Great location, very close to Parque Eduardo VII, which was great for one of the Christmas markets. Also very convenient from the airport bus 744 terminus point and the metro stations. The room was very quiet, no street noise at all and was clean. Bed was comfortable. Good air conditioning. Bathroom was small, like the room, but complimentary toiletries, which looked to be good quality (although I didn’t test them. No problem checking out at 3.15am and member of staff rang for a taxi for me.

The room was very small and only had a very narrow window. The only plug socket I could find was actually hidden behind the wardrobe, so had to move the wardrobe to charge phone etc. would have like a kettle for a morning brew as no drinks available in the hotel.

Good Location Near Marquis Pombal station which connects with other lines or goes down the main part of downtown. Charming vibe, saw a beautiful view of the sunrise over the city from my room!

The toilets/bathroom smelled like sewer water all day. It was so gross.

During my stay in Lisbon, I had the pleasure of lodging at the Villa Nova hotel, surpassing my expectations in terms of both affordability and convenient location. - Bathroom could be better, really small and not really previously clean. we found lots of hair from the people that stayed previously - Inner sound isolation, which is common in most of the hotels. Cleaners woke us up very early in the morning..

Very clean and tidy, but unfortunately we did not have a fridge in our room. I did not mind the small space but I had the chance to see a different room in the same guest house. It was much ,much bigger, with a fridge and a kettle, big wardrobe as well. When we asked at the reception about that we were told that we booked for a standard room... But we did not know that and the price was almost the same. So if you book, be mindful about your request. Otherwise, I would really recommend this accommodation, placed in a very nice area, Marquis de Pombal. There is a lovery café just outside the house, serving pastries and very good coffee! Metro station just few minutes away, only 3 stops to reach the old city centre. From the plaza square you could get the hop in, hop off buses. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We appreciated the cleanliness and the surrounding, it's definitely a beautiful area.

We really missed the fridge in the room.

The accommodation was beautiful and clean. The cleaning ladies offered to clean it daily but it was not necessary. The beds were comfortable, the check-in was hassle free (you could pay the city tax by card) and I can only recommend staying in this guesthouse.

The bathroom was very tiny with very narrow door as well. It was a bit uncomfortable, especially when you wake up in the middle of the night and want to use it, so just be careful not to hit yourself. The room was next to the main entrance to the floor with the other rooms, so this door is used very often. Even in the mornings when you still want to sleep. SLAM! :)

The staff was amazing. Apparently there is a problem with taxis taking you the wrong places so he made sure we got in the right taxi. He hung out of the window. The taxi driver did try to overcharge is 5 euros and got a little pissy when we told him the meter said something else. He went down 2 euros. When I pointed out that was not the right charge, he went down another 4 euros. Then finally accepted the charge that was on his meter. We really appreciated the staff person making sure we got in the right taxi.

A bit of street noise and bought is was not in the best location but all good. Also, we were in the 5th floor unit. The shower caulking is moldy and should be resone otherwise, it was very clean.

a very nice Guesthouse, reception is in it's own floor but open 24 hours and I was able to do an early check out with no problems and entry to the building requires a keycard so it felt safe although the reception isn't on the ground floor. rooms are basic but provide everything you need, nice bad, tv, good a/c, enough wall outlets, shower was ok, daily room cleaning, Wi-Fi was surprisingly really good, each floor have a sperate Wi-Fi network and even that my rooms was at the end of the corridor i had a fast connection. also location was pretty nice in my opinion, I liked that it wasn't right at the center as it gave a more quiet and relaxed experience at the end of a busy day while still being easy to get to and from the center via buses and the metro which is 2 minute from the guesthouse.

room could have been cleaner and more maintained. also, i don't know if it's up to the guesthouse abilities to handle but there were more then usual amount of mosquitos in the room.

The Vila Nova guesthouse is located in an amazing central position in Lisbon city centre. It's a minute's walk away from the Marquês de Pombal metro station (located on the yellow and blue lines) and the Avenida, one of the best shopping streets in Europe. There's a Supermarket (Continente) a minute down the road too in the opposite direction, so you have plenty of amenities and connections available. The Rooms themselves are very spacious and clean and feel just like being in a 4 star hotel. The Bathroom was nice and large with a good tall shower (a rare find in Lisbon, I have been too tall for a lot of the showers I've come across there). The beds are also very comfy and a nice size. The staff at the 24/7 reception are super friendly and helpful, giving fantastic tips and being happy to help. They are all absolutely a credit to the establishment and contribute a lot to what I enjoyed about my stay.

I found the pillows to be a bit too hard, but I was able to adjust after the first night. The stairs up are very uneven and curved (a characteristic of old buildings in the area) so you need to be careful going up and down them. There is however an elevator available so that would alleviate any mobility concerns.

The room was serviced everyday which was excellent if your staying more than a night. The bed linen was great quality and the tea/ coffee refreshments and facilities were very handy.

I had an allergy in the room from the air con. The filters must not be clean or it's not been serviced on time. I am asthmatic and have dust allergies so the 1st night I had no sleep, hives and asthma. U had to sleep with the balcony door open and my husband got severely bit by mosquitos. One lady at reception said I couldn't be moved but would refund the money. As my 1st time in Portugal my husband was reluctant to change to a totally new area with respects to prices.
