Quite, accessable rooms with excellent seaviews from the balcony. Nice bar and lobby area - for when the weather isn't great. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff. Great buffet breakfast

Superb room - seemed brand new. Lovely view at breakfast. Breakfast had all that we wanted and staff were excellent with clean tables and care being taken.

When we arrived the heating was not working in our room and the receptionist said she would get it looked at. When we returned to the room it was still really cold. She kindly provided a heater but it generally didn’t seem that the heating was working properly for the room. We had extended our stay by one day and were informed that we would have to update our room card the next day. We did this but then the card stopped working again the next day. It was irritating as the young receptionist was somewhat abrupt and she said it was because of security. This did not make any sense as we had originally booked the room for two days. If only she had just said sorry that happened rather than being officious and making it feel like it was our fault. Usually the staff are pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is in a perfect beach front location and within a short walk to the town centre, theatres and railway station. Even though the 7th floor double room didn't have a sea view, it had a city view which was still a wonderful sight with the hills and south downs to the distance. The king size bed was very comfortable and the room had all of the facilities you could possibly need for a restful stay. The room and all of the communal areas were spotlessly clean. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I asked for some extra pillows and they were sent straight away. The cooked breakfast was good and there was plenty of choice for the continental selection, both savoury and sweet. Will definitely be staying here again.

There was dry soiling on the outside off the toilet base- Under the lid/ toilet seat rim was quite dirty. Some areas of the room were quite dusty. Lack of a small fridge in the room especially In a higher rated room more so in hot weather There Is no need for a quilt in summer -would have been nice to have a choice of bedding?!!!! The Air Con /fan was fairly noisy mainly at night time Not much choices for vegetarians at Breakfast

Felt more could be done with the balconies very sparse and unkempt. Also air conditioning was not very good. The staff did their best to assist me and also gave a an extra key and a fan so I could keep the AC on even when not in the room. My daughter and granddaughter came to collect me and stayed over one night and their AC didn’t work at all. Was given a fan but still uncomfortably hot in the room The main reason I chose this hotel was for the AC and the balconies so felt a bit cheated saying this I would stay again but ask the hotel to check my rooms ac prior to my stay

We booked two rooms one for us (we are local) and one for our Niece and husband (who travelled from Birmingham) The event staff particularly Kendra were brilliant and managed to squeeze us into the Christmas Dinner in the night we had booked. The Christmas Cavery food was excellent and the staff organised the tables to go up to get served brilliantly. The room itself was spotless, comfortable and quite. The shower was powerful and hot and very regreshing. Breakfast was very well presented, hot with lots to choose from for every taste.

TheDJ could have played more Christmassy songs earlier. He ignored our music requests.
