It was the first time we tried a Bunk bed and we really loved it. The bed are pretty good at from outside and the ventilation inside is more than sufficient. We didn't feel claustrophobic at all. The service here is pretty good too- they promptly replied to our messages. The place is also a stone's throw away from the Chinatown MRT stop, so it's easy to get to (or 27 SGD from the airport by Grab).

The guy receptionist is very helpful when I first check-in and through out the stay. The location is very convenient as it's just a min away from Chinatown MRT.

Still not used to sharing room with others so does gets a bit on my nerve when other are too noisy or snore during sleep.

I like the space in the private room. Big enough for me & my friend to share and open our luggage. Got a table to put our stuff and got a few plugs too. Got a big space in the lobby to chill and got a kitchen pantry. The staff was good and tried their best to work fast since everyone was checking in for Taylor swift concert 😅

There's only 1 toilet and 2 shower cubicles in the female bathroom which I think is not enough for so many rooms on the 2nd floor. I heard the 3rd floor also same. We were there for Taylor swift concert, everyone was rushing to use the bathroom and doing makeup that it's crowded and need queue for shower/toilet. Only got 1 hairdryer and it will stop when overheated. The room is not sound proof, so it's easy to hear the noises outside the hostel & outside our room especially since our room is next to the female bathroom (Tenderheart room). Everytime people go in, the door will bang.

We love that this hostel provide self-service laundry and adequate kitchen so that we can do the laundry while preparing our breakfast. We enjoy the comfortable and well air conditioned common room to rest or to quick check our mails. There is (very high temperature) iron available at the ground floor. Our bed, pillow, and blanket is very comfortable we did slept very well. The room is not totally sound proof but we were not bothered by the sound since it was not that loud either. There is a place to hang dry our clothes in the bathroom.

The bedroom we chose was private for two, and it was not as big as in the picture. Some of the light at the ladies bathroom in the 3rd floor was off. There was some mold in the shower area. The sink didn't drain well. There were no bathroom sandals available.

Very cold room - great after walking around Singapore. Little table in the outside bit was great to sit at. Bathrooms are pretty tropical- wide windows you can see the city from. Not air conditioned bathrooms.

The common area at night felt a little sketchy - mostly men all the time. No one was laughing or joking. Perhaps long termers. You have to key in a code to get in but there wasnt any 24/7 reception. I would of felt saver with someone at the desk. I didn’t know if the men hanging out the front were guests or not. So yeah, as a female, would of loved a 24/7 staff attending the desk. Or some lights out the front. Not many cheap hostel options in SG, might stay at a hotel next time, even if its more expensive.

It's a budget hostel, and I don't have high expectations, but so far, I think the experience has been above average. Digital lockpads at the staircase and on the door of each room provide extra security. The bed was comfy for me, and its length is sufficient (I am around 170cm). The air conditioning is strong enough. Across the road, there is a shopping mall with a supermarket (Fairprice) and eateries where you can get your toiletries and food. It is located very near Chinatown MRT station.

The bed frame is a bit shaky when your roommate moves slightly, requiring extra gentleness when turning to my side while sleeping. There isn't enough space to open a suitcase; it's more suitable for backpackers. The shower and toilet are a bit small. Reception is not open 24 hours.

I am writing the review after staying a long term stay in Beary Best Hostel. It is the best hostel in overall Singapore. You will be getting all the necessary facilities and services. The atmosphere is very friendly. They have a small pantry and a good dinning area. You will be able to do laundry here (8 dollars for Washer and Dryer each). They regularly change the bedsheets and provide towels . If you are planning to stay for a longer duration then this is the best option in overall Singapore.

Having read the comments, was worried about coming due to cleanliness. The place is decently clean, the toilets and bathrooms have been cleaned every morning (they are shared). The bed was tidy with no issues. The staff have been super helpful and gave useful tips on where to eat and what todo. Would definitely recommend. Do bare in mind, this place is basic and you get what you pay for. It is also in a run down looking area but it is central and easy enough to get to places. But definitely worth the money and great for travellers. This has been my first stop, back packing around Asia and has been a pleasant first stay. I have had no issues with sounds, but I understand this will vary per person as the beds are in a shared room.

This is very firmly in the realm of the best hostels! It feels really homely – has an ample sized kitchen and dining area and an area to chill on relaxing couches. This is an amazing place, run by wonderful people. lyen brought such warmth and a caring atmosphere that I will truly miss. She's such a wonderful and loving person. Thank you for a very relaxed stay, I felt very comfortable at the hostel and felt very secure. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the facilities were kept to a high cleanliness standard. Our stay in this hostel was excellent. The beds are roomy and very comfortable. The curtains give a lot of privacy and every capsule is provided with locker space and even a hanger. Towels, soap, drinking water, internet, coffee, tea and a light breakfast are also provided. They have other very useful things for the luggage they have a big luggage store Room , full body mirror outside room or an iron machine. All the spaces were always kept clean. Location is great, central, in a quiet street but close to MRT and a lot of bus lines. Staff is super nice and always available
