The one bedroom apartment was spacious and warm. The bed was super comfortable, and the sheets were crispy clean. All the communications with reception were clear and very friendly. The location is great; close to eateries and a fishery, a couple of convenience stores that were all open on a Sunday evening (7:30ish). We drove - a couple of minutes - because we weren't sure what we were bringing back and didn't want to walk uphill (it is in central Wellington, and we aren't 'hill hardened' 🙂 ) but an easy drive with no tricky 1 way streets to navigate.

Our only concern was the shower door not closing properly, resulting in a river of water flowing through the kitchen!

Loved the coffee plunger, loved the fact they had electric blankets, make-up remover, ironing board & iron, 2 induction cooktops...great view at night. Lady at desk was very helpful

That the electric blanket had been pulled right over my side so only the side and underneath the mattress were heating - hubby & I had to pull it back over but the top tie down was broken but we got there! If you leave before opening time we left at 6am you can only get the lift to floor 1 then need to walk down a flight of stairs. Not great when you use a cane. Also one of the outer windows had a crack in it yet we were upgraded to one of these new rooms. Then someone had parked so close to our car, my 65yo hubby had to climb in through the drivers door... Don't get me wrong we did enjoy our stay.

Super accommodating staff. We were originally getting in after hours and then our flights got delayed further. Incredibly helpful in getting us into our rooms. Beds were really comfortable. Far enough out of the CBD to not get any noise but close enough to still walk if desired. Lovely city views. On-site free parking which is something most places in wellington don't offer.

With reception being closed, after hours requires use of a flight of stairs to the first floor to get a lift from there. Wasn't an issue for us but may be one for those with mobility issues. Especially late at night.

Absolutely incredible host. So friendly and welcoming. She made me feel so safe as a woman traveling alone this means alot. Room was cosy and I love that my dishes were done and bed made everyday magically I arrive back and everything is beautiful. I stayed for 3 days and it was great!

The lights at night in my windows were very bright. Lucky I brought an eye mask but it was still quite bright through the curtains. I will ask for a darker room away from the carpark lights next time. This is just me as I live out of the city so probably wouldn't bother everyone.

Really great location. With lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Athena was very accommodating with us having an additional guest. And the on site parking was well appreciated. The beds were very comfortable.

The shower was a bit small, and water pressure was not very strong. At night the parking lot lights are quite bright. And the curtains in our room dont quite block out all the light.

Was good to come into a nice clean room. I came in after hours, communication was fantastic. Person on the phone explained the process to me, then followed up with a text. Was easy to find my room. Nice size TV with free Netflix etc. Felt like a home rather than a cheap hotel. Bed was comfortable. Nice soft pillows. Parking was easy even though it was tight. Overall a great experience for the short amount of time I was there

Nothing really to be honest. The only thing I can think of is maybe a small bar of soap for the bathroom sink, and maybe some small travel size body wash and shampoo for the shower. But to be honest this is no big deal to me as I usually bring my own stuff

Really easy to find. Great location, very close to the city centre. Very comfortable room. Serviced daily.

Ground floor access locked at times A bit difficult at times to drag luggage etc up and down the stairs, but I understand this was done for security purposes.

We had the last ferry from picton n were arriving late at wellington. Capital view is located in the city,near ferry terminal. Also the property allowed us in at the LA hours. We stayed on the 3rd floor,the city view was mindblowing,from the kitchen the green hills of welly were visible and the front windows city lights popped in. The place is spacious,clean and well lit. The kitchen is fully equipped. We had late dinner and then an early bfast before checkout. I managed to get my laundry done too. I really enjoyed my stay at capital view motor inn.

The off-street parking was excellent and the host was warm and welcoming. We had all the basic amenities that one would require and the room was quite large.

Most of the facilities are outdated and there is a need to upgrade. This might already be happening as there were some works happing in the same floor we were on. The property is within walking distance to supermarkets and restaurants but be aware that that the property is on a hill with a huge elevation and it was tough walking back to the property.

Great location only a few minutes walk to Cuba street, you can walk anywhere within the city centre from here which is ideal and it's only a 10 minute drive to the ferry terminal. Spacious rooms with all the needed amenities. Friendly staff and great views out over the city from the upper floors.

A bit of city noise as should be expected for a central location. Slightly dated facilities but all perfectly functional. Would definitely stay again!
