I’ve stayed at three different rooms at this place so know what to expect. The rooms on the ground level wirh shared bathroom, room ten is way more spacious but can be noisy from the adjacent laundry. Issues with mould and damp in bathroom have now been sorted from a year ago. It is a good price for one night in Wellington if you need to be close to upper Tory and Cuba St. Hot tip: you can park in coupon parks in Mt Vic a ten min walk away between 6pm to 10am. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for somewhere that is a bit nicer than a hostel but it is no longer that original boutique setup it was pre covid

The front door didn’t seem to be locked at any point this trip, with the ground floor bedrooms this means the shared bathroom would be accessible all evening. I had asked about a car park and had no response. All the messages felt automated.

U-Boutique is in a good location and a quiet st. It was good to have breakfast options available

The rooms are small if there are two people with little room for luggage. Also only stairs available which is a consideration if you have a big/heavy bag. The bathroom is shared with 2 other rooms. On the first night nothing worked - a fuse had broken. The staff were quick to fix though. Would have been good to have another blanket available for a winter night.

Totally loved the room. Nice and big. Great bed, so comfortable. Appreciate the WiFi although we had trouble on only one other device, had to hot spot. All facilities were great. Was really nice to have a lock box for the room key, that was great for peace of mind when leaving our room.

Misunderstood completely what breakfast would look like at this accommodation. Was expecting hot breakfast in a common room but we were supplied with milk, oats and some toast which was lovely.

Self check in was extremely simple and convenient. The shared bathroom was clean and neat. We didn't encounter a single staff member so I can't comment on the staff. The location is great! Walking distance to several streets with bustling restaurants and nightlife but removed just enough so that it's not noisy.

U-Boutique was good value for the price. I briefly met PJ, a staff member whom was very pleasant, cordial and genuinely tentative to any needs or concerns. This was our first "Shared Bathroom" experience and while not perfect, fortunately it wasn't too much of an issue. (We only crossed paths with the other guest once)

The bathroom did need a bit more ventilation as after showers, it would stay damp, even wet for an extended period. An extra floor stopper to prop the door open when not in use would help. Room needed a bit more coffee but otherwise our stay was great!

I really loved the location and the clear communication from beginning to end. The notes and pamphlets in the room with helpful tips and instructions on how to use the facilities was really helpful. I also loved the robes, and found the bathroom clean and spacious!

The water jug could do with replacing, and I would have appreciated a little more milk as well as more water. I was rather nervous about forgetting my swipe card when I was going to the toilet as a this was across the hallway. If the swipecard could be used instead of a key would have been much easier to access both the bathroom and room.

Value for money. Location. Helpful staff.

Website photos were misleading. Two different hotels are pictured. It looks like this hotel has a kitchen, it doesn't. Also it wasn't obvious (to me) on booking that the bathroom was shared between three rooms.

The manager was very helpful. Easy contactless check-in and accommodated my slightly earlier check-in/checkout request. Great location, handy to everything. Breakfast is continental and delivered to the room the evening prior & very generous amount of muesli and toast.

There is a bit of construction at the back of the building. The hotel is very mindful and left earplugs. Construction is only in the daytime and didn't bother me as I was out during the day.

is was near to cuba street

the main door it was open 24 hours ,it doesn’t close properly, so we feel insecure anyone can entry to the hotel and is very small hotel . also before book the hotel, it show up that it have free taxi to the airport and they don’t offer that services anymore. there are 2 new construction projects and even on Saturday the noise is terrible.

The staff were helpful. Parking for $20 per day was great and the location was good, a short walk to Cuba St, Logan Brown, Ombra etc The apartment was spacious, it had everything we needed for our short stay.

The windows could do with a wash but there is construction next door (didn t bother us at all) so that might be the cause of the dirty windows
