beautiful building inside and the room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. special thanks to Jefferson who looked after us, right from opening the door on our arrival with a big smile.

the breakfast gets a bit boring after two mornings. it’d be nice if they gave you an option to make omelette

We stayed at three different locations on our recent trip to Portugal and this was probably our favorite hotel. It's a hidden gem only a block off the one of the main roads in Lisbon so it's close to everything including lots of shopping. We booked the suite which was very well appointed, had a nice terrace and was reasonably priced. Everyone on the staff was incredibly friendly, always accommodating and helpful with recommendations for dinner and tourist attractions. The breakfast buffet each morning was wonderful as well. I would highly recommend this boutique hotel and hope to stay there again in the future.

Nothing! Only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

We were positively impressed with this hotel and would strongly recommend it as a place for an extended stay in Lisbon. It is comfortable and the room we booked also had a varanda that opens to the room. The room had space for us to unpack our luggage and get organized for a longer stay. The bathroom is also spacious, convenient and had room for your stuff. The staff was super helpful and the hotel is in a quiet street but close to shops and restaurants. We found the breakfast to be excellent.

It's not their fault but the construction in the property across the street created a lot of noise during the day, which was annoying because we were jet lagged and needed to rest a bit in the afternoon when we just arrived. That was not an issue at night. A pet peeve is that they didn't have free mineral water for guests and charged a lot for the water in the mini bar. This is the only hotel in Portugal (out of 4) that didn't offer free daily water in the room.

This beautiful property is very comfortable, quiet, and convenient, but what makes it shine is the incredible staff. They will quickly learn what you like for breakfast, open doors, push elevator buttons, make recommendations for dinner (and book reservations, with a special table) and book tours. I am not a person who relies on hotel staff, but I have to say the people there---Judrigo, Victor, Graca---made my experience that much better. They make each and every guest feel very special and welcome. The hotel itself a lovely Art Deco property built in 1944 and the theme is present in every room, the atrium, the bar, and the lobby. Port and Ginginha are free at the bar for most of the day. The hotel also provides a carafe of port that is refilled daily, for your room. Location is off the Avenida de Liberdade, a fantastic place for shopping high-end brands, but the hotel is on a quiet side street. We walked most places, but found that an uber ride back, if we strayed too far into say, Chiado or Alfama and were footsore, was usually under 5 euros. Breakfast---scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, grilled tomatoes, beans, grilled vegetables, white asparagus, breads, pastries, jams, three kinds of juice, cereal, milk, yogurt, fruit, nuts. There are meats and cheeses, and fresh mozzarella with tomato and cucumber slices. There is an espresso maker in the bar area, or you can have brewed coffee. Breakfast is served from 7:30 to noon.

I wish I could have stayed longer.

Traditional hotel with interesting period features, but with all the facilities you would expect from a modern one. The staff were exceptional: friendly and helpful at all times, but with a genuine concern to make our stay perfect. We struggled to remember a hotel we have stayed in that had better staff from reception to concierge to doorman. The free afternoon tea and cakes were a welcome bonus when returning after a full day exploring the city.

Situated a little way from the centre of town, but just off the main road and only a short distance from the Metro so no real problems getting around.

HUGE beds Big and comfortable rooms in beautiful art-deco style Extremely polite, professional and friendy staff Really nice breakfast (incl. freshly squeezed orange juice, wide selection of sweet pastry and delicious fresh fruit) Superb location - walking distance to all main sights, close to the Rossio station (10 min walking) as well as to the airport (20 min drive) Daily refill of caraffe of wine in the room Complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby bar

We do not really have anything on our mind, we felt really welcome and comfortable!

The location of this hotel is fantastic with most sights within walking distance or the metro station right on your doorstep. The room and bed are HUGE and spotless, with a very comfortable bed and everything you need. The toiletries are beautiful (from Molton Brown) and the shower heats up immediately. There is a lot of choice for breakfast and is super delicious! Above all, the reception and housekeeping staff at the hotel provide a world class service and make you feel like royalty.

Shower curtains but it’s not too much of a bother!

Lovely heritage hotel which takes you to the British era of the 1930s of a Jeeves novel. Excellent location just off Liberdade, with exceptional staff like Miguel and the others. The ladies in the restaurant look after the guests like family. Champagne breakfast and day long teas. Spacious rooms with huge comfy beds, well appointed. Great housekeeping n cleanliness. We definitely will be staying here whenever we visit Lisbon.

Very little to not like. Just a few "wants"....better quality teabags and coffee in the rooms. And for a hotel harking of the Brit colonial era, the lack of BBC World News was an anomaly.

This is a lovely quiet and serene hotel , just off the main Avenida Liberdade - a very central spot in Lisbon. This is a very Portuguese area of Lisbon, not solely set up for the foreign tourists, but an area where locals come to, in the evenings or for the expensive shops. The road one back from the hotel has lots of small local restaurants, some aspiring to michelin status, and some family places , where Mum/Dad is in the kitchen and the adult children are running front of house. On Avenida Liberdade are some expensive restaurants, which are very good, if thats your thing. The main thing about the Britania is the is the lovely staff, they were all so pleasant and welcoming, its a stylish hotel and very well maintained. The breakfast was particularly good, with the breakfast staff being specially helpful - with breakfast available from 6:30 to 12:00 - so whenever your schedule requires. The only 'negatives' for me was that the room was a little small, we had a balcony room which was lovely, but the bed is up against the raised floor/platform for the balcony, and getting in and out of bed on that side was very difficult ( the bed was only 25 cm higher than the platform ) and there was no bedside cabinet on that side either. My other difficulty was getting in and out of the shower, its over a lovely deep bath, but stepping in and out of the bath could be very tricky for less agile guests. These are small things and did not spoil our stay. I would thoroughly recommend the Britania hotel, and this area of Lisbon to any travellers.

Our third stay at this hotel luxurious and hidden gem in the centre of the city. Hotel Britania is steeped in history and respects the days of the roaring 20's and 30's. The rooms are exceptionally spacious, clean and have all the best amenities. Our bathroom was large with rainforest shower to bath, Moulton Brown toiletries and plenty of fluffy, clean towels. Our bed was large and very comfortable; not too hard, not too soft with a selection of pillows! The team at The Britania could not do any more to make our overnight stay perfect! The car park at the hotel is large enough for several vehicles and secure.

There is nothing I can say here!!!
