Hotel is beautiful. Modern and comfortable rooms, very well soundproofed. Exceptionally lovely and caring front desk staff. During my stay in Bergamo I experienced a rail strike which completely crushed my original travel plans to Switzerland via Milan. Came back to the hotel from Bergamo train station after all trains to Milano Centrale cancelled. I didn't know what to do. Reception lady Viktoria helped me to arrange a taxi to Milan. Taxi arrived in 6 minutes and I was in Milano Centrale in 40 minutes! Got there on time to catch my train to Switzerland still with plenty of time - one hour before its departure. Thanks to a lovely employee of this hotel. Definitely come back here.

Great hotel in a central location. Fresh. modern decor. The lady that checked us in was very helpful and efficient. Our room was spotless and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was really good with lots of choice. Nice bar area to get drinks in the evening. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Would stay again

Had a issue organising transfers to and from the airport. Was assured that this was being arranged but on looking for confirmation was informed that I would need to make my own arrangements. Unfortunate misunderstanding that added unwanted stress to our trip.

Breakfast personel very friendly and helpfull. Location just about ideal. Nice room, nice bathroom, large TV, just lots of comfort. Quality of the breakfast good, only the coffee....one of those machines...you expect better in Italy. After the first night we had our coffee in one of the shops in the street.

Timing of having the breakfast is important as "re-fills" are a bit slow so you may expect empty plates. Two persons in a room means (in my view) two sets of towels. There is 1 in the bathroom, the other set hidden in a drawer near the entrance. But we found it. The doorhandle of the bathroom was loose so a little scary moment of almost being locked up in there.

Nice hotel, very convenient location as it's a 4 minutes walk from the station. We stayed for one night as we wanted to be close to the city and the airport. Cita Alta is not far either. Just a bus ride away, or a nice walk to the teleferic, which takes you up to the old town.

Two housekeepers came in our room whilst we were in it without permission. The first one, didn't even knock on the door, just opened it (she forgot the key inside, I'm assuming after cleaning it), and the other one, knocked once, didn't even wait a second for me to open, she just opened the door, and went straight to the fridge. She didn't speak English, so I'm assuming, she either wanted to check if we had use something from the mini bar as we were checking out that day, or to see whether she needed to refill it?

Excellent location, close to train / bus station in Citta Basa. - Great breakfast, not extremely varied day by day, but tasty and fresh - The room was cosy, big enough, with comfortable beds & very clean - Quality shower gel & soap (Nuxe) - Nice staff

- I had a reservation for 2 rooms and we had issues with both of them when using our access card. Reception personnel was helpful, but the fact that the door / accces card jamed often was quite unpleasant. - For one of the rooms my reservation allowed smokers, but at reception I was told they actually do not exist. It should be removed from website/ booking if it is the case.

Beautiful hotel, and a great location. very pleasant, helpful staff on reception and great that they stored our luggage for us until we left for the airport later in the afternoon. Lovely breakfast with wide choice of food although at times the restaurant was very busy. The staff at breakfast were more than accommodating and very friendly as were the cleaning staff who kept the room immaculate. The room was spacious, very comfortable beds and a large bathroom with fantastic shower. Overall the hotel and facilities were second to none and should we return to Bergamo will definitely be staying at the Mercure Bergamo Centro Palazzo Dolci. We had a wonderful stay. Arrivederci Bergamo!

Clean, tidy and a very nice room with a great bed and shower. Plus points for a water kettle, coffee and many pillows. Room felt luxurious with its carpeted floor and the view out the window.

A few small things I had to get fixed. The water kettle was dirty and it was the wrong model for the heater base. Easy fix and dealt quickly by the staff. The room’s window didn’t close properly so it was a bit noisier even though it was double layered. Nothing we could do about that. The last day our coffees were not refilled and the door’s electric lock broke somehow. We had to wait a little over an hour for the staff to get it fixed. Weird and probably very rare occasion.

Beds extremely comfortable, rooms spacious and bathroom was amazing. Breakfast was excellent, lots of healthy options. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Hotel very clean and an excellent location for exploring. Reception staff, Denise, Comfort, Thomas and Yasmina were extremely polite, helpful and we had fun with them too.

Reception can be crowded at check in desk, interrupting the flow of traffic. The room safe is operated by credit card used for booking. Personally, to type in a code you choose feels more secure and saves taking out credit card all the time to open and lock.

The location was very good for arriving from and departing to the airport and for the railway station. Pleasant walking distance to the funicular. Lovely room, and thank you for the kettle and coffee/tea/sugar and for the minibar.

I did not like cardboard drinking cups, and thought that normal glasses should be in a 4 stars hotel. At my first day, just after arrival, I had some problems with water inthe bathroom: it was cold and I was not able to get warm/hot water. Next day everything was OK. And I had a feeling that the cleaning lady is not very experienced: cardboard cups disappeared, and were not replaced; coffee sticks were not replaced; to leave my nighty on the desk was not a good idea)) However, I thank her very much for finding my ring which I thought had been lost!!! On the whole, everything was OK)

Staff were amazing and very friendly, we had an issue with our door key cards and they made sure to have someone come up to our room to sort it. Cleaning staff kept the room super nice to come back to after a long day.

Our room key cards got corrupted and the whole door system wouldn't work without a staff access card, so it made our stay inconvenient. The staff did have to come up to our room with us everytime we wanted to open the door, but they were really nice about it.
