The staff were friendly, attentive and always helpful. Breakfast was warm with a good variety of drinks including a variety of coffees and juices.

The breakfast didn't have any type of pastry even though it states they have croissants. Some yougurt would also be appreciated.

The room was nice, was a free upgrade from Booking so the room was big. The location was perfect for us as it was a walkable distance to everywhere, so we enjoyed that, plus, 20 for the car space and you can go any time is a huge thing in Wellington city, so it was very convenient. The receptionist was super SUPER friendly and very very kind. The toiletries were enough (they always give you some but not enough for 2 people) we had 1 of each, body wash, conditions and shampoo. The towels were clean and they left us hand towels, all very nicely presented. The bed was huge, as promised and the bedsheets were clean and white, it had a mini fridge that was very clean and they left us some small milk in case we wanted tea/coffee. Just in front of the hotel, there is a dairy so that was very handy, and also around the corner, you get a supermarket.

The cleaning was... not bad, but it wasn't spot-clean. Some stings in the bathtub didn't feel clean enough. In the shower, I felt that the pressure was not good enough and took me a while to wash myself as the water was barely pouring... and I have long hair. When we opened the windows the safety hook was broken so the wind made me think that I may lose the window at some point. The curtains have some big spots with yellow... not very appealing to the touch. There was no aircon, but have a fan. I tried to open the window for a while and I had to close it as the gap in the door kept making noise and couldn't sleep.

Room was spacious and location excellent - easy to wander into town, Cuba Street etc. Although an older hotel, it met all our needs for a last minute booking for a funeral. Staff were excellent and reserved parking for our larger vehicle which we really appreciated as parking for large utes are difficult to find. Would return for that alone! Breakfast was also great with plenty of choice both cooked and continental.

More seating, wardrobe space (was small but adequate for quick stay) or somewhere to put our luggage rather than the floor. But those are minor things.

Room and facilities were nice and tidy, the bedding was excellent and the sheets felt high quality, with comfy mattress and pillows. Room was reasonably quiet for the CBD. Provided parking was on site – surprisingly – and super convenient, especially compared to many other hotels we have stayed at in Wellington over the years. Staff was friendly and helpful. Good value overall, and we would stay again.

The fan in the bathroom didn't work, or perhaps was passive??? we couldn't hear it running, but there was very little shower steam so perhaps it was passive (so we never mentioned it to front desk). We travelled in spring, so the room was comfortable, but we didn't see any air conditioning (the heating panel did have a fan setting), so a summer stay might be much less comfortable. Took us 15 minutes to find the switches for the lights above the beds (hidden behind the mattress), which made all the difference in our ability to see anything in the sleeping half of the room. The beds rolled quite easily at the slightest nudge – might have been good to have the wheels in a locked position – I nearly fell on the floor when I first tried to sit down on mine and the bed rolled away. LOL.

Room was very spacious and cozy with the heater. Noise from the street in the evening traffic dies down very quickly and is generally very quite, especially from other patrons. The bed was soft and the heater heated the room efficiently. The room also had good ventilation. The location was perfect as i wanted something on the periphery of the city, a very short walk away. It helped that there was a dairy nearby and an awesome Chinese restaurant. It was also awesome that the gym was in-house and that breakfast was folded into the room rate. An all around awesome experience.

There is nothing that i didn't like. It was perfect value for money. I had hoped though that the self service laundry was open 24/7 however, it closes at 9 PM. This is fine.

The place is ok, We book a triple room. The building is old but clean and has an ensuite bathroom. The buffet breakfast is a bonus plus the staff is super accommodating he even gave us croissants! Yay 😊. The downside is their coffee is lukeward but they have hot water for hot choc or tea. There is a limited parking space so make sure to reserve in advance. The hotel location is within the cbd, heaps of restaurants and bars within walking distance. The room is not soundproof though and there are students loitering in the hallway that is very noisey super late at night. Not the hotels fault heheh.

Lovely hotel, neat, tidy and comfortable, great staff and a great breakfast. Probably one of the best stays we have had in Wellington in the modest price bracket and better than a few that are $30-$50 dearer. Will definitely consider it again when next in Wellington. Added bonus is the hotel is only a 5-10 minute stroll to some of the best restaurants in Wellington.

Not the fault of the hotel (and common in Wellington these days) but the road crew using heavy machinery from 1.30 am to 5.00 am just below our window made for a somewhat disturbed sleep.

I liked how approachable the staff were and their friendly, helpful attitude. We were really surprised at the complementary breakfast!! It was far more than we expected and was very appreciated! Just what we needed as we had a full-on day ahead of us. The bed was nice and warm and comfortable and we slept well, which is also important when you've got a busy schedule to keep up with. With limited mobility, the lift was a welcome asset.

The bathroom has a couple of places that could do with some maintenance, namely the wall where paint is broken and warped and the ceiling had spots of black mold but otherwise the basin, bath/shower and loo were very clean. The loo was very close to the hand basin but okay. The access into the building would be better if there was a ramp on one side instead of the two sets of steps, when mobility on stairs is difficult.

We were on the fifth floor, well above the street so traffic noise was minimal. The bed was comfortable, and the shower was very good. The room layout was great - with a wall-mounted wardrobe that doesn’t have doors in the way, this was the first time I have automatically used a hotel wardrobe on an overnight stay. The small desk also meant I was able to easily get some work done in the evening. There is a good Chinese restaurant half a block down the road, and a dairy across the road that was open until 11pm.

There was no shampoo or conditioner in the room. We purchased some from the nearby dairy. The entire building has one slow elevator, which is probably not a problem if the hotel isn’t busy! It was quite busy on this visit so sometimes we waited a few minutes for it.

Yay for clean, comfortable beds and ensuite rooms and breakfast included! Every single staff member was happy and approachable, from our check in, to cleaning staff to restaurant. Special mention to Memory, who was a smiling welcome as we arrived and also happily settled us into the lounge after our check out to wait out the weather until our flight. Congratulations Willis Wellington your staff are a credit to you!

Although the decore is a little tired in places, this is a great value central accommodation option and ticked all the boxes for me!
