This is a very modern hotel with a high standard design. The marble floor in reception and in the bathroom of our room was a delight. I also loved the ornate design to the facade of the building. The bed in the room was a dream, so cosy and comfortable and the blackout curtains, yes, yes and yes. Thank you. They have a fire stick so you can watch Netflix etc. A real bonus. Wi-Fi was real good. The Art Deco lift is a treat; what a smooth ride. My daughter wanted to use it all the time even though we were on the first floor. There is a piano in the bar area that guests can play, which was lovely. My daughter wanted to practice, a-bonus. There are board games in the lounge area if required, great for rainy days. The breakfast was lovely, and we were served and that it was not a buffet, which I preferred. The hotel is around a 10 minute walk to the shopping centre, plus very close to the beach and attractions. You can take a tour bus from the Pier or Bandstand to Beachy Head, Belle Tout and Birling Gap. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, I could not ask for more. I liked that we paid at the end of our stay and not upfront for each item purchase. Perfect. I would stay here again.

The cleaning could have been perfected for a 5 star hotel. There were two types of hair on the taps. Dried white splash water marks on the marble around the basin, which was off-putting. It looked like toothpaste stains. The shower pole had a hand print on it. Yuck. There were stains on the couch and what appeared to be a spot of blood stain at the base of the bed. Not nice.

Very comfortable room with a direct view of the seafront. Good range of cable television options available, more than most other hotels. Location of the hotel was excellent - walking distance to many dining places and also to the town centre. Situated in between the pier and the bandstand which was a treat as we were able to hear the band performance and watch the Wednesday fireworks from our window! Good availability of parking spaces at a very reasonable cost for hotel guests. Staff were very friendly and helpful - Olivia and Glenn deserve a mention and also George, the General Manager. The hotel provides a good discount incentive for future visits - will certainly be tempted to take the offer!

A nice room in great location. Loved the high ceilings and the bed was super comfortable. I travelled the south east for seven days and slept in seven different beds. This one was by far the best. The bathroom was big, bright and really nice, all tiled in marble tiles. Looked like it had been recently renovated. The only downside was it had no shower, just a bath. And a bidet, which is something you don't see very often. I personally would have preferred a shower to the bidet but at least the mixer for the tub had a handheld shower head so you could hose your self down. All the public rooms, like the bar and breakfast room were really beautiful not to mention the old lift in the lobby which gave it quite the character. Beautiful.

Even though our room was bright, spacious and almost amazing, in some places it looked like it was in the process of renovation or really needed to be. Some of the walls were a bit patchy, had, what seemed to be, loose spackle and painting that came off easily by just stroking the walls and some had really bad paintwork at other places. And also, I would have liked to have had a proper shower in the bathroom.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and being able to have a £2 a day parking ticket provided was a big bonus. The location was excellent, right on the sea front near the Bandstand. The room looked like it had recently been refurbished and was very comfortable with a sea view. The bar area and sitting room at the front were very comfortable and beautifully decorated.

There was a beautiful dining room for Breakfast only. Why couldn't they also do evening meals? We found the laid out breakfast items were almost cold, as there didn't seem to be any heating on the food. However, you could order something directly from the chef and it came to your table.

Fantastic sea view on a sunny day, brilliant position with big windows and a chaise longue in our room. We did pay for a view and bit of overnight luxury and a getaway from London life. Fab kingsized bed, big bathroom. Got a parking voucher from hotel which is handy.

The signal on TV was patchy so couldn't really watch it without consistent interference and glitches (wouldn't mind but for the price would expect better / digital reception). Did mention to receptionist but TV people only come in once a week and was only in overnight so nothing could be done. Additional charge £20 for breakfast so easier to go get breakfast on Terminus Rd round the corner.

Great location, stylish hotel, sea view was amazing and we were lucky to have beautiful sunny days to enhance the view (although it would look good even on cloudy days), generous breakfast with plenty of choice and a beautifully decorated breakfast room, clean and spacious bedroom and bathroom, very comfortable bed. Fabulous old style gated lift. We really enjoyed our stay and felt relaxed and rested.

Minor issue but the bed base could have been covered from an aesthetic point of view, it looked a little unfinished. Some carpet stains in corridors.

Such a superb hotel. Friendly, welcoming, helpful staff; sumptuous games room (our favourites were Chess, Giant Pick Up Sticks, Harry Potter Scrabble and the electronic keyboard), fabulous cocktail bar with piano, eclectic dining room, stunning open lift, delicious breakfast to suit all tastebuds, fantastic location… but most of all, the family suite on the first floor was INCREDIBLE - the space, the comfort, the view and the jacuzzi bath… just fantastic. We will all hold fond memories of our stay at The Chatsworth Hotel. Thank you!

It would be great if breakfast could be included in the price.

Lovely location, right by the sea front. The room was huge, very clean and well-equipped. Plenty of space to lounge around and admire the view. It was also quiet, even though facing the road. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The old lift in the entrance was impressive and we enjoyed using it! We also enjoyed our breakfast as there was plenty of choice and good quality ingredients.

The room was very hot when we arrived, so we had to throw open all the windows and turn off the radiators to cool it down. There was a problem with the shower - the water leaked out all over the floor as the drainage was inadequate. As we were only there one night, these things didn't cause a massive problem. We mentioned the drainage issue on our departure.

Beautiful hotel. From the reception to the bar and restaurant to the room, this hotel is high-end with a price not much higher than a really basic hotel. I dropped my case off early and it was in my room when i checked in after 3pm. When I checked in, I was shown to my room (very cool) and the facilities were explained. The rooms are exceptional, modern and very spacious. All the staff are super friendly and professional. I had a wonderful stay and would return for sure. Highly recommended.
