We were really comfortable staying for two weeks in The Sebel. The facilities are superb! All the things we need were provided. If we request for something, the staff will try to grant our request. The hotel is located few bus stops from the town center thus the neighborhood is quiet and most of the time people cannot be seen around. If you prefer busy neighborhood, I suggest to choose hotel in the Lambton Quay area.
Maybe it would be better that table in the room for three persons will be changed from two-seater table to three-seater to accommodate the third person. Only few restaurants are found in the vicinity of the hotel which close early.

It’s really new, and has everything you need (even though it’s packed into a small space). Staff are communicative and welcoming.
Being really new, some kinks are being worked out. The cleaners are a bit random; sometimes leaving the dirty bath mat on top of my clean towel, or making the bed with a smelly mattress cover (but they do fix things on request, and fast). The doors definitely need some kind of skirting solution, to stop the light and noise coming through the 2-inch gap from the floor. The strangest thing was receiving a notice of entry to the room via WhatsApp - I thought it was scammers, but it really was the hotel. Definitely need a more professional approach, than a random WhatsApp message!

Booked here because we were booked on BlueBridge but then decided to fly so not so convenient for us but we did then discover that this is in a great area. Easy walk to town, quiet! The studio had a small well equipped kitchen, we didn’t use it as we were only there for 1 night. Also we were welcomed with a pineapple juice and as my husband was very thirsty he was very appreciative of this.
All good, would have been good to have a restaurant but there are plenty of restaurants in area some with charge back facilities.

A very lovely, friendly and welcoming lady at the reception on the night we stayed - 30th March 2024. She called to check when we would arrive, I missed her first call but she called back later that night. When we arrived at night for check-in, she was even lovelier in person than I was expecting! We definitely need this kind of service at every accommodation! Thank you :) We found a park conveniently located right outside the hotel even though we reserved a carpark ($30?), but we needed to park somewhere in order to check-in right? The receptionist lady was very transparent about the cost and because we no longer needed the reserved hotel parking, she did no hesitate and deducted this from our booking. The hotel is a little out of the city, but only a few mins drive away, so would recommend if you have a car. Was very quiet despite it being next to a train station? The hotel was new and clean, the bed was comfortable, and the kitchen was well-equipped. The coffee machine even came with a couple of coffee pods! We booked the room with one king-sized bed, and according to the booking, it was for 3 adults. However, the receptionist did tell us they had made a sofa bed too, so that was lovely :) Great value considering it's a new (under 2 years old?) four-star hotel even though it's a little out of the city, and was during the Easter weekend! If you have a car, and want somewhere nice, would definitely recommend this place. Keep up the great customer service and cleanliness of the hotel! I only regret forgetting to check out the laundry room!

Overall very nice hotel, lovely clean room and the staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely recommend to friends and family! Only a short walk to town and easy uber back, really enjoyed our stay here.
There weren't any bathrobes in our room (advertised as included) nor a bath mat - although plenty of hand towels and so we used one of those on the floor. There were only 3 coffee pods (however the reception person was happy to give me more for our stay of two nights). I'm sure the robes and bath mat would have been remedied quickly if I'd remembered to ask as I passed through reception, but I forgot.

- The Sebel is a new, hotel/serviced apartment building that has only been open a few months. - Our one-bedroom apartment (Room 211) was spacious, clean and tastefully decorated. - The windows had double glazing so it was very quiet. - There is on-site parking, but there were usually free parking spaces outside the building, especially at night. - The apartment is next to Sky Stadium and would be an ideal place to stay if you are visiting Wellington for a game or concert - The staff were friendly and helpful and check-in was fast and hassle-free
I literally can't think of anything bad about this place. It is a little far from Te Aro, Wellington's entertainment area, and it is probably noisy when the stadium is in use.

The hotel was located within driving distance of the ferry which was our main reason for booking here. It's also about a 15 minute walk up to the Parliament area. You need to drive to get down to the wharf. We were given a free upgrade to a 6th floor suite as the 2nd floor disability access room wasn't great as it overlooked the work involving heavy mechanical diggers that was going on at the railway station. Decent comfort in the room - settee, little table and chairs to eat at. A few bits and pieces in the kitchenette. Withstood 4.7 magnitude earthquake while we were there
It's not in the greatest part of town but was convenient. Couldn't get the oven to work.

This is a newer property with a great location to the Ferry, which is the primary reason I booked the property. The staff was wonderful and the room was much larger/better than I expected. Its a 15 minute walk into town which isn't bad at all and close to the Botanic Gardens, which is a must see if you're visiting Wellington. Also, if you're walking at night its a very safe walk from downtown. Very convenient, clean and again the actual room exceeded my expectations. I was only in town for a couple of nights, but would definitely book this property again.
Nothing to mention.

VERY clean and modern. Great shower pressure. Coffee pods. Nice shower wash, Moisturiser etc. Big bed. Friendly staff. Nice view
The wind was blowing the extracter fan over the stove top which was noisey. The building was very noisey in the wind. Bed was quite hard. No smart tv options. No face cloths. The one bedroom units arnt really a room. They have glass sliding doors as walls which have see through panels top and bottom.

Access to an off street parking space was excellent, even for a $30 fee. The room was perfect. Upmarket, tidy and clean. Separate bedroom and ensuite, very very comfortable. Full cooking facilities, coffee pod machine & dish-drawer. Very friendly staff. Very close to Bluebridge Ferry terminal.
City hotels… You often come to them on a busy street & it’s a hard thing trying to find parking or a gap across into the parking garage.
