A beautiful, funky place to stay in an excellent location with friendly and wonderful staff. You're right on the tip of the action on Cuba St without being in the noisy centre.

The single twin beds are tiny - if you're bigger or move a lot in your sleep you'll be falling out. The carpets are new, lovely and lush but if you're a little sensitive with allergies this may cause a little issues. Being small bathrooms without windows, the cleaners should empty bins when they do room service and also air out the main room for a bit too. Other than that, it was a wonderful place to stay.

Very central location. All staff v pleasant. Nice relaxing area downstairs which is nice to hang out in or to get away to from bustle of street. Complimentary jars of sweets at reception..a nice touch. Fridge in room with complimentary cans of drink and choc bars..they were appreciated. Hotel has an indoor swimming pool which I didn't use but good to know.

Very warm weather during stay which was great. Fan in room had limited effect. Room very warm at night so greatly reduced level of comfort. Air con would have helped. Room size just about sufficient for one person even though it was a twin room.. Air con would have helped. It is my second time staying at hotel and most likely would return.

Room was smaller than expected but very comfortable. EV charging was a bonus and the onsite carpark was well lit. Reception staff were excellent, made sure we were okay even offered to show us the carpark. Breakfast was very good, you will pay a lot more at other hotels for similar.

Restaurant closed on Sunday and Monday. There are snacks you can order from the bar and there are a handful of restaurants nearby that are literally a stone's throw away. A little noisy, street can be a bit noisy, and you can hear when a neighboring room is running the shower.

This is a great hotel, rooms are not large but the hotels decor and staff and service plus dining and bar more than make up for it, great lower cost hotel, lovely beds and linen and super clean rooms. Themed like a "Shanghai Tang" style of decor. Large selection of lollies at check in and complimentary popcorn at the bar. Good beer selection from local Te Aro micro breweries nearby like Garage project. One of 12 hotels owned and operated by good Singaporean operator.

Rooms could be slightly larger but noting its a heritage building its totally understandable and fine. Rooms dont have AC but fans are very good and you can open windows for fresh air also.

I liked that both rooms were connected and we appreciated the over head fans as the weather in the Capital was warm. The location is ideal if you are wanting to frequent all the bars, cafes & restaurants in Cuba St and is in walking distance to other notable eateries and drinking spots including the entertainment hub for the city We parked our car onsite for two days at a rate of $30 and our Lexus LS460 stuck out from its parking spot. Better suited to smaller vehicles and the EV stations is a welcome addition for visitors. We didn't book the breakfast option with our accomodation as we wanted to visit Olive and Floriditas instead. Sadly Olive wasn't open on our last day so we visited the onsite restaurant, which served a buffet breakfast at $28 a head. The meal was very good and is highly recommended. Overall, we enjoyed our two stay with Naumi and are looking forward to staying again and for a longer period. The studio option is good or good enough if you just want to put your head down and the end of a busy day. I don't feel there is a need to spend more money on the hotel side for a more refined experience. Thanks Team...Cheers!

It would be nice if they had a portable pop table that you could use for laptop for work without the need to upgrade to a hotel room option instead. Clearer descriptions on your website for services available. We were told "laundry" was for dry cleaning only, so no onsite washing machine. It would be useful if a note saying that the car park area is better suited to smaller vehicles.

Friendly accommodating staff, complimentary nibbles in lobby, including soft drinks, complementary quality eco-friendly bathroom packs, quirky venue with interesting decor and is a great location on Cuba St. This is a high quality hotel that is lovely to stay at.

Unfortunately, there was a droning noise in our room from ceiling fan in room next door, in the middle of the night. Staff member was very quick to remedy this by moving us to another room. Credit card charge when paying by eftpos for car park. Also cost of carparking fee of $30 per night.

The property is stunning. From the reception area to the bar/restaurant and the rooms, it was all beautiful. I loved the personality of the hotel and the lovely extras (lollies at reception and free drinks in the mini bar (sparkling flavoured water). The place was stunning. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.

The main building is quite old (which adds to the charm) but it does lead to a lack of sound proofing. We had an interconnecting room and, although not the hotels fault, we had loud neighbours who talked a lot beyond 11pm. We were given another bed for the night but found the same issue as we had another interconnecting room so returned to our original room. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

Fit for purpose and central

We booked for my colleagues travelling from out of town via Booking.com. We initially called the hotel a month before the scheduled stay but they found it hard to find the booking. They finally found the booking minutes later and we’d given them the names of our colleagues staying there. On the day of the stay, we had a tight schedule that day, my colleagues came in around 4:30pm to check in and it took the hotel 30 mins to find the booking as they’ve mixed up the first and last names of the booking (my colleagues even had the booking number from Booking.com!).

Excellent location on Cuba street. Steps from excellent restaurants and bars. Easy to find and in a central district. Gave shaving kit and dental kit that were a nice touch. Beds were comfortable and the vibe is nice. Also has sparkling water and snacks at reception.

Parking was a little expensive at $30 a night, and Cuba Street was quite loud. Also the rooms are very small. Like a studio and make moving around a little hard. I feel like even adding 15% more space would have made a large difference.

I got a good deal (booked about six weeks ahead), so had quite low expectations, particularly as it was on Cuba St, it all seemed a bit too easy. So what was the catch? None, it was great, very clean, funky features mixed with old style class, very clean and reception staff were great (shout out to Connor, excellent front of house). Will certainly return on my next trip to Wellington, just hope my rare moment of forward planning can be repeated.

The mattress slid around on the base very easily, was a little odd waking up and finding the whole thing had slid about 30cm along the base. But didn't end up on the floor, so all good.
