Remarkables mountain range and the tranquil lake was simply mesmerizing, creating a serene backdrop that set the tone for a perfect getaway. The room itself was a haven of comfort, with thoughtful amenities and a cozy ambiance. Clean, well-appointed, and strategically located, it made for a delightful retreat after a day of exploration. What stood out to me was the proximity of the pool – just a stone's throw away. This convenient placement added an extra layer of enjoyment to my stay, providing a refreshing escape and a perfect spot to unwind. The attentive staff members contributed significantly to the overall positive experience. Their warmth and willingness to assist made me feel truly welcomed, enhancing the sense of hospitality that permeates this establishment. Whether you're a nature enthusiast drawn to the allure of The Remarkables, a fan of peaceful lakeside vistas, or someone who appreciates a well-designed room with easy access to recreational facilities, this place ticks all the boxes. It's a haven for relaxation and rejuvenation, and I can't wait to return to indulge in the tranquility and beauty that define this remarkable retreat.

The room was exceptional. Very clean and comfortable. Had everything you could ask for including a dishwasher, washing machine/dryer and the bed was next level comfortable. Everyday the cleaners made my room up fabulous again. The staff were amazing and very helpful. The spa was a delight. Overall the Hotel was 10/10.
The restaurant menu was below average for the look and comfort of the hotel. I feel this menu needs a bit of class. A Pie & Salad, is not restaurant worthy in my eyes. The barista needs a lesson or two. I ordered a Mocha, I’m afraid it was the worst Mocha I’ve ever had. If the restaurant made more restaurant food and not cafe/pub food, i would be very happy.

The bed was amazingly soft, but two twin beds pushed together is not a king bed. The room was nice and spacious and loved having a balcony. However, there was a problem with other guests being noisy at night time. Pool, gym and sauna facilities were great. Food service was great, but all food was very expensive (even for Queenstown). My partner had the "catch of the day" fish and chips and said it tasted like frozen, battered fish.
Meals could have been higher quality considering the price. Would have appreciated filtered water being placed on each floor, rather than just in reception.
