The location is amazingly strategic whereby the Chinatown MRT Station is right behind it. Nearby is filled with all the eateries and souvenir shops, and even one shop selling China stuff whereby you can buy 3 bottle drinks for just $2. The room itself is smaller but it is a common thing in Singapore where they have scarce land. The room is compact with what have equipped, the bed is not too soft nor too hard, overall I'm satisfied with what I had. Despite located at a very busy place, they have their security done well whereby after certain hours at night, you can only access to the premise with your hotel card and not any random person can just bump into the premise.

The light is bit too dim in the room, no hairdryer.

Great location, friendly staff. I asked "could I get a fresh towel?" and immediately felt like I asked the most stupid question that had ever been asked. It was at least funny. Foyer is very cool. Snacks across the road. Fridge fits beer.

Was a bit mouldy (for Singapore [i.e. very]), aircon was a bit bad, towels sometimes looked like floor mats, had to sit side saddle on the toilet, had to hunt in the halls for fresh towels, sheets didn't cover the bottom foot of the mattress (I felt like I'd been short sheeted), carpet was sticky and stained, wife complained about showerhead, shower door, and stairs (lack of lift). I've had worse and will have again. Know what you're getting and you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Rooms are clean and feel comfortable. They are very approachable in terms of any request regarding our stay. They change bed mattress and clean the trash everyday.

They dont have elevator, and they do housekeeping without your knowledge. It goods to see the room was cleaned but our things was left there, maybe they can informed the guest if they will do the housekeeping so we can put our personal things on our luggage before we go out of our room.

Great location if you don't mind the durians of Chinatown! For a business traveler it's easy to walk around, catch the MRT or get a Grab car. Staff is nice and there's luggage storage after check-out.

Facilities a bit old - the sink had a leak which made the bathroom floor perpetually damp, and the air conditioning made a musty humidity. Noise from the street until midnight, but OK after that

I liked my room, it had good features and a very nice bathroom, although the bath had no plug. A painting or poster on the wall would have been a nice touch. Aircon was great, bed was comfortable.

It would have been better if the windows opened.

I was in Singapore for a short stay in transit and chose this hotel based on price and location. I liked it for both of those things but also because it's old and quaint.

The aircon was a bit hard to turn on, off, and when it was off there was still a fan (a little noisy). Travellers who can't manage stairs would struggle at this hotel - no elevator and steep stairs.

location in Chinatown, about 200m from MTR station; Old style hotel , room size was OK, everything worked - good shower; bed sheets and towels changed daily; wifi ok, restaurants of all types and small bars nearby.

Excellent location and beautiful foyer, air conditioning, Wi-Fi and included fridge, kettle, tea, coffee, creamer and toiletries. also helpful friendly staff and able to leave bag after check out. Also left item of clothing behind which they found for me!

A bit noisy and small room - slightly bigger than double bed. Also Wi-Fi connection a little patchy on occasion.

great location, amazing price. clean hotel and staff are nice. easy links to train station and Chinatown location is 100% the way to go for a cheaper stay.

some bits of the room need rejuvenation but other than that I can’t say anything bad

Very good location. Heart of Chinatown with food, market and public transportation.

A little run down but bearable with the price paid.
